St Lucia Catamaran Day Sail
USD $123.00

St Lucia Catamaran Day Sail

Castries, Saint Lucia

Spend the day sailing aboard a beautiful catamaran along the tropical west coast of St. Lucia. Go ashore to see the island's landmark, the Pitons, soaring over 2,000 feet (600 meters) in the air. Visit the Diamond Botanical Gardens and explore the natural beauty of the waterfalls before heading to the Sulphur Springs inside the Caribbean's only drive-in volcano. You'll also have time to relax and swim in the warm tropical water.

Disembark at the magical town of Soufriere and explore two of the island's most spectacular natural attractions. View the majestic Pitons on your way to the Caribbean's only drive-in volcano, the Sulphur Springs.

Continue onto a plantation estate where you'll enjoy a leisurely walk along trails complete with tropical flora and fauna. A tasty Creole-styled buffet lunch awaits you at a local restaurant.

Rejoin the boat for a sail up along the coastline with a stop for swimming and snorkeling. Sail into beautiful Marigot Bay where the original Dr. Doolittle movie was filmed, before returning to the dock and heading back to your North Island hotel.

Great day out - picked up on time. The crew are are very safety conscious , really friendly and informative._br/_ The trips to various locations all well organised. We did the botanical gardens and volcano trip followed by lunch - which was lovely with good choice of food. The trip back included a swim and snorkelling._br/_ Of course rum punch and Pinton beer readily available on board!!!

Overall this is a great trip but the snorkeling isnt great. You have to swim quite a ways to the rocks near the shore to snorkel and there isnt much there to see.

We had a great time on this trip - the only thing that I would change is to have someone man the bar all the time. We had quite a long time that we could not get beer due to the keg emptying and the woman had to wait until one of they guys was free to change it. The staff is always courteous, friendly and helpful!

The outing was good, not great. Boat was very full, which is to be expected during the Christmas and New Years busy season. They were not very organized we didnt think. Going from the boat docking in Soufrière to the vans/taxis was a bit of a scramble. We were told to follow the group and the van we ended up in was told we had to pay to get in the botanical gardens. After a bit of conversation we were seemingly reluctantly permitted to join the groups from our boat. We had no tickets or any sort of proof of who we were with. So a bit confusing for about 6 of us from the boat. _br/_ Following that we had a really interesting tour of the gardens. Our guide was really good. Bubba Lou I think his name was._br/_ The volcano was also pretty interesting although it wasnt clear why we had to choose between either a mud bath OR a look at the steaming bubbling crater because they were only a short walk from one another and the same cost to enter. Would have liked to see the mud bath too. _br/_ The lunch was good. It was at a cocoa plantation but there wasnt really any information provided about the goings on at the plantation or about the cocoa industry etc. So we we were left just to wonder. _br/_ After the lunch it was back to the boat for the trip north and a quick stop into Marigot Bay. _br/_ Was expecting at least a bit of a sailing experience but the boat powered the entire trip. The masts stayed neatly tucked away, too bad. _br/_ Crew were friendly and they liked to party after the snorkeling was all done!! Also have to say the boat was well maintained.

We had a fantastic time with this tour and highly recommend to anyone who wants to get away from the resort for a great day on the water. Thanks to all the staff who made it an amazing day....another reason to come back to St. Lucia!!

It was not a day sail. Sailing per se never happened, only engine. Land tour was ok. Food at lunch was ok.

Excellent deal for the money. On time pickup and drive to the marina then off we sailed down the west coast. Plenty of food, drinks and music. Much to see including Marigot marina, Castries and port, Pitons and Jade Mountain Resort. Soufriere mud bath, Diamond water falls and snorkeling on the coast were the highlights of the trip. Will definitely re-book when in St Lucia.

This was one of the best tours we've ever had, and the best money spent. The guides were very friendly, and accommodating. This experience had a little bit of everything, awesome rum punch, delicious lunch, great places to visit, and it wrapped up with dancing. If you are in St. Lucia, you must go on this excursion.

Such good value for money and highly recommended! A must-do whilst in St Lucia. The collection was on time from our hotel in a slick car, arrived at the catamaran in plenty of time to grab a spot in the sun... the catamaran seemed quite new and was v clean and well kept. The team were a lot of fun.. esp. our tour guide JUNIOR! thank you for making it such an amazing day.

Well worth the 8.30am start. The bar opens as soon as you're on board! A lovely day and a good way to see the island. The crew were helpful and sociable. My three teenagers and I had a great time, a truly memorable day.

The boat almost left us behind. They gave us 40 minutes to snorkel. On the swim out there were some jelly fish. Turns out everybody else got back in the boat. We went to return after 30 minutes to see the boat leaving. Yelling and waving turned the boat around. No apology or acknowledgment from staf

We had a great time on the boat. It was nice to cruise around St. Lucia and see the beautiful coastline especially the Pitons!. Outside of a medical emergency, which was handled quickly and efficiently, everything was smooth sailing.

Catamaran was excellent, crew was fun and friendly and everything was very timely._br/_ It was a bit confusing knowing exactly what we were doing with all the different groups, but not too much of a hassle. Did feel a little rushed at times and would have liked to have gotten to know a bit more about the plantation we ate at, but over all a good trip.

