We enjoyed our short 1-1/2 hour tour of Cambridge with one of the students. We saw quite a lot of the campus. There are a lot of small alleys on campus and it would have been difficult to find our way around in an efficient manner. It's a good introduction to Cambridge University life and it's history.

Alex was a very nice young man who certainly knew his stuff. He was studying for his PhD at King’s. He did get a bit star struck when he met Alasdair Campbell who was filming outside St Mary’s.

Lovely informative tour pointing out the main Colleges and walking round the Backs with a Ph.D student. However this tour does not get you into any parts of the Colleges that you could not go into on your own. If you want to go into Trinity,Kings,St.Johns you have to pay - these are not part of the tour.

The tour guides told us her personal experience and the gems that I would not notice a typical Cambridge tour. She was a past Cambridge grad and was also motivated in leading a great tour as well. I felt welcomed during this tour. If you love learning about the local cultures and a book lover, you must go on this tour.

I can't remember my guides name but he was a PhDs student and was from Scotland and had a beard. He was amazing, made it very interesting and had so much knowledge. He answered all the questions that everyone had. My husband has a hearing problem but the guide spoke to clearly it wasn't a problem. Fab tour would do it again as long as we could have him. Many thanks for a lovely day. We went at 1pm on Saturday the 31st September 2017.

Miss Jessica was our absolutely wonderful guide and a Latin teacher! What could be better:_br/_ My daughters asked many questions and she was very kind and patient to answer all Qs, she took us around many college campuses and also told local stories about lives of scientists. We would definitely request her as a guide next time we are in Cambridge:!!

This tour was kept to a small group, allowing flexibility and a very friendly atmosphere. Guides volunteer from the university students. Kieran, a PhD student, proved an excellent host, both knowledgeable and interesting, able to answer most of the party's numerous queries, and provide an entertaining history of the colleges we passed._br/_ The tour started in King's parade, passing the colleges and college buildings to the north, then taking us over the river onto the backs, circling around to Queen's and the mathematical bridge. It also included a foray into Pembroke's. _br/_ I would highly recommend this experience, a wonderful overview of the area.

Our tour guide Eve was excellent and knowlegeable but the tour is not worth 18.5 pounds it is more expensive than most of other walking tours on websites. The tour promoted they will have a 'small-group' tour but we were more than 20 at one point, I counted the number and it was 22. There used to be '12 people limit' written when I booked and it was the only reason I chose it but when I check again today I found it was changed to 20! - but the price is still the same. I would recomend other tours in a reasonable price range.

We really enjoyed our tour of some of the colleges of Cambridge University and our guide Kieran was extremely knowledgeable. We would never have understood the sites that we saw or the history that surrounds them without Kieran.

Although we enjoyed the tour, we were most disappointed that it did not include a visit to King's College chapel as the chapel is the highlight of any visit to Cambridge.

An excellent tour made even more enjoyable by our guide, Katherine. She very knowledgeable about the history of Cambridge and, as a Cambridge student, she had many anecdotes to share about the Cambridge student life that made Tour even more enriching. Katherine has a delightful personality and interacted easily with members our tour.

The tour was conducted too fast and the commentary matched it. We were unable to keep up with the commentary and absorb all the information before we moved on to another place.

Started at 1:00pm, so must took an early lunch, better to be in the morning around 10:00am or so, will be much better. The tour guide is a lady called Jess who is very professional, friendly and knowledgeable, can ask any questions related to Cambridge. A good tour guide.

Excellent. Tour guide Jess knows her historic and modern Cambridge through all eras and at the same time is relaxed and obviously enjoyed the questions and interactive chats and jokes all in the bustling atmosphere of a fine spring day. Very interesting and great fun.

Review by:   Christopher D,    April 2017 Review: 2 star rating: It was OK, but could have been better
Our tour guide was very nice, but her accent was extremely heavy, and it was hard to understand her. She was also not very knowledgeable - we asked her multiple questions along the tour that she could not answer. She gave very brief explanations at each stop, and we spent most of the time walking between stops. This would have been fine for a much lower-priced or free tour, but did not deliver for the price we paid.

Our Italian tour guide Lavinia did a splendid job with our small group of 5 guests and we were the only ones from the UK which made it very interesting. The weather was good and the town not too crowded which must have helped. We had an excellent tour and enjoyed every moment. Would recommend it to others, although more inside college visits would have made it even better.

Our guide, Katherina, from Russia..last year student at Cambrige University and fluent in English, was a very knowledgeable and charming guide. Interesting tour around the colleges aand very capable of answering the group's qestions.

We had a superb walking tour of the Cambridges colleges with Katherine our lovely Russian guide. She was very knowledgable and with her anecdotal stories made the tour great fun, imparting facts about Byron's bear and the different peculiarities of the various colleges. Highly commendable - she even spent over her time with us. We learnt a lot and not in some boring and dry way that many tour guides impose themselves upon their poor visitors. Katherine was very good and we both praised her for her humour and knowledge, she made it so worthwhile. Highly commendable with Katherine.

At the stroke of noon (or the 12 chimes) the sun broke out on a chilly drizzly Sunday. I cannot promise such phenomena on your tour, but our tour was excellent. You will be primarily outside so dress the part! Our guide was a young woman from Russia who was informative and fun.

We really enjoyed our tour! We had a fabulous guide whose name I should have written down because now I can't remember...a lovely young lady who studied in Cambridge and now teaches there she knew a lot and is was fascinating to hear her stories and annecdotes. We were extremely lucky with the weather and had a sunny tour in every way! Highly recommended to make this tour!

Review by:   Muzaffer P,    August 2016 Review: 2 star rating: It was OK, but could have been better
The tour is generally fine but it is overpriced and some of the information given here is not right. First of all, everywhere you visit is free so there is no such thing as Entrance Fees which is stated as included. You see the all the famous colleges Trinity, King, Christ's and libraries listed just from outside. We just visited Darwin and Pembroke colleges which was free to visit anyway. Then, we were at least 20 people not 12. The worst thing was, I was charged 10 pound for my 2 year-old kid who slept in her pushchair during the whole tour. It is a walking tour, everywhere we walked was free and I pushed her pushchair so why did I pay 10 pound for her? There was absolutley nothing for her in the tour so why do you charge her? If you buy online, they charge 10 pounds for children between 0 ! and 12 years old. My suggestion is don't buy tickets for your young children since they don't get anything from the tour and their ticket is not even been checked.
