Really enjoyed the experience on the balloon, sunrise, amazing view. Down side was instead giving people the photos taken from their camera on the balloon for free, they charged you if you want to download it from their site. They gave you the balloon paper thing which was nothing special.

Absolutely awesome! I've always wanted to go in a hot air ballon, and this flight was everything I'd hoped for. The sensation of floating over the beautiful landscape in silence was fantastic, it has to be experienced to appreciate it!_br/_ When I was dragging myself out of bed at 3.30am I wondered why the hell I'd booked this, but it is 100 worth it - all the ground crew were so friendly and helpful, and our pilot Bob was fantastic. _br/_ If you are in Cairns, I'd thoroughly recommend this, you won't regret it.

This flight was everything that it was advertised to be. The flying area is beautiful and so was sunrise that morning. We took the one hour flight and it is worth it!!! Even though you may not fly far, the flight changes as you go along. It was in the second half hour that we saw all the kangaroos on the ground. Our pilot was excellent!!! This is just plain fun!!!

Good crews, punctual during pick up._br/_ The ride itself was smooth, I didn't feel any fear for my first ever hot air balloon ride._br/_ The balloon basket where the people stand was too small for the number of people that is put in. They put 4 people in each section, and it's really tight with not much space to move._br/_ I found it hard to enjoy the scenery too, simply because there's not many interesting things if any to see. Sure it was great to see the sky at dawn, there were some foggy areas as well, but apart from those, it's just forests, farms, and flock of birds._br/_ Also 30 minutes is really quite short. Maybe if you go for another ride you might end up seeing something more interesting, maybe or maybe not.

We LOVED IT!!!!! The staff was excellant!!! They tried to get us up before the sunrise but they felt it was too windy, so we watched the other ones leave. Thats ok. I would rather stay up then come down early. We got up after the sunrise. It was still pretty. I recommend this immensely!!! And this company!!!! Its a great adventure!!!!

I booked this as a suprise for my fiancee and was a bit worried about waking him at 4am for the pre-sunrise pick up. We both agreed though that it was a fantastic experience and more than worth it. The whole experience is well organised and the staff are friendly and helpful, which adds to the overall trip. Watching the sun come up whilst 'floating' in the sky is amazing, we were even lucky enough so see wild kangaroos jumping about down below. We woud recommend this trip to everyone!

Amazing tour. Really great team, very efficient pick-up by Alex and the balloon trip itself was incredible, with Shane the pilot giving interesting commentary and pointing out loads of kangaroos and other wildlife. Helping to pack the balloon away afterwards was also great fun. Can't recommend it enough.

It was a great experience, definitely recommend doing it! They pick you up early in the morning (too early?) and take you to the site of the hot air balloon. It's on a farm, so beware of manure. We got to watch them blow up the balloon too. I'm very much afraid of heights, but didn't even notice we were up so high. The only thing I was afraid of was dropping my phone while taking as many photos as I could. There isn't much room to move around in the balloon as they tend to pack it with as many people as possible. We got to see several wild kangaroos. Beware that the flames are HOT and sometimes the pilot has to keep the burner on for a while, so I recommend bringing something to cover your neck or head from the heat of the flames. The 30 minutes goes by fast. Once we were back on the ground, they had us help deflate and pack up the balloon, which was fun. Just be careful where you step, since, as I said before, it's on a farm. With that said, wear appropriate shoes too.

Was collected from our accommodation on time. Transport was well organized and efficient. Information from drivers (Alex and Sean) was useful and clear. We were on the second flight of the day, but still got to see the balloon being inflated. Lots of photo opportunities there and again on our way to our take off point. Transfer from first flight group to second flight group was well planned and executed. Flight itself was wonderful. Jay was our pilot. He was friendly and informative. Landing was very smooth. Pepe was one of the ground crew. All staff were professional and inclusive of the group. Thank you for a wonderful experience. Would fly with this company again.

My family really enjoyed this tour from www.hotair.com.au/cairns booked through Viator and taken on May 10, 2012 . It was well worth the early wake-up call to be at the site before dawn, then watch the balloon being inflated in the dark, before seeing it float up slowly as the sun rose. Unfortunately, we were not part of the first batch so we didn’t get to see the sunrise from the balloon. It was fun to clamber up the gondola and the lift-off was very gentle. We would have wanted our balloon to rise higher, like the first one, but one advantage of flying low was that we could clearly see the kangaroos jumping around in the fields. After landing in the middle of a sugar cane field, our daughters had fun in helping to deflate the balloon while my husband and the other guys pulled at the ropes. It was an exhilarating adventure to cap our Australian trip!

The booking had not reached the Hot Air ballooning company. They were helpful and confirmed our reservation once the main office was opened on Monday, however we had to spend time confirming the booking over two days. If the trip had been at the weekend this would not have been possible as the weekend answer service could not help us. We book with viator to avoid having to make this sort of effort while we are on holdiday. The trip was excellent. Would have appreciated access to some food/snacks.

Amazing hot air balloon ride! The sunset was gorgeous and peaceful as we drifted through the valley. There was a fantastic view of the landscape around Cairns and we spotted some kangaroos below. Really enjoyable and worth the early wake up time!

My husband and I had an amazing time going up in a hot air balloon, the staff were great our pilot Jay was fantastic, we also had a good talk to him about when we lived in South Africa where he comes from. I had a fear of heights but I didn't even think about it while we were flying, it was so quiet and peaceful.

Our bus driver was great at his job and kept us entertained. The flight was excellent, just not long enough! Once we were in the air I didn't want it to stop! I will go for longer next time!
