Amazing tour We picked it up at the Marriott Hotel and were the only people on board until we got to stop 1 Driver was really informative with his wee snippets recommending various bars etc Used over 2 days and all drivers were great fun

I was on the trip of being frozen cold outside -11c and I was almost the only tourist on the trolley. The tour guide was good but the day was not the best one to visit Chicago.

The trolley drivers are full of insights and friendly smiles. A really good way to see Boston in all its glory! Only one small problem which put a sour note on my trip - at the end of my second day I was walking up to stop 15 at 3:55pm you are told to be at the last stop no later than 4:00pm to get picked up and in the snow and rain I saw the trolley drive up I was still 150m away and saw the trolley stop for 30 seconds before departing at 3:56pm. I was then left to walk onwards in the rain, feeling a little sour that the driver didn't wait. To add insult to injury as the driver rounded the corner and I plodded on for a few minutes the bell tower rang, signalling 4:00pm. If the driver actually waited until the promulgated time and if it was a sunny beautiful day I wouldn't have minded this would definitely get 5 stars without a doubt.

Loved the trolley tour! Great staff and it hit all the major spots. Can it include a stop at TD Garden too? Just a thought! We were a bit disappointed that it did not include the harbor cruise : oh well!

Fantastic way to see hightlights of Boston as we were only there for short time but it enabled us to see so much more than by walking and the driver was hilarious! Excellent, highly recommend!

We enjoyed our tour of Boston. It helped that weather was beautiful, nice fall day. The tour guides were all knowledgeable, and humorous. Be aware that drivers are talking while driving in awful traffic in Boston as well as construction going on. Sometimes it was hard to hear our tour guides with the flaps pulled up and the outside noises. I almost wish that the Window flaps were closed so we weren't as distracted by all the loud noise.

This is a great way to get around the city especially if you don't have a mode of transport, we had used this before in 2013 and found it really good, the drivers are friendly and informative. The Harbour cruise was an added bonus and we had never been out on Boston Harbour before, we really enjoyed our time out there. Highly recommend.

We booked this tour as we had a 9 hour layover in Boston before flying to London. We arrived in Boston around 1pm and by the time we got off the plane, took a water taxi to Boston Harbor, had lunch and found the tour bus pickup it was already close to 3. I say this only to point out that the bus has to navigate the same streets that everyone else in Boston uses and at this time of day everyone in Boston was using them or so it seemed because we sat stopped several times for many minutes. We only wanted to get off the bus once duing the tour and that was to see Old Ironsides, the famous ship anchored in the old part of Boston Harbor. Just our luck it was closed for maintenance. That would have been nice to know in advance. But we were able to visit the U.S.S. Cassin Young, a destroyer from the 50's anchored near Old Ironsides. It was free to walk in and around the deck and the interior rooms on the main deck. We got back on the bus and spent the next hour and a half seeing Boston with our very good guide. Traffic was so bad that she cut the tour short after polling the riders as to what they wanted to see and wanting to get some of us back to the original pick up spot in time for our water taxi pick up back to the airport. It was a good first look at Boston and gave us reason to come back to spend several days seeing other famous sites.

The shuttle from the port ran only every 45 minutes. We had to wait ,which put us behind the entire day, We were not able to see as much as we would have liked and did not do the Harbor cruise because we were afraid we would be late getting back to the ship. Perhaps they need to send more shuttles to the ship in the A.M.

The hop on hop off did not disappoint. We have used the hop on hop off in New York, Barcelona, San Francisco, San Diego, Rome, Quebec City and many more. We have never been unhappy with the service, availability and sightseeing options. I would once again highly recommend this option to see the sights and then decide where to get off and on the bus for optimal touring. The only thing I would comment on is with regard to the Harbour Cruise. I don't know if there is any option to pre-book the tour or not, but we had a very unusually warm day where it was around 80 degrees. We waited in line for over 45 minutes and were at the front of the line. Unfortunately, the line up was so long there were many who did not get on the cruise we did, and had to wait yet another lengthy duration. That is my only suggestion. We will continue to use the services of the Viator hop on hop off tours!

Plenty of trollies to hop on - we found the earlier drivers were more entertaining. Found the map useful - found the trollies value for money, although wish they went to Harvard. Unfortunately we had to do the harbour cruise on a foggy day - the young woman who gave the commentary still stuck to the script, despite us not being able to see everything.

Brett was our driver and made our journey so humorous that we decided to stay on board with him all the way round. Very good for pin pointing areas worth a second visit and fir stopping off to get lunch and rejoining later. We took the ferry in beautiful sunny weather at the end of the day.

Great way to get around town. Mornings are the best since bus wasnt as crowded. Late afternoon they are crowded and people had to wait for the next bus at several stops.

We took the train from Mystic, Ct to Boston. We got off the train and asked the sight seeing man about where to go and when he found out we already had our tickets from online he was rude. Je said the bus was around the corner. We never found one. We ending up taking a cap to Fenway park because we knew it was one of the stops. I then walked up and asked a bus that said hop on and off trolley where I go and he said around corner. Here we found out after an entire day of just going in circles that that WAS the bus we should been on. We saw nothing in Boston and spent the day walking in circles and paid 2 cab fares even though we had prepaid for 4 tickets. VERY VERY disappointed. I have used this tour group in Europe and it was wonderful.

Initially I was concerned as there was a big queue but they added extra trolleys so it moved relatively fast. _br/_ Good route and great commentary,,,,considerate organisation ie they didn't fill up the trolley completely at the first stop, thus allowing hop on space for subsequent stops. Very sensible!

Tour was amazing. On a day with the Columbus Day parade causing traffic tie ups, our driver Hambone took us all over the city while detouring and constantly amused us and gave us great stories of Boston history.

There is insufficient trolleys that day and we have to wait for nearly an hour to get on. The trip was supposed to take 1.5 hrs , it took about 2.5 hours. It practically took all our time as we got off Queen Mary 2 and we only have 5 hrs to be on port. It was a disappointing ride . It was suppose to be a hop on hop off but because it was so slow, we could not get down as we were afraid we could not get back on as the lack of trolleys in the route.

Unfortunately, there were far too many tickets sold for the day we travelled. We were afraid to hop off and give up our seats on the trolley as people had been waiting 1 hour to get on. We passed many stops with large groups of people. The company should have been better prepared with extra trolleys and drivers. As the ticket is good for 1 day or 2 is an option, we decided to stay on until the crowds dewindled later in the day before we hopped off and on. The drivers are wonderful! We had 'Ally Kat, Irish, Bunker and New York'. They were funny and gave a great comentary but found the 'facts' changed from driver to driver. All in all, a great experience if you had lots of time. A great way to see a lovely city. I would definity do it again.

Everything was good except for stops 8 through 11. Those were stops for shoppers. They are also in a heavy traffic area which makes the trip much longer than it should be.

The Tour guides were so informative and funny! We had Papa and Michaelangelo! Learned so much about the important sights. Would definitely take the tour again and again if we have the opportunity. Stops very well designated and on time. We did not have a lot of time to visit each stop, but the ones we chose were excellent.

Great way to see Boston. Give yourself all day, especially during winter months. One tour operator was exceptional. The others, a little difficult to understand. The windows are plastic roll down so photos are not so good during winter months. Great ability to hop on and off with around 20 stops.
