Highly recommended! We learnt a lot about Budapest and the history of Hungary as well as how to get around. Even though it was a rainy day the guide made the best of it. She walked at a very good, comfortable pace.

Wonderful tour. We did this on our first day in Budapest. The tour gives a great overview of the city and is personalized as it is a small group. The tour is very comprehensive and you are able to see all the unique areas of the city including taking the train. Considering the amount that we were able to see on the tour, it was still at a relaxed pace. It was evident that our guide had pride in his country and enjoyed his job.

Our guide Balint was excellent, good knowledge, witty and great at explaining Hungary's history. Meeting point not easy to find due_br/_ to building work on the Opera House. Balint encouraged questions and interaction with all members of our small group._br/_ Only one couple found the pace going up hills a bit harder for them._br/_ We've used Viator walking guides in 4 cities now and wouldn't hesitate from using them again._br/_ Special thanks to Balint

Our experience of this was great. Our 25 year old guide was a mine of information. We wore ponchos as we had 4 1/2 hours of snow and rain but it did not dull the experience. Do this at the start of your holiday as it will come in useful when travelling yourselves to all the areas. We could ask our guide about any information we needed and he knew the answer. Very enjoyable and well worth the money.

This was an amazing tour I would highly recommend, in fact I have to friends who are visiting Budapest in March. I think our guides name was George and he was very engaging and knowledgeable and helped us make the most of our relatively short stay in this amazing city. Do the walking tour first as you arrive in Budapest and then you have a good idea of where you need to return to or other places that the guide recommends.

Traveling with a friend we found this tour through Viator Company Name: Absolute Tours and it was definitely our favorite part of our weekend. We did the tour on a Sunday at the end of January. There were only 4 people total on the tour. The guide, Bálint was absolutely perfect he spoke great English and mixed in history, current events, and humor into each location we visited. You could feel the passion he has for Hungary. The pace of the tour was perfect a mixture of walking, train riding, and sitting. 3.5 hour walking tour may seem like a lot but it wasnt walking straight the entire time, definitely time to enjoy the sites and stop and listen to Bálint tell you about the history. We stopped at one point at a pastry shop for strudels which were out of this world I went with Bálints recommendation Poppy Seed and Cheese and Cherry superb!.

This tour was a very good introduction for the city especially since this is my first time in Budapest and we have very limited time in the city. We started the day at the tour company office we saw the main sights including the Opera house Heroe's square the chain bridge and the castle district.

Loved Budapest and this walking tour was a great way to see some of its many highlights assisted by an excellent guide. _br/_ The two standouts were the area around Heroes' Square that included a castle, monuments, park and thermal baths. _br/_ The other standout was Fisherman's Bastion on Castle Hill at the other end of Andrassy Avenue. This would have been about an hours walk, but due to time constraints we took the historic underground train which was included in the tour price. _br/_ Fisherman's Bastion has great views over the city that includes Parliament House._br/_ Other interesting things we did on the tour was a visit to St Stephens' Basilica, a walk across the Chain Bridge and some time out at a coffee shop for a drink and some pastries that were also included in the price.

This is a really good tour. You do do a lot of walking but at a steady pace. Our guide was excellent and full of information. Book this tour for the first morning in the city then you can go back and revisit to see inside some of the cities.

The tour was wonderful! Our guide George did a great job teaching us about beautiful Budapest and all its interesting history! It was chilly but we had such a great time that it was worth it ! George even stayed a little longer on our tour just to teach us more interesting facts. Awesome tour!

Great, great experience. George kept us completely engaged the whole time. Had a great time learning so much about the history of Budapest. Enjoyed taking metro twice, sit down in restaurant for great variety of strudels.