The mud bath was absolutely exhilarating! I would do this tour again if I had the opportunity to

This was a great trip and worth the money. My daughter and I was only staying in St Lucia for 4 days and we wanted to see as much as we could. This trip began with a relaxing catamaran ride with a great photo op of the Gros Pitons, drinks were included with music jamming. First stop was Botanical Gardens that included the mineral baths and waterfall. You won't get a chance to bathe in the mineral baths but me and my daughter didn't want to anyway. Next was the sulphur springs, this was the best part because you would not get to experience this anywhere else and your skin will thank you for it. Next a yummy lunch is served and then you go back on the catamaran that takes you to an area to snorkel only if you wanted to, not everyone has to snorkel. And finally you get to enjoy more drinks and music on the ride back to port where the bus takes you back to your resort. I was totally impressed with all the people involved during the entire excursion, they were fun and professional. Most importantly my daughter loved it which made the whole trip worth it.

It probably depends on what group of people you get on a given trip, but our group was pretty good for us. It was a modest size, so the boat was not overcrowded. The crew tried to encourage a party atmosphere on the return voyage and some folks joined in and danced. Others sat and enjoyed the view and talking with friends. We met a great couple from Canada and really enjoyed talking with them the entire trip. The botanical gardens in Souffries is well worth seeing. The guide that walked us through the gardens went by the nickname The Human Internet. Kinda corny, but he new endless facts about everyplant in that place and was quite entertaining. We opted to see the volcano rather than do the mud baths. The volcano was interesting, but nothing essential to see. It reminded me a little of Yellowstone, but Yellowstone is far more spectacular. It was cool getting to see the Pitons up close. So, a day on the water, a visit to the botanical gardens and meeting nice people made the trip worthwhile to me. The guides operating the boat were also our chaperones when we stopped and went ashore in Souffries. They were all nice and funny!

The trip was great value for money and a really enjoyable day. Prompt collection from the hotel and taken to the port to get the catamaran. All drinks and snacks provided on the boat on the way to Soufriere, took about 45 minutes or so to get there. It was not overcrowded which was nice so you had room to lay out and sunbathe on the way! Tour guides were friendly and explained everything that we would be doing. We took the tour of the Botanical Gardens and then onto the drive in volcano, where you can choose to take the tour with the guide or go in the mud baths. A tip for anyone taking the mud baths, make sure you take an extra swimming costume etc as the mud is really hard to get off! Then went for a lovely buffet lunch in a restaurant outside of Soufriere - lots of choice and lovely rum punch! Boarded the catamaran to come back about 2.30pm and taken snorkelling on the way home. All in all a really good day!

I was rather disappointed that there were so many people on the boat - pictures suggested 10 - 15 : there were 35 - 40! The boat look nothing like this picture. Reps were good but speedy. Also we weren't advised that we needed to get a voucher from the representative on the Island it was only our Virgin Rep that helped us!

This was the best day of our vacation while in St. Lucia. The all-day catamaran tour was fantastic. The tour guides were sooo good and entertained us well. We went to the mud baths, botanical gardens and waterfall, and the volcano. The lunch was great also. They offered all the snacks, rum punch, and beer you could want. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone traveling to St. Lucia.

We have been to St. Lucia several times. It is a beautiful island with perfect weather and we love it. We have also taken a day cruise with the same itinerary as this one, in the past. We took it this time because we had family members with us who had not done so...including small children. The trip was enjoyable and the crew members were very nice. It did not, however, live up to my expectations based on my previous similar excursion. There are two particular reasons for this.

This is a good tour. You get to see a lot of the island in just one day: awesome scenery at the spot for swimming and snorkeling, continental breakfast and limitless drinks on the boat but the staff was more interested in creating a party atmosphere on board than anything else. Average buffet-style lunch (nothing wrong with it but nothing to write home about). All in all, I'd recommend this tour.

Barefoot Holidays staff were great. Kept us entertained all night. Dancing and drinks were flowing. Gave them 4 stars because I wish they told us what the activities for that day were. If you're going on this trip, its about 8 hours long and make sure you wear your swim suit because there are many activities planned for the whole day (snorkeling, swimming) aside from seeing the gardens, the volcano and doing the mud bath. The crew kept us entertained on the way back by drinking games and lots of dancing and fun music. Thank you again!!!

Truly disappointing. Multiple types of tours were merged into one catamaran, but without telling us in advance. There was not enough cover for everyone when it rained. The snorkelling was in a place with almost no fish to see, but with sufficient jellyfish-like creatures that stung everyone. The Caribbean has more than enough excellent snorkelling sites and the staff seemed to make an effort to take us to a place that wasn't one of them. We needed to wait in harbour at one stage for another tour group to come join us.

A great trip and a restful day out, the trip out on the catamaran was great with snacks and drinks, it was then on to the botanical gardens, our guide was a funny pleasant man, very informative, then on for dinner, sorry lunch, I don't think local food is the best but that's just my choice, but it was ok and clean plates were left, not a bad sign, we then had the choice of the mud bath or going to the volcano, we took the mud bath which when talking to other passenger's seemed the best option, It was like being a kid again getting caked in mud, only this time we didn't get told off by mum, then it was back to the boat to go home with a short stop for a swim, a bit too short for me, then there was the trip back to the dock with some game's going on, which to me just seemed to block the drinks counter up so you couldn't get a drink, but all in all a good trip if not a bit expensive, but then again most things are in St Lucia are.
