Not worth your time if you are interested in a day long wine tasting tour. The guide was very knowledgable however it felt that she was just talking at the group for the whole day even on the bus ride out to the vineyards it was non stop talking and because there was a different group that joined us after lunch, she pretty much just went over everything she had already told us in the morning. The morning part was far too long. We were in a Museum from 9.45am - 11.15am, and the guide talked us through every point where there were many times where the info was already written on the wall displays. We just walked through Bordeaux city to a restaurant after -The lunch was good, however it wasn't a wine tasting match as stated on the itinerary. We had one bottle of wine per table of 4 people and the wine was pre chosen and not explained at all.

the introductory part in Bordeaux was very informative and the luncheon was delicious... and the tour of the Chateau was lovely. I just wish we had more time in St. Emilion for our own exploring!

Lovely afternoon. Bus held about 45 people which was a lot. Tour guide Brigitte did a great job._br/_ Morning with Francisca was wonderful. She had to fill in last minute for another guide but was calm and collected. She spoke fluently. Lunch was amazing, great value.

Great tour with a very knowledgeable guide. Christine seamlessly provided information about Bordeaux, its wine history, and the Bordeaux wine region in both English and in French.

Excellent tour! A great deal for the money - 9am til 6pm - and a museum and two chateau included with two wine tastings at each place plus a wonderful lunch with more wine there. Our guide was very knowledgeable and very competent for a bilingual tour. For students, the price was a little daunting at first, but we were easily able to follow the descriptions in French and came away very satisfied from a full day very much worth the money. Learned a ton, got to see a lot outside of the city of Bordeaux. Overall an excellent experience.

Trip was not the expected tour of vineyards but a rather long walking tour of Bordeaux with lunch in town before going to two chateau tasting rooms. I had been expecting more time touring the wineries.

Had a great day with out tour guide Brigette, loved the slower pace of the tour, it made you feel like you were actually on holidays, not rushing from one sight to another. Lunch at the Fromages restaurant was delightful as was the visit to the two chateaus, I came away with so much more knowledge on wine... And a few bottles under my wing!

The first part, with the wine museum, walk and lunch was sensational, we were a smallish group.......but then, when we went to the winery we ended up being a large bus full group, with people being babies over seating. At St Emilion it was rushed and overcrowded with tourists. The winery was meah...

Worst Tour EVER. _br/_ Very boring morning. _br/_ The Guide was terrible, she repeated the same thing over and over and the delivery was not engaging. she talked the whole time on the bus but again saying the same thing over and over. _br/_ At the wine tastings you receive the smallest amount of wine ever - book something else.

Great value for money and an excellent guide - started the morning with a tour of the wine museum, a walking tour of central Bordeaux and then had a lovely lunch at a fromagier. The tour of St Emillion was great too - very informative and the tour of the underground church was very interesting. Would highly recommend.

Excellent tour with great meal and company thrown in. Could't have asked for more. My knowledge of Bordeaux wines and St Emilion in particular has been improved considerably due to all the guides encountered on the tours. Would recommend this tour to anyone.

The morning part was mostly spent in the wine museum, the talking was a bit too much and too detailed at times. Saint Emilion is beautiful, the chateau trip was nice as well for the afternoon part but the ultra-talkative guide has killed the charm a bit.

2 1/2 hours at in that basement at a "museum" was excessive. Not only was it boring and tiresome to stand there for that long but the information was hard to believe on account of the dozens of typos and grammatical errors the museum had in their displays. The vineyard and lunch were nice though.

The restaurant for lunch was excellent! We would have like to see more than one vineyard, but the wine tasted amazing. The tour lady wasn't that informative (we probably could have read everything she told us online).

The morning session on the history of wine in Bordeaux was very good. The wine history museum was interesting and well presented. We also walked through an interesting part of Bordeaux that I may not have otherwise done. It was nice that it was the annual wine and jazz day with street markets along the way. The guide was very good. The morning ended with a lovely lunch in a local restaurant. I didn't find the afternoon visit to two vineyards so interesting but achieved the aim of seeing some of the countryside. The afternoon program and information were good, but not something I'm really interested in. It was all well organised.

Our tour was great, I learned a lot about the history of the port of Bordeaux and how the wine business was started. Catherine, our tour guide, was so passionate about the history of Bordeaux. She was an absolute delight and her energy was great! She explained things in English and French! We did the full day wine trip, which I highly recommend.

This tour was good and visited some lovely places. The wine museum was very interesting, the lunch at the cheese place was delicious, St Emilion was extremely beautiful and the Chateaux we visited was informative._br/_ There is a lot of walking, which I really enjoyed as it allows you to take a lot in, but some people in my group were not quite prepared for it._br/_ The Chateaux only has a few wines, which is fine, but none of them were particularly to my taste. Had I known there would be such a small selection I would have bought some wine at St Emilion to take back._br/_ My favourite parts were the yummy lunch (make sure you like cheese...which I certainly do!) and walking around gorgeous St Emilion._br/_ My only real complaint is that although it says there is commentary in English I found there was very little. Most of it was long explainations in French with a few brief points in English. But I guess thst was also due to most of the guests speaking French. However, the guide was lovely and when she realised us English-speaking folk were missing out she did her best to catch us up on the information._br/_ All in all it was a good day and I'm glad I did it. Also, very good value for the price.

