Experience the incredible beauty of Queensland’s Lamington National Park, a World Heritage-listed site, on this day trip from Brisbane or Gold Coast. The main attraction of the tour is O’Reilly’s Rainforest Retreat, an idyllic, family-owned property in the heart of Lamington National Park, where rainforest activities abound.
On the drive up Mt Tamborine, stop at Gallery Walk, a collection of arts and crafts shops, where you can shop for jewelry, paintings, and ceramics, by local artisans or just stretch your legs.
On arrival at O’Reilly’s Rainforest Retreat, you’ll be enchanted by the lush surroundings and the calls of native birds including the rare Alberts Lyrebird, Bowerbirds, Wedge Tailed Eagles, plus the beautiful King Parrots in their hundreds.
Spend approximately two-and-a-half hours at O’Reilly’s with free time to participate in the rainforest activities like bird-feeding, bush-walking and the ever-popular treetop canopy walk, as well as time to enjoy lunch at the cafe (if option selected).
The treetop canopy walk is a series of nine suspension bridges approximately 45 feet (16 meters) above the ground. As you stroll through the treetops, your guide will accompany you, providing information about the beautiful trees, vines, flowers, birds and wildlife that make up the rainforest.
From Mount Tamborine, you can also see fantastic views of the rainforest and on a clear day the shimmer of the Pacific Ocean. On the journey back down the mountain, you will stop an alpaca farm where you can pet and take photos of the alpacas.Your day trip comes to an end as you are returned to your hotel in either Brisbane or Gold Coast. (Please Note: The alpaca farm is closed on Tuesdays. As an alternative
to visiting the alpaca farm an additional stop will be made at a famous
lookout point for incredible views and plenty of photo opportunities.)

Wonderful and very informative day trip! The views on Tamborine and Lamington lookouts are spectacular our guide is very kind and knowledgeable and showed us wallabies and local birdlife as we saw them. I have several great photos of the lovely robin._br/_ Recommend to nature lovers and photographers, or any other who want to enjoy a relaxing day in the mountains.

Were the only people from Brisbane and had to meet the rest of the tour half way from Gold Coast. This component was well organised and did not waste time. Overall the tour was good with the guide very knowledgeable. Shame that the overseas tourists couldn't understand time instructions.

The meeting place was very easy to find. The group was mixed, with some people staying at O'Reilly's overnight and some of us as daytrippers. The tour guide provided a lot of information about the flora and fauna, and we saw lots of birds. There is some independent time for lunch and additional hiking/bird feeding at O'Reilley's, before gathering at the bus and heading back to the city.

the tour guide who is named chris is very professional. he can introduce very well for the things in rain forest. also he can speak japenese as well. the tree top walk is also awesome. i definitely will recommend this.

This is a long trip out of Brisbane. Once you get off the shuttle bus and away from the highway the day improves. Our guide/driver was excellent and very knowledgeable. I am just sorry I cannot recall his name. Chris, I think. I was glad of the stop at Gallery Walk to get a decent coffee and a cake - I would advise you get food here as the food at the park is not brilliant. We pre booked the optional lunch, which was off a poor standard. Take your own food. I am not a shopper so the short stop was adequate and there is a long drive ahead. The landscape you drive through is stunning, very windy roads and so glad I was not driving. The tree top canopy walk is not to be missed. I learned so much about the history of this country and about the wildlife on this trip. Seeing the bird that collect blue things in its bower was a bonus. On the drive down we saw pretty faced wallabies. All in all an excellent day out.

It was a good tour. Pick up and drop off with no hassles. The tour guide, David, is friendly and very knowledgeable. The only thing to be aware of is for a nine hour tour, you will spend more than half of the time on the road.

Great day trip from Brisbane. It was all very beautiful! I fed the birds, ate a nice lunch, saw some great overlooks, and the Tree Top Canopy was wonderful! I enjoyed the alpaca farm. The tour guide was great! Saw lots of wallabies, too! I recommend this day tour!

Too much time spent on the bus. Not enough time at laming ton, we were rushed around the tree top canopy in order to spend time shopping. Tour needs to be focused on the national park.

Highly recommended. We gad a fantastic guide for the day. Transfers to /from were on time, no hick ups. Views from Tambrine Mountain were fabulous and enjoyed the shopping in the village there. Recommend the Glass Castlr Jenny Chong, Jewellery Maker on Gallery Walk Unit 3 159 Long Road beautiful glass wear especially her jewellery. After that we went to O'Reillys. Walks through the rainforest were easy but adventurous, especially the high path in the tree canopies. Feed the birds after lunch, very popular before heading back. Loved it.

Worth seeing the rain forest but very long bus ride. In total longer than you are in the rain forest. Thought we would see more wild life. Just birds although they were very interesting. Suspension bridge canopy walk was cool but short. Lunch was ok at the cafe but that is the only choice unless you bring you own. Did see several wallabys in the wild on the drive back.

Even though it was a rainy day, we enjoyed the tour through the rainforest. A visit to small town was most interesting. We enjoyed the llama farm and seeing the wallabies along the way. Our tour guide, Dave, was great.

I loved O'Reilly's! The tour was great, and both the bus driver Bob, and the tour guide Chris were excellent. My only regret is not having enough time at O'Reilly's since the trip there and back is quite long. It would probably be great to spend a few days up there to just relax and enjoy the birds and the tree top canopy.

Pickup from hotel was on time. At the Transit Center we had to wait for 30 minutes until the tour started. The guide who was also the driver was competent and explained lively flora and fauna on the way. We stopped shortly at an alpaca farm, of course with a shop. We learned about the different types of rain forests and stopped for wallabies and beautiful landscape._br/_
The Tree Top Canopy Tour was OK, although we saw very few birds and no other animals. Most birds were to be found at the restaurant, where they tried to get a share of the lunch. Drop off at the hotel was in time.
