Paris of the East” is one of the most famous sentences used when describing Budapest at night. The magnificent buildings and sights all glowing and illuminated at night just give this city a totally different feeling than what you’ll experience during the day. Our Night Stroll is designed to take you along a path where you see the best parts of the city by night for some of the most terrific photo ops.
You’ll not only learn about these grandiose sights but hear the stories and the history surrounding them with legends from the ancient past to up until very recent history. Everything will be explained during our relaxed and pleasant stroll in the illuminated city. At the end of the tour we cap off the evening with a one hour boat cruise ticket on the Danube with a free drink of choice from the drink list!
Our walking tours are small personal groups and generally do not have more than 15 participants, making them interactive and personal and giving you plenty of chances to ask questions and get to know your guide plus hit them up for local tips of where to go and what else to do.
The river cruise is one of the most stunning scenes of a city that you can experience. The narration on the boat could have been better synched, but overall it was worth the money!

Christie was a wonderful tour guide and host of her city. She listened to what I'd already seen and what my interests were to tailor the experience to what would be most captivating to me. She was clearly knowledgeable about the sites and stories behind them as well as tips for what to do/see on my own. Everything was made easy for the boat cruise on the Danube which offered audio tours in many languages. Christie's warmth and professionalism made me feel happy with my choice to use this company. It's well worth the price for this tour.

Great guide on this tour, a language student who lived in the city. She gave us really great information and helped us understand the meanings of many monuments including communist, WWII and Cold War symbolism. I'm making it sound boring but it was really interesting. She was awesome and their office is clean, welcoming, has chairs, drinks and clean bathrooms. I would have loved to have her with me everyday I was there.

Budapest at night is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. The Parliament Building all lit up is gorgeous. Cruising the river and having the guide explain about the buildings and bridges is a great way to experience the city.

A lot of fast paced walking. I am athletic but thought it would be more of a stroll, so didn't dress appropriately. Wear gym clothes and tennies. Sad history but loved learning about it. Was a long line for the boat which was covered and VERY crowded, so opted to just go back to the hotel.

The places of visit on walking tour is not specified.I was a solo traveller.Wasnt aware that at the end of tour I was dropped off at river cruise and had to make my own way back to hotel at 22.30 from where the cruise ends.

We had taken the Budapest history walking tour earlier in the day so much of the information and sights were similar. It was, however, impressive to see the historical sights all lit up at night and we enjoyed the boat ride which gave us the most incredible photos of the sights along the river. There was also a wonderfully narrated video on the boat which had great information about the landmarks. Being on the Danube at night in this magnificent city is magical!

The walking tour is informative and the Parliament is particularly breathtaking. You will need to book other tours if you want to go in any of the buildings since it is just a two hour walk and lets you see so much. Then you board a ship for an unforgettable cruise on the Danube with amazing palaces, churches, cliffs, seemingly hundreds of impressive things to see. I very highly recommend this tour.

The first night we arrived in Budapest, we had booked the night walking tour with the river cruise. Our guide was George and he was fantastic! His energy level was contagious, he encouraged questions both of him and those he asked of the group, and he gave us a great overview of the city. We saw many of the main historical sites, which were extraordinarily beautiful through twilight and as evening descended onto Budapest. It really helped us determine where we wanted to revisit later in our trip. We were definitely sad to leave him when we boarded the Danube cruise, but he encouraged us to stop by the shop if we had any questions about what to see later in our trip. The Danube cruise was beautiful, but it was a little long in my opinion and the video on the boat wasn't nearly as entertaining as George. I even found it a little distracting with so many of the beautiful sites right outside the window. Overall, the night walking tour is a great overview of the city and the cruise is a great way to rest your feet after a long day of walking. Highly recommend.

Great tour.. Our guide Zsolt is so well informed.. He knows the history and perhaps everything else about the city and the country.. The tour was very nice and comfortably paced and it showed us practically everything on the Pest side.. The river cruise is NOT TO BE MISSED.. If you are in Budapest for one evening, go for the cruise and leave everything else.. It is the highlight.. Absolutely stunning..

I believe a walking city tour is a great way to start my time in any new location, as it helps to understand the city, culture, layout, etc. This tour was very informative and enjoyable. Well worth doing. Budapest is stunning at night. The walking portion of the tour takes in a number of headline sights and our guide Adam was both passionate and knowledgeable about the city. The guide leaves the tour at the river cruise and there is an automated guide available thereafter. Remember to take something warm - it's cold even in summer after 9pm!

Excellent tour. 2 hours walking seemed daunting but it went by very quickly. Laszlo was our guide and he paced the tour to participants fitness level or lack there of. He was very knowledge and nice. Highly recommend the tour. Boat cruise on the Danube a must at night.

Peter, our very knowledgable and personable guide from Discover Budapest led us on a night walking tour of Budapest. Our group was very small, 4 of us, so questions and insight could be easily shared. We really felt like a local was showing us around this beautiful city. Eventually we made our way to the Danube River where we boarded the Legenda river cruise. Seeing the buildings, particularly the Parliament Building, lit up is unforgettable.
