Australia Zoo by Croc Express Coach

Brisbane, Australia

Spend the day at Australia Zoo, Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin's living legacy. With return hotel transfers from Brisbane or the Gold Coast, you'll travel on the air-conditioned Croc Express coach service and enjoy plenty of time exploring this fabulous wildlife theme park.

Australia Zoo is too good to rush, and you'll have almost 6 hours to spend here. The zoo's many shows and demonstrations include the famous crocodile feeding, snake handling and entry to the Wildlife Hospital. The handlers walk some of the animals through the park, so you have the opportunity for an up-close and personal wildlife encounter.

Step aboard Steve’s Safari Shuttle and explore all that Australia Zoo has to offer including the newest exhibit – Africa! Experience the wide open plains of the African Savannah and see exotic animals such as giraffe, rhino and zebra interacting together. See snakes, free-flight birds and crocs in the world-famous Crocoseum show and get your adrenalin pumping as you see a crocodile launch a strike from the waters edge.

En route to the zoo you'll pass the majestic Glass House Mountains, bordered by pineapple farms and pine forests as you travel along the Steve Irwin Way scenic route to Australia Zoo.

Excellent tour, although weeks later it is not as easy to recall and review. we loved the noon show with the trained birds and the crooks - very well done. Was very hot and humid the day we were there but did get a chance to pet Koalas, feed the Kangaroos, and see the tired Tasmanian Devil. Overall, a not to miss tour if you are in the Brisbane area.

Sadly it monsooned down for 2 hours when we first got there all the way through the Croc experience in the massive main stadium. This is a great Zoo with the usual walk through areas of Australian wildlife that you would expect. We stayed in Surfers Paradise which unfortunately made for an over 2 hour trip there and back. Maybe not quite the same Zoo since the great man has departed but still worth a visit.

The bus pick up and exchange at bus terminal was a bit confusing and the bus ride to Zoo takes just over an hour but Chris the driver shared a lot of good information with us. The bus itself needed some repairs as the diesel smell was quite strong. We has 6 hours at the zoo to see the shows and animals. Loved the koala bears . It was raining all day so it wasn't busy. The zoo is worth going to.

The only zoo I have ever visited that rates right up there with Disney, but perhaps a step better, depends on your philosophy. There is a lot more interaction with the animals from their keepers, something Stever Irwin believed in. Co-existence between animals and humans, we were impressed.

Russell, our driver, was a great source of information about Australia Zoo and we benefitted from his practical advice.

alot of the reason for the 5 stars is the excellent driver we had on the way to the zoo. it was the start of a long weekend and as well as a n accident or road works on the Bruce highway the traffic was horrendous. we were think that most of our allocated time at the zoo would be spent sitting in traffic. thanks to the excellent local knowledge of our driver he was able to re-route us and we were only about 30mins late getting there. this still gave us plenty of time at the zoo to enjoy our day. Zoo is huge so lots of walking unless you use the free shuttle. we choose to walk as sometimes the time you take waiting for the shuttle you can walk there quicker. It was a Very Hot day so drink lots of water and there are water fountains located all around the zoo. The croc show and tiger display was well worth watching. Extrermely clean and tidy grounds and lots to look at. this was our 2nd visit but 1st since the new areas have opened. an enjoyable day

The ride to the zoo was quick and comfortable, although the pick up time from my hotel was a bit delayed because of a traffic accident that morning. Nonetheless, we got out of the transit center on time and the bus driver knowledgeably highlighted the zoo's attractions and gave us tips for navigating our time there on the ride up to Beerwah. Once we got there, we had 5 hours to explore the zoo and see everything there is to see. I skipped the Africa section -- my primary aim was to see all of the Australian animals we don't have in the US -- but 5 hours was more than enough time to take in a few shows, hold a koala, feed the kangaroos, and see all the other sections at a leisurely pace. Highly recommend! Great value, since price includes transportation as well as zoo admission.

Great day, picked up from my hotel and apart from the long trip to get there from the Gold Coast it was an absolutely fantastic day, especially Tiger Island.

The trip was lots of fun. We had some car issues which put us a little behind schedule and gave us less time at the zoo. I think we could have stayed there twice as long because the zoo is so big. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and we had a great time!

We really enjoyed our trip to Australia Zoo. The bus driver was particularly friendly and helpful and went out of his way to accommodate everyone. Whilst at the zoo we especially enjoyed the crocodile show and walking amongst the kangaroos to feed them. Definitely a lovely day out and worth the trip.

