Water is no barrier for a duck, why should it be for you? A Boston Duck Tour is a wonderful way to get a great look at Boston on land and water. See all the major landmarks and hear the history of the city as you tour Boston in a renovated World War II amphibious vehicle.
You've never toured Boston in anything that comes close to Boston Duck Tour! The fun begins as soon as you board your "DUCK", an authentic, renovated World War II amphibious landing vehicle. First, you'll be greeted by one of their legendary tour ConDUCKtors, who'll be narrating your tour. Then you're off on a journey like you've never had before.
You'll cruise by all the places that make Boston the birthplace of freedom and a city of firsts, from the golden-domed State House to Bunker Hill and the Fleet Center, Boston Common and Copley Square to the Big Dig, Government Center to fashionable Newbury Street, Quincy Market to the Prudential Tower, and more. And, as the best of Boston unfolds before your eyes, your ConDUCKtor will be giving you lots of little known facts and interesting insights about our unique and wonderful city.
And just when you think you've seen it all, there's more. It's time for "Splashdown" as your ConDUCKtor splashes your DUCK right into the Charles River for a breathtaking view of the Boston and Cambridge skylines, the kind of view you just won't get anywhere else.
So take the ride of your life. Hop on a Boston Duck Tour!
Important Note: All foreign language tours depart from Prudential Center
Great way to see Boston for out of towners. I've always wanted to do a Duck tour, and it was worth it. Learned some good history, saw sights from the water, and enjoyed the Duck jokes. Definitely worth the 1 1/2 hours. Reccommend to everyone, especially families with kids.

Enjoyed the tour. It was difficult to locate the National Museum of Science where the duck tour departs from. The tour guide was interesting and very knowledgable but a bit hyper! _br/_ I was on the duck tour in London and I found that tour of a higher standard and definately more informative. _br/_ It was a beautiful day which added to the enjoyment. I would recommend.

As a Boston native, I have done the Duck Tours multiple times whenever I have guests from out of town. This time our friends from Ohio came to explore the city and LOVED the history lesson they learned from our guide. ADDED BONUS: I FINALLY GOT TO DRIVE A DUCK BOAT! lifelongdream

Another great tour and I got to drive the Duck when it was in the water!

The day we took the tour our. Capt was Mike and our guide was Louie. They were both great. Louie gave us some real facts about the Boston area and to be honest went out of his Wray to point out Boston current and previous history. I plan to to tell others about this tour and look for it if it is in other cities.

We took a Duck Tour in Seattle and really loved it -- this one was OK. If you have never been on a duck tour, go for it. It is cool to go from the road to the water.

Our tour leader shared almost no historical details or information as we toured through Boston's landmarks. Spent his time at the microphone making off-color jokes about his family and sharing his political views. Completely disappointed and not at all what we expected.

Great tour all around. It was the day of the protest in the Public Gardens so we were re-routed a bit , but it truly didn't interfere with_br/_ any of the fun we had with our driver and guide.

Great tour and tour guide. I took some great pictures and got to know Boston a little better.

Fun tour. Surprised at how long the water portion was -- very fun. I was disappointed that as we passed Beacon Hill on Beacon Street, our guide said ZILCH about Beacon Hill. If you were new to Boston and based your follow-on activities on this tour, you wouldn't have known to visit Beacon Hill which is gorgeous and steeped in history.

Highly recommended! very well done! We did this tour the first day we were in Boston. It provides a great overview of the city and of the history of Boston. Gave us all a better sense of where we wanted to visit days afterward.

The tour is entertaining and informative. I would improve: 1/ Instructions on exactly where to meet - there is a big Duck Tour counter at different place in Prudential, and it had a line. We waited there so long that we almost missed the tour that was actually 2 blocks away! 2/ The voucher says you have to trade it for a ticket somewhere - but you dont. 3/ Price - the price at the booth is about 5 less per person. I guess the premium is to guarantee a spot on a tour time as they might be sold out? 4/Trivia is good but it'd be great to have more trivia about Boston history! Our guide talked about random things Florida, a country where a passenger was from, his own travels.

We had a fantastic time on the Boston Duck Tour, which left from the Museum of Science. It was a good location to start the tour due to the availability of parking and access to the Museum Shop and Cafe. The shop and cafe helped us to stay cool and kill time while waiting for the tour to begin. And our ConDucktour was fantastic. He went by the name Super Size. He had the history and local anecdotes down cold and he had a great, quirky sense of humor. And the land driver Bobby was a good sport too. There were seven of us of varying ages 44 and up and we all had alot of fun.

The process was very confusing. We had a ticket for a specific day, and when we showed up at the pick up place, there were no tours left. We were told what we had was a voucher. The email we got said it was ticket for our day. After reading many paragraphs down, we saw that we had to call to get a specific time with our voucher. We were leaving that evening, so we could no take the tour. There has to be a better way to have people sign up for these tours. It was very frustrating.

Empty Bucket, our tour guide was very entertaining and knowledgeable. We saw the sights on land and then cruised into the harbor for a special viewpoint. I enjoyed how our guide let the children drive while we were water-cruising and remembered where each group was from.

This is the 4th Boston Duck Boat tour I have taken and when I am back in Boston I will probably take it again. So much fun in the water and on the road. The tour now has to have both a driver and tour guide for safety. So much knowledge. Sorry forgot the tour guide's name, not that you can choose. He wore a Jaws outfit that day. Anyway, he is very knowledgeable and friendly and funny. He brought props to help drive home his point. Man, I am laughing now 3 days after the tour. Such great trivia to learn about Boston. Always something new. Don't miss this.

We took this tour the weekend of the Boston marathon and there were some street closings so i am assuming that is why on the land portion before we got to the water, we got very little information on what we were passing. We did here the life story of Oliver, a cute kid in the front, but I would have liked to learn a little more about Boston. During and after the water portion we did get some interesting information. My husband was on a different Duck, and he said on his tour, that was not the case. He had a lot of information the entire trip.

My daughter and I had a great time on the Boston Duck Tour! Our tour guide was Bambino and he knew SOOOOOO much about Boston. He grew up there and shared how things used to be and how they are now during the tour. At the end, when the truck becomes a duck and goes into the Charles River, you get to see Boston in a whole different way. On cold days, the trucks are heated so you don't need to worry about getting cold.

I took my 9-year-old grandson on a rainy day and we had a ball. The driver/guide was knowledgeable and had a sense of humor -- and he let Jack drive the boat for a little while, which was a sure hit. Go, and enjoy!
