You can hop-on and off as many times as you like aboard this open-top double-decker bus. There are 11 stops in total, and the entire route takes approximately 50 minutes. The bus departs every 30 - 60 minutes from each stop. Tickets are valid for 24 hours from first use.
This was a great way to see all of Cardiff including the waterfront area which is really beautiful.

Good way to get an overview of Cardiff, with two suggestions, one, get off at Cardiff Bay and walk around, and two, do this tour and get your ticket before going to the Castle rather than vice versa, since the tour offers a Castle discount.

It's a quite nice and informative tour, specially with a live guide. They allow to use the ticket not for 24 hrs from the first use but for whole 2 days! It was very handy when we had 2.5 days to spend in Cardiff with 8 yrs old kid, enabling us to spread out visiting all sightseeing and attraction within 2 days with no rush and no extra cost for local bus._br/_ Only downside is the volume of the recorded guide was difficult to control, being either loud or too quiet. It can be only issue at the some particular buses._br/_ I will recommend to use Hop on, Hop off tour to everyone who is first time in Cardiff!

Loved the hop on hop off bus. We rode the bus all over and used it to get back to our hotel. There were times when there was only ear plugs and a recorded voice and times when there was an actual live person talking about the places. The live person was so much better. We only had a short time in Cardiff and the first day was raining. I know that Cardiff would have been a beautiful place if the weather cooperated. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I can't stress this enough. This was our last place on a 3 week UK and Ireland vacation. I simply love the Welsh! Maybe next time we can spend a little more time!

This was a good tour unfortunately for us the Guide that was to do a live commentary broke his collarbone and no replacement was available. _br/_ Using the recorded commentary was difficult as it was so very loud it hurt my ears on the lowest setting so had to hold one ear piece close to but not in my ear. Thus my 4 vs a 5 rating. _br/_ The information was good but I feel a live commentary would have been better. We were offered a replacement tour the next day which was good but due to our itinerary we were unable to do. _br/_ On a very wet morning it kept us dry and we still saw the sights. A good way to see the layout and decide what you want to see.

The bus should actually stop at the designated stops and wait a few minutes before leaving. Tried to get out at stop, even pressed the stop button, but didn't have time to get up and get off, the bus started moving. Not enough time for people to get off from the upper deck. Crabby tour lady Ann, wouldn't allow people to talk, she was using a microphone but it was muffled and could not hear due to traffic noise, should stick with the automated ear phone tours.

No headphones here - a lovely lady who did a very good commentary - not much open so wasn't worth getting off anywhere. Cardiff Castle is well worth a visit but right in town so wouldn't require the HOHO buses. _br/_
My husband left his reading glasses on board the bus and after contact by our Hotel in London they were forwarded and waiting for us when we returned from our cruise.thankyou

Unfortunately when we did the full tour the spoken commentary was completely inaudible. The person giving the commentary was spoken to about the problem on several occasions but no improvement was made. The tour route was very interesting and worthwhile visually so it was a pity about the commentary failure. We used the hop-on hop-off facility the following day and during several 10 minutes journeys the quality of the commentaries was excellent and we learned so much.

Maybe because it was the season, but the buses run every hour on the hour, so if you miss one, you have to wait an hour.