The lunch was a good value and the tastings were good, but the guide did not speak English very well and the pace of the day was very slow. I would have liked more opportunities for tasting wine, whether included in the price of the tour or at an additional cost. St Emillion was very beautiful, but we spent way too much time with the barrels at the winery listening to drawn out explanation. A quick tour of the cellar is great, but we could have heard the rest of the explanation in the beautiful vineyard or while tasting or on the bus. The same goes for the museum tour, way too much time was spent in the museum. In the time it too the guide to explain everything, I could have toured the museum and read all the information myself 4 times over. I've done many tastings and wine tours before and I would have to say this was not at the top my list as a superb experience and I couldn't say that I would recommend it.

This was defintiely value for money however tour guide didn't sit with the group for lunch, instead choosing to eat on her own at the restaurant. There was no check at the beginning to ensure all participants had arrived so there was confusion about whether there were people missing from the tour. The afternoon tour was too big (an entire coach worth of people). The tour guide didn't check if everyone was on board the bus before leaving Saint Emillion and 2 girls were nearly left behind (we had to yell for the bus to stop). They were only running about 2 mins late. The tour guide just kept saying 'are you sure you're all on the right bus'. The wine tasting was unfortunately a bit boring - the winery owner explained in great detail every aspect of wine making so we stood in the heat for about 30-45mins while he explained in French and the tour guide then translated into English. Unfortunately the guide was not able to translate everything as she was not sure how to translate some words into English. Unfortunately i would not recommend this tour despite the value for money. There were just too many people on this tour for it to be enjoyable and the tour guide was not very personable.

Great tour. The guide was very knoweledagble about every thing wine in Bordeaux, plus full of interesting bits of other information. Lunch was excellent as well. The tour around the winery was interesting, but must be a fan of red wine for the tasting. White wine not included.

good trip but too much information throughout the day. We were supposed to be a small intimate group but finally it was only in the morning. After lunch, we were 30-35 and it was hard to follow the guide who was speaking a lot and giving too much information.

My husband and I truly enjoyed our Bordeaux wine trip to St. Emilion. The bus was ontime, the guide was knowledgeable and pleasant. The lunch was superb and the visit to the château was informative and enjoyable. In addition, we felt it was a great bargain, well worth the price.

Mostly interesting day. The only problem was that the guide didn't know when to be quiet and just let us enjoy the scenery from the bus. Having her say everything in two languages just made it worse.

misunderstanding! It wasnt trip by coach. Half day we was walking in Bordeaux , not in winery. We splend a long time on Bordeaux's streets. It wasnt interesting at all! Better idea is to take short wine trip then they take you directly to the winery.

We loved this trip, as it was a great way to get out into the vinyards, learn about the wine making, and to have some wine tasting. It was a great way to use the one full day we had in Bordeaux. Also make sure you do the full day and not just the half, as it allows a good look into the history of the region and includes a great lunch!

A good value. Be prepared to walk - around the city of Bordeaux and in the village of St.Emilion. Lunch was excellent, and must have cost a significant portion of the tour fee. Our guide was pretty knowledgeable and you get to see a decent amount of scenery on the trip from Bordeaux to St.Emilion. There were running translations in French and English which kept our guide quite busy. It was an extended day which kept us busy. We drank wine in the morning at the museum, wine at lunch, and wine at the chateau. (And of course we sampled wines in stores in St. Emilion on our own euros). At the end of the day, the tourist office is across the street from Maison du Vin, which has great wines to drink at amazingly low prices. A good way to spend the day.

Too much talking. Guide explained everything in english and french. Half of the info could be read by ourselves in the chateau district. Wine-tasting was good. Lunch of fried duck and cheese-tasting was fantastic. Too little time at St. Emilion.

Although this tour is a full day wine tour, don't expect there to be too much wine tasting. Over the entire day, I tasted 4 different wines, two at a chateau and two in the city of Bordeaux in a wine Museum. Expect to be walking around for the morning and a bus trip in the afternoon. _br/_ Lunch is great - if you like cheese.

Spent the first half of the day walking from the muesum back into town which was boring. Lunch was good. only got to 6 wine tastings for the day

Museum was interesting and the lady museum guide amusing. The young man leading the tour was highly knowledgeable but we were puzzled at being led around various churches/temples and lectured about religious history. This seemed to be a filler between museum and lunch. In short, tour could have started 30 min later. Lunch was good but may have been better at a chateau in the open air. Eventual wine tasting too much geared to sales with very little tasting!

Wine museum interesting. Lunch excellent - would have liked an extra half an hour to enjoy the wonderful cheeses on offer. Coach tour in the afternoon was also good. Only bit I would change would be the walking tour through Bordeaux in the morning - this could have been shortened/speeded up. Overall a worth while day.
