Denver Guided Sightseeing Tour on Motor Scooters

Small group tours begin at the Big Blue Bear, Denver's favorite piece of public art. We include stops at a few of the following Denver locations: Confluence Park, Lower Downtown (LoDo), National Velvet, LoHi, Denver Highlands, Colorado Convention Center, Coors Field, Denver Union Station, Denver City and County Building, Colorado State Capitol, Molly Brown House, Governor's Mansion, Cheesman Park, Capitol Hill Mansion Bed and Breakfast, Denver Country Club's Reed Castle, Cherry Creek North, Washington Park, City Park, Denver Museum of Nature and Science.

Each tour is conducted a little bit different. Some groups like the guide to emphasize architectural features and styles. Others like the oversized public art. You will ride carefully as a group to each stop, pull up safely on the sidewalk, and then spend two-to-ten minutes talking about why the spot is interesting. The group will mostly ride on side streets, but occasionally be on a multi-lane road. Your guide will adjust to the riding ability of the group, so the number of stops will vary.

Along the way, your guide will tell stories about Denver's history beginning in 1858 and continuing through the trends of this modern city. Denver's early characters are brought to life and conversation will be had about architecture, city planning, property disputes, and the undead. (This tour is actually very light on the haunted malarkey). The group usually visits various pieces of public art, private art, graffiti mural art, and things that are so outlandish that they must be art.

Guided tours are usually 90 minutes, but often run long. The group will go to as many places as fit comfortably. Before leaving, the group will have a significant amount of time dedicated to teaching each person how to ride the scooters safely and how to ride in a group, so plan to dedicate 3 hours total. After the tour, many people do not want to stop the most fun part of their visit to Denver, so they continue on their scooters for the rest of the day and explore by themselves (by special arrangement, extra charge applies).

The scooter, helmet, eye protection (or you can wear your glasses or sunglasses), sunscreen, rain poncho, scootorial (training) and as many practice laps as you need is all provided.

There are no stops for food or water during the tour so feel free to bring a water bottle. Most of the time, the group doesn't need to stop for a bathroom break either, but will if necessary.

Completely enjoyed the scooter ride through Denver. The tour guide was knowledgeable of the area, knew where to stop to see interesting landmarks, buildings, parks, etc....the scooters were in great condition, fun to ride....love the stops we made to see all the talented graffiti art, too! Would definitely recommend as a great way to get a taste of downtown Denver and the freedom of seeing it on a fun scooter!

The motor scooter tour was exceptional, educational and well guided. They really stressed safety and made sure we were comfortable in riding scooter with practice laps before starting on tour. It was great!

I have been on Segway tours in other cities so I thought I would give the scooter tours a try this time. I absolutely loved it. You cover a lot more ground and if you have never ridden a motorcycle you gain that experience as well. If you can ride a bicycle, you can ride one of these scooters. Dave, our tour guide, has an interesting perspective on the city and a great sense of humor. Really enjoyed seeing the historic homes in the Capital Hill section of the city. I would highly recommend the tour.

I enjoyed a wonderful Sunday morning scooter tour with Dave, the tour guide. The scooter was a lot of fun to ride and anyone can do it. As a first time visitor to Denver, the tour sites and stops were perfect and Dave was a very good guide who shared a lot of information with us riders.

See really fancy buildings and scooter around a cemetery and listen polietly to some jokes. Careful of people crashing into you if you go to slow...

Outstanding tour! Great guide and lots of fun running around town on the scooters. My wife was a little uncomfortable getting on a scooter, but they did an excellent job of making her feel at ease before we went on tour. She did great and had a fantastic time.

This a fantastic way to spend an afternoon in Denver whether you're a tourist or a native! My husband and I treated my sister and niece to a scooter tour in June when we were on holiday in Denver. We all grew up and in Denver and it was fun to explore the sites and neighborhoods on the scooters. The scooters are super easy to handle and the guide gave plenty of instruction and practice time before heading out on the tour. The guide was fun and informative, if somewhat opinionated. I highly recommend this tour.
