I've been to Cozumel so many times that I'm sure I've seen small children turn into adults! Playa Uvas Private Beach was an excursion I had not tried. I had done Mr. Sanchez, but that just seemed like it was for people who wanted to drink their day away. Playa Uvas had activities like kayaking and snorkeling, and the employees were super friendly. I also enjoyed the food. The pictures they took of my granddaughter snorkeling were stellar. And the cost was very reasonable. I would go again.

This venue is a convenient 8 km from the cruise ship terminal, yet around a point so the ships were not in site. The clear aqua water stretching get all the way across to the mainland off in the distance made for a wonderful get away from the noise and crowds of the ship. Since we booked through it or, it was not overly crowded as are many cruise ship excursion beaches. The facilities were clean, the beach was raked twice the morning we were there and there were ample restrooms and change rooms. The wait staff was very attentive, the drinks flowed quickly and often. I was surprised that the all inclusive limited us 1 lunch with a preset selection. I ordered a plate of nachos and was told it was not part of the package. However, at lunch I declinedon't he soup so the waiter substituted a huge bowl of guacamole, some fresh nachos and salsa. I was a happy camper. _br/_ We could have gone snorkeling with a group, but chose to go alone. We were followed by a venue photographer which we did not request, who snapped tons of photos. We later felt an obligation to purchase a second a couple. However, he did take us to a couple of spots and helped us see a ray and other fish I may not have found on my own. _br/_ The were two downsides to the day: we were told off the bat that the all inclusive food, drink, and wifi was only good for 4 hours. Is that so ethereal in the fine print? I never saw that when I booked the package! We are not heavy drinkers, averaging one every hour or so. I think they could have been a little flexible with that. The second was the constant parade of vendors from their store. When I pay money to go to a beach, I do not want to be asailed by the same tourist junk I passed up when getting off the ship._br/_ This is my third trip to Cozumel off a cruise ship. I would choose this venue overy the ship excursion any day. _br/_ However, some other people from our ship can here as a drop-in recommend by the taxi driver. Next time I will try this pay as you go method to have more food choices.

Very difficult to get into the water. We were bombarded with hawkers, while chillin, walking past selling souvenirs. We could not order food from the menu. Instead, we ended up with a plate of food 90% onions. They were taking pics of us snorkeling but said none of them came out.

My husband and I both got sick on our cruise, so we were unable to go on this excursion.

We had a great time at Playa Uvas and felt that the price that we paid was well worth it. The massage was great, the snorkeling was amazing and the food and drinks outstanding. The staff at Playa Uvas was very friendly and ready to help with anything that we needed. I would definitely recommend this excursion!

this was the best had an open bar cool breeze and an awesome massage on the beach area. And the food these guys make was better than anything i tasted on our cruise ship by far. I would recommend this to any one who just wants to relax and smell the cool ocean air and let life pass by :)

We spent a chill day at the beach and had massages (one of the best I've had actually). Just a great day on a private beach in paradise!

My husband and I had a great time at Playa Uvas. The staff was awesome as was the food and the snorkeling. The only complaint is that we weren't able to stay longer, like forever!

Heading over to Cozumel for the day was a great way to get away from the crowded resorts of Cancun. We almost had the beach to ourselves, and enjoyed a great lunch with margaritas! Unfortunately, it was an overcast day, so we didn't get to kayak or snorkel (although others were), but it was an amazing day regardless.
