Step back in time to the days of ancient Egypt on a private tour of the Great Pyramids of Giza and Sphinx, the necropolis of Sakkara and the former capital, Memphis. With your own private Egyptologist guide to lead the way on this private tour, you can determine the amount of time you'd like to spend at each of the sites you'll visit.
The Giza Plateau is only around 30 minutes from Cairo, where your qualified Egyptologist guide will provide a fascinating introduction to each of the three pyramids: Cheops, Khafre and Menakaure. You will have free time to enter one of the pyramids (additional cost), though your guide is not permitted to enter with you, or take a camel ride (additional cost).
After visiting the pyramids, you'll continue across the plateau for a photo opportunity of the three pyramids rising from the sands, with the Cairo skyline in the background. A short drive to the city side of the plateau finds you standing at the feet of the Sphinx, for thousands of years the enigmatic symbol of Egypt. Also in Giza you may visit the Solar Boat Museum (optional), home to the remarkably well preserved funerary boat of Khufu.
Your next stop is Sakkara, home of Egypt's oldest pyramid, built in 2650 B.C. Your guide will provide a brief history of the famous Step Pyramid and you'll have free time to walk around.
Your final stop is Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt. Here you will see artifacts from many of the great rulers of Egypt, including the fallen statue of Ramses II. You will also have the chance to visit a Papyrus Institute to see how the famous artwork is made.
This tour was amazing I would highly recommend it there are so many incredible sights to see included in this! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and helpful, he knew the best spots for photos and took so many great shots for us. We really enjoyed our day.

Starts early and ends early giving you time to rest or do other things. You get to see everything you want to see in the Cairo area. Perhaps adding on the museum would be a nice touch? Both the driver and guide both named Ahmet were excellent and knowledgable.

Fantastic tour. Our guide, Emmy Eman was so lovely, knowledgeable and caring. She ensured we got to see everything we wanted to. Also our driver was protective of us, particularly the kids, ensuring they were safe as we were crossing roads. The Sekkara pyramid was a highlight, particularly going inside, while the camel ride to see the view of the 9 pyramids was fantastic although this was an extra cost. Great day, worth every cent and fantastic experience.

We had an amazing guide tour knowledgeable and fluent in English and our schedule was flexible. We started with Memphis, Sakkara, Giza Pyramids and then Sphinx. The lunch was a Mediterranean meal I was expecting an authentic Egyptian meal. I would highly recommend this tour without the meal.

Tour was cool. Having a guide helped get us into attractions without hassle. We also weren’t approached as much by vendors because we were with someone. I would have liked for our guide to talk more about things we passed on the road or about the culture/history on the way to different sites...

Most of the tour was driving in what seemed to be a continual garbage pit... alongside canals and waterways strewn with massive amounts of litter. Memphis was a nice start - not much going on, but some good statutes and an introduction to ancient Egypt. Sakkara was a step up - in time, and in number of things to see and experience. Going inside the tombs was great!

Highly recommended, Once the tour was booked everything was organised including hotel pickups and drop offs extremely organised. Make sure to bring some money to enter some pyramids, the camel ride around the pyramids which is a must do as well as some money for tipping and souvenirs. This was our first tour while in Egypt and I'm glad we did it. Our guide, Egyptologist Ahmed Kamal was extremely knowledgable, professional, and helpful throughout our entire day. We were shuttled to and from each site in our own private van with minimum delay and most importantly, without the bother of the locals that are notorious to hustle tourists at the major sites. He not only provided Egypt's rich history but also local knowledge and viewpoints on numerous other subjects/topics. My boyfriend and I decided to do the camel ride around the Great Pyramids and it was 20.00 USD EACH or a twenty minute ride. Like everything else in Egypt, be sure to have the Egyptian Pound tor shopping, stops along the way and tips. Another tip is to get hydration tablets from your local sporting good store before leaving. Put a tablet in your bottled water and it helps tremendously to stay energized and hydrated throughout the long day in the desert heat.

This trip was a Dream. Ahmed ElBestawy was amazing, I liked his calm manor , he was gentle and caring, as a solo woman traveler he made feel safe and comfortable .. He is so amazing in his knowledge of history and his love of Mother Egypt is contagious . I loved both days I was with him, his crazy driver was so much fun and I think he must be a race care driver in his free time. He makes you feel safe as he sips around Cairo like a true professional. I will be coming back to Egypt and will want to book both of them again.

Do not miss this tour while visiting. The private tour allows you to move at your own pace and get one on one time to really pick the guides brain. Visiting each of these sites while in Cairo is a must! Our guide was very friendly and was able to answer all questions and well as provide a great historical timeline while we saw each site.

We really loved the sights on this tour. But our tour guide was only mildly into guiding. He was much more interested in selling us other services like tours run by his wife or a dinner at his house. He also barely spoke to us while riding around from site to site so we didn't feel like we learned a lot. A good guide book and an uber would have worked just as well if not better. We paid a lot but didn't get a lot. We felt like he tried to interact with us as little as possible,

Absolutely amazing that we were able to see everything in one day! The driver picked us up in Katameya outside the city center and knew the best routes to get us to every site. I highly recommend doing the private tour because there is so much to see, and it is more enjoyable at your own pace, not waiting on/looking for a group. Our guide was very knowledgable, but not always effective at communicating the information in English. He was great at fielding questions, so I would go in knowing your basic information, or having toured the Egyptian Museum. Lunch was a mixed grill at a restaurant overlooking the pyramids, which was lovely. We also enjoyed the Papyrus Museum, and indulged in buying a papyrus to take home.

Amazing experience. One of the few times the experience actually surpassed my expectations. Guide was incredible. Knew all of the history and let me decide how long to stay at each sight. His English was great and there were no translation issues. Our driver was great as well, given the chaos that is Cairo driving. The one on one tour was well worth it. Picked me up and dropped me off at the hotel with no problems. Happy I was not with a bigger group tour. Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone.

It was ok But only got to see the pyramids for about an hour. Wasted too much time at the paper making market. i was rushed at the pyramids. And when I was dropped off at the hotel my guide counted the tip in front of me and made a point to look disappointed. He was very knowledgable at least.

It looks like this Sinai travel Company does not pay its guides and drivers well. There is pressure on you to make up to your guide and driver with gratuities. This does not make it a pleasant experience at all._br/_ Overall, I would not recommend this tour company. If you are assigned to Sinai travels, ask to be changed.

This was one of the most amazing trips in my life. My tour guide/egyptologist Henry was amazing. I was a woman traveling alone in Egypt and Henry made me feel so safe and taken care of the entire day the driver was also great and respectful. Henry was so knowledgeable and I learned so much. He also made sure I wasn't hustled by the local camel drivers and markets. If you are wanting to see the historical sights of Egypt Henry is the only way to go. He does many other day tours as well and now has his own website now. Also I highly recommend staying at the Mena House hotel. It's right on the pyramid site and is paradise.

Did this tour in early december. The guide was very informative , and kind and it made for a wonderful day trip. He even took me to a bazar at my request to have a customized cartouche made for me because i liked his so much, he waited the entire time and then took me back to my hotel. overall a great trip, only thing i did not like was i was the only person on this tour.