This was one of the highlights of our trip to Brisbane. The drive from Brisbane to the zoo was about an hour but it was a nice chance to see the countryside. And it certainly was well worth us not renting a car and driving ourselves. We found every single employee they're extremely helpful. Go to the website for the Australia zoo prior to your visit It is worth the time invested. I booked several animal encounters before our trip and was glad I did because Nother couple on our tour tried to book that day and everything for the most part was full. The cheetah in counter was an absolutely amazing experience and well worth the money. Also did the giraffe and zebra combo encounter was delightful as well a wonderful day at the zoo. Even for adults!

Pretty cool to arrive at Australia Zoo on the Croc Express!Nice comfortable coach and a nice touch that they play Steve Irwin videos on the screen whilst you travel.I and #39;m so glad that I went to see the zoo that I saw on tv so many times and the zoo itself is like a shrine to Steve which is touching.

The guide on the croc express was an asset to the day, he provided valuable insight into how to approach the day at the zoo which we followed and it worked brilliantly and background information into the zoo itself and some history of the indigenous people in the area. The zoo itself was superb, lots of interaction with the animals and friendly staff made it a really great day out.

This was a really fantastic experience for both my granddaughter and myself. We were picked up at the door of our hotel by a really wonderful travel guide who was really polite and helpful and gave us a really informative tour on the way there. The bus was really clean and watching the Steve Irwin dvd on the way back really ended the tour in a great way.

Easy way to get to the zoo. The guide was entertaining and informative on the drive, and was clear about the return meeting time. We were able to see most of the zoo, see a show, and do an animal encounter, but this was without time for feeding the kangaroos we had done it elsewhere and decided to use our time here seeing other animals. It's a GREAT zoo, and I recommend this tour to anyone who is unable to drive themselves there to see it.

A must see if you are in the Brisbane area. It takes a while to get to the zoo but pick-up is door to door. Check out when the shows are on to make the most of your day and use the free 'train' to get around the place. There were lots of animals to see but of course they like to take cover when it is hot so can be hard to see. Unfortunately there were no elephants when we visited and the tigers had been sent away while a new enclosure was being built.

I was nervous about booking this trip as I was worried I would not have enough time in the zoo, however I am very glad we did! We were picked up promptly and taken to the bus station where we boarded the bus to the zoo. We went on Easter Monday and was told to expect the zoo to be very busy however Australians standards for 'busy' is nothing like the British! Having been to Alton Towers Disney etc I didn't think the part was busy at all! We had plenty of time to potter around. Make sure you get some kangaroo food to feed the kangaroos. We also paid 25 each to have our picture taken with a koala in the photo zone :. if the tiger show is on when you visit do check this out as it is fab! We had a brilliant day and loved our visit

One of the highlights of our holiday! We were picked up at our hotel and brought to the coach station to meet others going on the trip. It was a brilliant day, the Zoo we found to be really well laid out and easy to find our way around. There was a little shuttle bus which we used at the end to bring us back to near the entrance. The 12 oclock show was amazing with the bird display and the Crocodile Show. It was such a relaxing and informative day with so much to see and do. Loved the Koalas the best! and the Crocs! Only problem was, the speakers system in the coach was not working and so our driver could not give us any information during our way there about the area etc.. we would have loved to have heard that and found out more.

It might help on your website if you state that the bus leaves at 3.30pm. We didn't know this and my daughter had booked a tiger photo, so we were late and held up the bus, driver was grumpy at us._br/_ Also driver Bernard please don't make comments about a stutter when my daughter who suffers from this very disability is sitting on your bus.

An excellent full day at the zoo. Well organised pickup and return to hotel. There was plenty of time at the zoo to attend the main show and walk the entire grounds. This would have to be the best maintained zoo I have ever seen. There was always a staff member in sight if you had any questions and the facilities were excellent. The main show is a must see so get there in time.

Loved Australia Zoo and so glad we went. Perfect amount of time. Book your adventure as soon as you walk in because they fill up quickly. We posed with a giraffe and pet a cheetah and it was great! My daughter and I even rode the camels which was probably the best value of anything. Loved the tour!

The date I originally booked was not a guaranteed departure date and was subsequently cancelled. Fortunately there was another day I was able to take the tour. The coach seemed a little run down but did the job. The driver was very knowledgeable about the park and his suggested route through the park was very helpful along with other comments.
