Cape Leveque 4WD Tour from Broome with Optional Return Flight

Broome, Australia

Take a trip to remote Cape Leveque, on the northernmost tip of the Kimberley region's Dampier Peninsula. Travel across country from Broome by 4WD, and experience a beautiful wilderness region of red cliffs, pristine white sand and turquoise sea, home to whales, turtles and sea birds. Choose the flight option to complete your full-day visit to Cape Leveque with a one-way trip back to Broome by scenic plane, and see extraordinary views over the Kimberley coastline.

Your full-day visit to Cape Leveque begins with an early morning departure from Broome by 4WD. Listen to your guide's fascinating commentary as you travel through the Dampier Peninsula, a remote Aboriginal-owned coastal area of red desert crossed only by dirt tracks.

Stop for morning tea at the Beagle Bay Aboriginal Community, and admire the shimmering pearl-shell altar of the community's Beagle Bay church. Then travel north to the remote One Arm Point Community, the perfect place to view the spectacular Buccaneer Archipelago and witness the huge tidal flows of the Kimberley

On nearby Cape Leveque (locally known as Kooljaman) enjoy a picnic lunch and time to relax on the pristine beaches and spectacular coastline the cape is renowned for. Go for a swim, try some snorkeling, take a walk along the sands or just soak up the sun's warm rays on the beach.

Returning by 4WD, arrive back in Broome at around 6:30pm. Or choose to catch a direct flight back to Broome at around 4pm.

Excellent trip. Guide was wonderful. Helped an orphaned Joey along the way. Pearl farm was really interesting.

Very informative and well organised. Going one way on the bus an adventure but we were very pleased to have booked the flight option home! would thoroughly recommend as a straightforward way to see a bit of the wilderness

The driver thought that the rougher the trip the better the experience. This may satisfy back packers, but not those who value their spine. If he owned the vehicle I think he would handle the vehicle differently. The flight back is excellent.

The driver handled the dirt roads extremely well and provided a refreshing morning tea and a great lunch. Long day but well worth it. The optional flight was fantastic.

Enjoyed this tour immensely. _br/_ Pick up was seamless from my accommodation._br/_ On this tour we went from Broome to the tip of the Dampier Peninsular and return. I did the whole trip in the 4WD bus and enjoyed the scenery from the bus windows, plus the driver commentary._br/_ Along the way we visited two aboriginal communities, Beagle Bay and One Arm Point. Beagle Bay had a beautiful church and was our stop for morning tea. One Arm Point was a beautiful location, where we stopped for lunch and had a tour of the commercial activities the community is engaged in to raise money. _br/_ We also visited Cygnet Bay Pearling farm, where we had a very interesting tour of the facility._br/_ We had the opportunity to swim at beautiful Cape Leveque beach, where there was a fresh water shower for use after your swim and changing facilities._br/_ The bus driver had a wealth of knowledge._br/_ I would recommend this tour, if visiting Broome.

Fantastic tour. We enjoyed a fabulous day with our Guide, Ross, from Kimberley Wild. From the red earth road, to the incredible coast line. Ross was able to provide historic and interesting commentary about the area. The tour was catered, and lunch option very good. Great value!

Great tour guide with information along the way. Really enjoyed a few of the stops and the time we were allowed to take pictures of all the beautiful things happening! Definitely take the flight back to Broome. After being in the 4x4 in the morning you will not want to ride the bumpy road again! AND you will get to see everything you missed on the ground - from the air! You also get some more time (about 1.5 hours longer) to hang around beautiful Cape Leveque than the people who drove back.

Organisationally, this tour as just fine and everything ran very smoothly. Our driver/guide was very well-informed and helpful, and we enjoyed the morning tea and lunch we were given. We were most interested in the church at Beagle Bay (that was the main reason for us going on this tour) and it was interesting to contrast it with the one at Lombadina. We found out a lot more about the missions at Beagle Bay and Lombadina when we visited the Old Nunnery in Broome later. Cape Leveque itself is quite scenic, so we enjoyed that part of it. We weren't so interested in the fish farm or hatchery or whatever it was, but, then again, others might have been. All in all it was a well-run tour, and a good opportunity to get out into part of the Kimberley environment.

A knowledgeable guide provided good commentary as we travelled and at each stopping point. Cape Leveque is a beautiful spot which is not easily described using words. The lunch was very nice and it was quickly set out for us allowing good time for a swim. The "Kimberley massage" provided by the road surface did't detract from the trip although it did add to the length of the day.

Cape Le Veveque is gorgeous. For the drive it would be nice to spend a couple of days up there instead of just the day tour. We did do the Optional return flight which is spectacular.

Our tour guide, Leisa, was very friendly and took great care of her passengers and very respectful of the areas she took us to. Our flight back to Broome with Jayden, our pilot, was the highlight of our day. The owners of the company - Leopold - were wonderful and took us back to our hotel when were landed. We would happily recommend flying back to Broome.
