Brisbane Story Bridge Day and Night Climbs

Rise to the challenge and climb Brisbane's iconic Story Bridge! You'll enjoy 360-degree panoramic views from the summit, taking in Moreton Bay, the Glass House Mountains, Mt Coot-tha, Lamington National Park and the Brisbane River. Your climb leader will provide a safety briefing and audio commentary to your group sharing interesting facts about Brisbane's surrounds and the Story Bridge on your 2-hour climb.
Arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled departure so your climb leader can explain the route and the all-important safety procedures. Once you are attached to the static line, your climb experience begins!
The climbs depart every 20 minutes from base headquarters at Kangaroo Point. The incline is at its greatest as you make your way to the Summit Top Platform, one of the two high points of the climb, each approximately 262 feet (80 meters) above sea level. It's from here that you will first experience the awe-inspiring 360-degree view of Brisbane, its river and surrounding mountain ranges. From the central platform you'll traverse the width of the bridge, high above six lanes of traffic!

We did the climb in memory of our daughter on the 6th anniversary of her passing. What an amazing way to remember her. The experience was unbelievable and the view was absolutely brilliant. One to add to your bucket list. A must do experience in Brisbane. Simon, our guide, ensured that we had an awesome time climbing the bridge and gave us lots of information about the bridge history and general information about the city.

This is probably one of the more interesting things to do in Brisbane city. The good thing is that the climbs go ahead regardless of weather conditions. It is not really that unpleasant climbing in the rain and the views from the top of the bridge are spectacular nonetheless. Our climb leader was informative and shared a lot of facts about the history of Brisbane and how the bridge was constructed. A great activity to challenge your fear of heights for some great views of the city.

The customer service at the building wasn't very nice, but our tour guide was great! I've also done the Sydney Bridge Climb. This one was just a smaller version of that.

Too long for what there is to see. The guide was all the time looking at her watch waiting for the time to arrive to move to the next station. We spent plenty of time in different places of the bridge waiting to move to the next one. Later on I have been told it is a copy of the Sydney Habour bridge climb by 2 ex-Sidney Bridgeclimb workers. Unfortuntely the bridge is not the same nor the enthusiasment of the crew...

I climbed two bridges in one day the Brisbane Story Bridge in the morning and the Sydney Harbour Bridge in the evening. The Story Bridge Climb was much less crowded than the other, and it had more relaxed atmosphere. Nevertheless, both climbs were awesome!

I would have preferred more historical information. And an opportunity to take our own photos, not on the bridge obviously, but before or after. Our guide was not very professional, but we liked him and he kept us entertained.

Thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Our guide was very professional in explaining our equipment before the climb and then related many interesting facts and stories during our climb. The views were amazing - it gave us a completely different view of beautiful Brisbane.

Fabulous experience all around! I had booked this climb so I could have some special bonding time with my 13 year old son. Needless to say he was not overly excited as I discussed with him what I had planned! This changed somewhat as we were introduced to our guide, changed into our climbing gear and commenced our tour. Our guide provided a great, lighthearted and informative introduction to the history of both the bridge and Brisbane city. Well done!

An easy way to see Brisbane from a bird's eye view. Views of the CBD from there are quite impressive. The tour leader was cheerful, funny and responsive. Everything was provided for the climb. The photographs were good quality and will be a reminder of the tour in years to come. Also, merchandise prices in the shop were quite reasonable.
