The Sound and Light Show at the Great Pyramids takes place on the Giza plateau, around 30 minutes from Cairo. The one-hour show begins with the illumination of the Sphinx, who narrates the history of the pyramids and their builders.
Using laser beams and light projections on the walls of the Mummification Temple, desert sands, pyramid walls and the Sphinx itself, a condensed story of Egypt unfolds. The accompanying soundtrack complements the surroundings and the voice of the Sphinx is suitably dramatic and mysterious!
After the show your driver/guide will meet you at the gates of the complex to escort you back to your hotel. With your own private transportation on this tour, you will travel directly between your hotel and the Sound and Light Show without stopping to collect other passengers.

When Ameer transferred me from the airport to my hotel he also confirmed the pick up time for this tour. Everything was exactly as what was confirmed. The tour told a story using pictures on the pyramids. The pictures were amazing and I have amazing pictures. Once again I would highly recommend my guide and the tour company without any hesitation.

We would give it only 2 star......lighting was not that fancy, used very basic tech skills......the show had too much talking, it was basically had a guy talking for 15 - 20 minutes from the loud speakers. no comparison with Disney Land Sound and Light Show at all. _br/_ this Pyramid one was so not worth to watch! you will be disappointed.

All of our Cairo guides provided through Viator have been wonderful. The main advantage of this tour is easy transportation to and from the light show. Our guide also introduced us to some local food for dinner at a place we never would have found otherwise. Once again, Viator guides were a great way to see Cairo!

I heard and read a lot of bad 'SCAM' experience in Egypt and during recent Europe travel viator was really satisfactory choice. But this time it was So Disappointed One to my family and friends who came to Egypt without using viator laughted us a lot.!!_br/_ I booked around 7 tours from viator but the price in logal compare with official website prices of local agencies who guided us was really shocking.. I can not understand the Commission of viator rate!! how it can be happen... Additionally, friends who booked from local hotels and agencies directly had a lot lower prices... I did not get to go as we were really tired that night but it was with the same guide, Mr Amr, who was our guide on another tour. I imagine it would be just as amazing given it and #39;s with the same tour operator!

A really nice view of the Pyramids at night with a nice informative show. Definitively take warm clothing with you during the winter season. Show was practically empty, but due to the sellers as you exit it was great to have our driver and guide at the exit to whisk us away. A fun Cairo/Giza experience.

This light show was very cool. Don't bring food like others we saw, there are stray cats and dogs that will wonder up to you but they are sweet!! The show was nice, it was chilly and we rented blankets.

It was very nice, but if you chose another language different of English the quality of sound is not good and confused because you hear both at the same time. I have selected Spanish because of my family, but we preferred stay with the show in English and we leaved the device to translation. But in general the show was very good!

The show lasted an hour and the history of ancient Egypt was told throughout. This wasn't just lighted pyramids but with images displayed on the pyramids whilst the story unfolded. Excellent night. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Driver was great. He was on time, very helpful, and very careful in the terrible Cairo traffic. The light show was nice and not crowded at all. It discussed the history of Egypt and the Pharaohs.

Pick up on time. Negotiation of traffic, efficient. Performance somewhat dated. There were elements that were romantic- light show at night, cool breezes and night vista of the pyramids and sphinx while one cozies up to one's husband. But the script and music was reminiscent of a 1950's Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studio epic drama.

I booked the Sound and Light Show at Giza with pickup from and return to our hotel. Mohammed arrived promptly at the arranged time, took us right to the entrance gate, told us the best place to be seated and was waiting for us at an arranged point after the show. Both he and the driver were really friendly, prompty and helpful, therefore I wouldn't hesitate to refer people to Viator.

Light show was awesome but having a guide was a waste if money. Show is in English so no need for guide at all (they don't come in with you anyway) If was to go again I would just get a taxi. Pretty poor communication from viator -in fact I never did get a response from viator and ended up ringing the local guide directly. _br/_

Getting around the busy city of Cairo is a pain but this Pyramids Sound and Light Show definitely made it all worth while for my son and I. The lighting of the Great Sphinx of Giza was especially good and took us back in time to appreciate the awe and majesty of this great monolith.

If you are into lectures and would like to take a trip back to school... this is the show for you. "Sound and Light" basically means an old boring voice taking you back through history and lights so you can see it at night. Not very interesting. A lot of people walked out after only 10 minutes.

Unfortunatly for me I didnt see the actual show. I saw the pr showing and didnt realize it was not the actual show. Im going to have to come abck to see it later! :) The pre showing was s amazing i thought it WAS the show haha. A definate must see. Pyramids in color and the history is all wow.

This was simply a pick up and drop off at the Pyramids. We were picked up by Nour and Suleiman on time, our tickets were presented at the gate, and we attended a great show, after which we were met at the exit and taken to the hotel.
