Coasteering Adventure on Glamorgan Heritage Coast in Wales

Coasteering is a splishy splashy adrenaline filled half day of traversing, climbing, jumping and swimming in the sea adjacent to the Glamorgan Heritage Coast. You are provided with all the kit and have a beach lifeguard and mountain leader present, ensuring your safety and a great time!

This adventure coasteering session takes place near both Cardiff and Swansea on the Glamorgan Heritage Coast (distance to Cardiff approx. 38.14 km or 23.7mi). This well-developed coasteering outdoor activity sees you in wetsuits traversing at sea level and making full use of the limestone sea cliffs.

At the start of the adventure, you will meet at the car park at Ogmore and kit up - wetsuit, bouyancy, canoe helmet and walking boots and then you are off. You start the session with a small jump - full immersion, then traverse the cliffs, swimming across small inlets, exploring these inlets and rising and falling with the swell.

About halfway along the cliff you have some jumps, 10ft (3m), 18ft (5.5m) and an Elvis (wobbly) leg maker of 25ft (7.6m). On you go, more traversing until the end - a worrying move under a natural bridge with the added fear factor of rising with the swell to the ceiling. Your walk back takes you once again to the jumps for a final session and a chance to have a go at the big one again.

Ogmore-by-Sea is located approx. 30-minute drive away from both Cardiff and Swansea.

The duration of a standard session is three hours. Please note that the start and finish times are dictated by the tides and the local provider can advise on the best start time for your chosen activity date.
