The hop on and hop off option is always good specially if you want the flexibility to explore the sights and have easy transportation around the key spots. Since it was a rainy and very cold day, it was very nice to be able to just go around the city inside the warm bus. The recorded narratives were helpful and humorous. It was a nice way to see the city when you just have one day.

we went in Jan, and did not get told when booking that two of the three tours only run on Fridays and Saturdays, and as it is winter the tours are once every two hours-so there was a lot of waiting round in the very cold. buses were not on time and when we asked staff about it they simply replied that it was winter! also the Tivoli gardens is not open in winter. prices in the city for food and drink are very expensive, and the service in bars/restaurants is poor-if you want water at your table then you have to pay extra for it. a lovely city but don't go in winter, the city was dead after about 6pm , all shops closed and no people on the streets or in bars-it was alittle like a ghost town!

Interesting tour. Savannah is apparantly a haunted city. This tour comparable to other haunted tours I have taken in other cities.

This was our first experience ever doing a hop-on hop-off tour and unfortunately we did it near the end of our time in Copenhagen. It is MUCH better to do something like this near the beginning of your trip so you have an idea of what attractions you'd like to see again before you leave. The speaker tour guide was clear and we learned a lot about the city's sights. Would definitely recommend to anyone!

Great way of seeing the city. Shuttle from the cruise port to the Little Mermaid included. Potential wait for the return shuttle so don't leave it too late if you are on a cruise. Stops at all the popular attractions.

We booked online, expecting to be able to access more than one route, however as it had become low season, only one was in use. As compensation, we were given tickets for the waterways tour. We were more than happy with this. The commentaries on the bus were good and the views from the boat excellent. We were able to nudge under the bridges, a few hours earlier the tide would have made this impossible.

This was perfect. Buses on time, stopped at every attraction. Drivers very nice and allowed 10 min to take pictures of the mermaid while he had a break which saved time between buses.

Review by:   Luch,    October 2017 Review: 1 star rating: I do not recommend this
Bus is very dirty, Dust and small plastic bags from earphones are flying all over place. There should be a trash can where in passengers can put their trash in.Driver did not offer earphones, found out from one of the passengers. My husband has to go down to get it. When we plugged the earphones, audio was not working. We have to move to another seat. Informations does not interest us all. Very little info or highlights were mentioned. We should have gotten a guided tour for 20 more. Riding the HO-HO BUS in Copenhagen is a waste of time and money.

Review by:   Tammy M,    September 2017 Review: 2 star rating: It was OK, but could have been better
The day we were there is was raining quite a bit. The bus was waiting at the ship so we got on the bus and waited. After a few minutes we were told to get off the bus and walk to the end of the street and get on a different bus. Upon arriving in town, we were told to get off the bus and wait for another as it was the drivers break! Really??? This not only happened once but actually 3 times. We stood in the rain waiting for other buses and ended up taking the one to Carlsberg where the dumped us and we had no idea where to go. Luckily Carlsberg had a free bus and we returned on it where we waited again in the rain for another Hop On Bus. _br/_ I don't know if they are always this disorganized but we weren't impressed. When a driver takes a break, normally another takes over right away not making the passengers get off.

We have used the hop-on-off buses in several cities. This one is average. There are two companies that operate in Copenhagen and it is difficult to visually detect one from the other. Each company has different stops, so you can stand at the wrong stop for 15 minutes and then be told that you need to move to a different location. Some of the stops are not clearly marked. This city's hop-on-off system needs improvement.

Bus left us at Little Mermaid stop and said it would be 15 minutes until the shuttle came to take us bake to the ship. It was 50 minutes, and the bus driver smelled heavily of alcohol!

I have used Viator a number of times when in Europe and every time there have been no issues. The drivers are always informative, everything runs smoothly. The tour of Copenhagen was no different. We went to all the main sites and could decide which ones we needed to come back to. It gives you a great overview of the city. Would recommend..

We found the Hop-On Hop-Off Tour disappointing after many days of touring Baltic cities. You can't underestimate the value of a guide!! Flyers provided are not in English, and whenever we asked questions, staff in the buildings were clearly unprepared to answer. If you get off, remember that they will depart in five minutes or less. Folks were left behind at the mermaid, though the items they left on their seats traveled on with us! A great overview. I purchased a three day pass for the three of us, and we used only half of one day. If you are willing to do the research yourself and buy tour books in English to lead you, you will likely be okay. We love to passively listen and ask questions.

This was a poor tour the bus was dated and falling apart. Not a pretty city and somewhat dirty. The driver was not very helpful. Picked us up at the pier and the refused to take us back. We realised that we had to swap buses at the Little Mermaid stop to teturn to our ship

Saturday is not a good day for using the hop on - hop off buses. It took an hour to catch one that was not full. My husband and I finally boarded one and the driver was rude. The buses are not elder- friendly. I did enjoy the narration and there were many beautiful sites. If you have mobility issues, I would recommend a different type of sightseeing option.

Not enough information on cost and such for tour. We paid for a two day tour because there were no one day hop on hop off available online so we paid the more expensive one for two days but could use it. Also, there wasn't info online regarding what time it stops and starts. The bus stops were hard to figure out where to catch and such, information is needed to know how everything works. _br/_ The little mermaid stop we didn't get a chance to pop out and take pictures. We really wanted to go to Christiana but it wasn't included on the map.

Think carefully before buying. These buses are not frequent enough to be called hop on hop off and there is no timetable so you can spend ages waiting. We queued for around 30 minutes with many others and almost didn't get on as bus so full. Driver at least warned us we should squeeze on as all buses coming behind were full. We ended up standing upstairs! Buses for other routes were even less frequent but at least they moved along at a decent pace so they provided a good tour of other parts of the city.

We took the 3 day pass for the 3 routes. We think that was too much, we didn't even use the 3rd day. Unfortunately, when we were there lots of road constructions and thus lots of delays waiting for the bus and thus crowds to get on, it was not every 15 minutes on the main red line. The 2 other bus routes the frequency is every hour. we ended up walking instead of waiting for the buses, if you are staying near the main area of Nyhavn every attraction is within walking distance.

Very informative. Oriented us to a variety of Copenhagen's areas, sights, and sounds. Rode the entire route at first. Then had ideas about where we wanted to go in the city to explore and enjoy in more depth.

The route we purchased on line was not available when we arrived? They exchanged tickets for the Bus and Boat tour instead. We did not do the boat tour but the bus locations were easy to find and busses not overcrowded so it was easy to hop off and on.

Over-crowded. Waited forever to start the tour. One bus came along and told us he was the wrong company and we needed to wait. 30 mins later, another bus arrived and we boarded but it was packed. 1/2 way through, driver pulled over and had us get on the previous bus that was allegedly another company. 1 of 2 headset jacks did not work.

A good way to see a lot in a little time. Some confusion between the red line and gray line busses. They look alike but once you figure it out, everything works well.

Review by:   Michael B,    September 2016 Review: 2 star rating: It was OK, but could have been better
It was raining and it was almost an hour before a bus arrived, and it was full. Only then did one of the ticket sellers tell us that we could simply walk a few blocks to get on a bus that was virtually empty. The ride did give us an overview of Copenhagen, and we did get off twice once to see the Little Mermaid and once to shop at an outlet center, but we found it more convenient to walk back to some of the sights rather than using the bus. We asked for the earphones that other passengers were being given, but the fellow on board got distracted and never got around to us. Overall, the hop-on-hop-off experience was not worth the price of the tickets. The red line buses seemed to be more numerous than these grey line ones we had tickets for that tour might be worth the cost.
