3-Night Yangtze River Cruise from Chongqing to Yichang including the Three Gorges Dam
Yangtze River, China
This four-day river cruise will show you the best of what China’s Yangtze River has to offer. Leave your troubles behind and relax on a sightseeing cruise along the gorgeous Yangtze River. Pass the famous Three Gorges (Qutang, Wuxia and Xiling gorges) and step off the ship to discover the Shibaozhai pagoda (included with 5-star cruise program) or the ghost town of Fengdu (included with super 5-star cruise program) and the Three Gorges Dam. Take included excursions on smaller boats and venture into Yangtze tributaries like the Shennong Stream or the Lesser Three Gorges, and enjoy delicious meals and entertainment on board the boat.
Discover the many wonders of the Yangtze River aboard a five-, or super five-star cruise ship. Your cruise will embark from Chongqing and take you down the Yangtze River to Yichang. Along the way, see the magnificent scenery of the Three Gorges (the Qutang Gorge, Wuxia Gorge and Xiling Gorge), and go on shore excursions to Shibaozhai pagoda (included with Goddess cruises) or Fengdu - China’s only ghost town (included with Gold cruise), and the gorgeous Lesser Three Gorges. One of the best parts of this cruise is the five-step ship lock that you will travel through in order to move downriver. It takes a total of almost three hours to pass through the locks! This one-of-a-kind experience is something you won’t want to forget, so make sure your camera is ready to go. Please see the Itinerary below for a more detailed schedule. Passengers may choose to tour both Shibaozhai pagoda and Fengdu ghost town for an additional fee.
Excellent tour through the cradle of China, with majestic awe inspiring views of the 3 gorges and the little gorges.

Pros: wonderful landscapes, the included excursions were also nice, the boat (Goddess) and the room (standard) were very nice, the food was acceptable._br/_ Cons: you need to pay for every form of entertainment while on the boat- 20 yuan to sing a song at the karaoke night or watch a movie. The whole experience although very nice was overpriced.

We booked the 5 star Gold cruise ship but instead the agency gave us a room on the president 1 ship. The room was ok but the bathroom not very clean. On top of that the agency told us that we had to pay for the fengdu tour excursion as it was optional. The staff onboard however was very kind.

Boat fantastic. Rooms clean/comfy. Tours/guides highly recommended especially mini gorges. This is Chinese tour few westerners but meeting your fellow passengers is half the fun and you will be looked after amazingly by Snow who deserves special praise. Even of you know no Chinese (me) still go here

The most important comments are positives:_br/_ 1. Very interesting cruise._br/_ 2. Caring staff_br/_ 3. There were only a few non Chinese speakers on the cruise. The staff went out of their way to make certain we were cared for._br/_ Unfortunately, a number of negatives:_br/_ 1.Too many items were considered an upgrade which required an extra fee._br/_ 2. Food quality needs to improve especially for western tastes._br/_ 3. Bed should be more comfortable._br/_ 4. The option we chose was 5 star plus. This is a gross exaggeration._br/_ 5. My gut feeling is that the price for Chinese tourists was lower than the price paid by Westerners.

It would be good to let prospective passengers know that a river cruiser (boat)_br/_ is NOT the same as an international ocean cruiser. I wonder how you managed_br/_ to get wheel-chair bound passengers up to the fifth-floor cabins and the sixth-floor_br/_ open deck without proper ramps or lifts.

Very comprehensive coverage of the relevant sights that should not be missed along the Yangtze. Hassle-free check-in onboard the ship on the first day. Spacious and pleasant ship interior. There are no elevators though. Good and substantial meals onboard.
