Ostrich Farm and HATO Caves Combo Adventure
Curacao, Netherlands Antilles
Get acquainted with the biggest birds on Earth at an ostrich farm before exploring Hato Caves with this combo tour from Willemstad. This educational and interactive half-day tour with a local guide gives you the unique opportunity to feed an ostrich with your bare hands! Then it's on to the Hato Caves, where you'll discover unique formations formed thousands of years ago. Learn about the wildlife and history of Curacao on this family-friendly adventure!
After pickup from your hotel in Willemstad, drive to an ostrich farm, where you’ll learn about ostrich development – from egg to adult bird! Once at the farm on Curacao, board a safari Jeep with an expert guide who will narrate fascinating tidbits about the ostrich as you discover more about this wonderful reptile-like creature.
Learn the difference between the black- and gray-colored birds, the reddish flame on their beaks, how fast they can run and how far they can see. After hand-feeding an ostrich, the world’s largest bird, you may even get the chance to ride one!
After your safari tour, head to the Hato Caves, located on the north side of Curacao, for a 45-minute guided expedition along a paved and illuminated path. Discover the natural wonders inside the caves, where your guide will explain the intriguing geological process of their beautiful limestone formations, created more than 200,000 years ago when the caves emerged from the sea. As you explore the magnificent site, keep an eye out for the iguanas and the colony of seldom-seen long-nose bats that inhabit the caverns. Your tour ends with drop-off at your hotel.
Fun trip and very knowledgeable guides. The cave tour was a bit long and there wasn't much to see but I really enjoyed the ostrich farm

All Very Nice. It was a very interesting and unique experience suitable for all ages. Peters Tours was a very nice company, reliable and friendly. The owner himself, Peter managed and conducted the driving himself from point A to point B, not to mention on top of it all, so we would not miss a thing from our tour....Job Well-Done. :

The tour was interesting, but unfortunately there were not any babies to see due to the dry weather. We did get to see someone ride an ostrich which was neat._br/_ HATO caves was interesting, and informative.

Ostrich farm was really cool but we could've done without the cave tour. The caves were very hot and humid. Once you've seen one cave you've seen them all.
