Gold Coast, Canal Cruise and Burleigh Heads National Park Day Trip
Brisbane, Australia
Explore the diversity of the Gold Coast on a day trip that includes the sights of Surfers Paradise, a cruise along the canals to see the luxury waterfront homes and journeys into the cool rainforests of the Burleigh Heads National Park. You'll see it all on this full-day trip departing either from Brisbane or the Gold Coast and be amazed by the numerous contrasting experiences you can squeeze into just one day.
Your tour takes you through the central Gold Coast to see Palazzo Versace, Marina Mirage and the beautiful Broadwater Canal. View the spectacular coastline from Coolangatta, looking north to the stunning high-rise architecture of Surfers Paradise. You'll take a one-hour canal cruise on Broadwater Canal past luxurious homes and private boats.
You'll visit Natural Bridge, nestled in the World Heritage listed Burleigh Heads National Park rainforest, with spectacular panoramic views of southern Queensland's hinterland. You'll also take a guided walk through the sub-topical rainforest to Natural Bridge Falls and the beautiful Numinbah Valley.
What a wonderful trip out of Brisbane. The Gold Coast is beautiful. We had time to stroll the beaches and had a wonderful boat cruise down a canal to view the homes and the city from the water.

Everything was good including all the stops in Gold coast, canal cruise etc. Rain forest trip kind of rained out.It was a good day all the way around.

The tour was very enjoyable . The people who run the canal cruise were very informative and it was a very pleasant cruise. The rain forest was very nice to see and our tour driver Dave was amazing . He came with us through the rainforest and explained everything to us . He is a keeper. Great day out

The driver was a little unorganized. I could not hear the driver and he talked constantly. We had to drop 2 sets of other people at different places. The discription on Viator said morning tea. Lunch on own, but no tea and lunch on boat left a lot to be desired. I enjoyed the rainforest walk and the natural bridge was very nice.

We decided like many people that we needed to see Surfer's Paradise. In retrospect this may have been a mistake. There is nothing wrong with this trip or the company running it! The place itself is very much a seaside resort and when we visited,"the schoolies" were in town so sections of the sea front and some roads were gated off by large metal barriers and there was no desire to stay for long. The cruise along the Broadwater Canal is interesting, particularly if you are into smart houses and house valuations. The stop at Natural Bridge is picturesque and must be very spectacular when there is more water in the streams. On the walk, you need to stay up with the driver whose commentary tended to start before the slower moving participants actually reached him. A perfectly adequate trip but not our favourite.

A pretty good deal overall. Bob, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable of area and local history which made the sightseeing even more fun. We had a great time getting to know Bob and he accommodated most of our photographic needs. I would recommend this tour for anyone that wanted to see and learn more about the area.

Fantastic in comparison with Bryon Bay, Honey Tasting & Tropical Fruit World tour. The driver Mick was awesome, knowledgeable, friendly, sympathetic & talkative.

A well organised tour, comfortable bus, and, best of all, an excellent driver, who has a wealth of knowledge, imparted in a humorous and entertaining manner. Well Done!

Tour content was good. The local tour company was not accommodating and the tour guide needed to share more tour information and less personal experiences.

Really enjoyed the canal cruise and Natural Bridge at Springbrook N.P. It was a nice drive in a rural area, too. Did not like the fact that even though the ad said we would be picked up from local Gold Coast hotels, we had to make our way to a central pickup point, miles away, which added considerably to the price of the tour.

This is a great way to see the Gold Coast if you are pressed for time. However, you don't have time to swim in any of the beaches or hang out. We wasted time by dropping off people along the way in 3 different locations. The rain forest was a sad sight, dead trees and leaves, and crowded. Lunch was awful in a mall food court of all places!

I decided to do the tour because I didn't have enough time to see the east coast. It was really worth doing it because I could see Surfer's Paradise and the Gold Coast. Mt. Tambourine was okay, but could have been better.

If you want a drive to see the buildings and how the rich people live in surfers paradise without the hassle of walking everywhere the drive and cruise was great. The scenery of Mt Tamborine was awesome, as was the shopping at gallery walk if you didn't want to go to the waterfall.
