Dubai City Half-Day Sightseeing Tour (Afternoon on Day 1 or Day 2 -- your choice): Start your afternoon with a pickup from your central Dubai hotel, and then sit back and relax on a sightseeing tour around town by air-conditioned minivan.
First stop is the striking sail-shaped Burj Al Arab hotel, located off the sands of Jumeirah Beach on its own artificial island. Although it doesn’t formally have the accolade, the hotel is consistently referred to as the world’s only 7-star hotel with incredible facilities inside its 1,053-foot-high (321-meter) building.
After a photo stop outside the hotel, continue along the shoreline to Jumeirah, one of Dubai’s chicest neighborhoods, and then head to the Al Bastakiya district near Dubai Creek. See Al Fahidi Fort (Dubai’s oldest building) and cross Dubai Creek to reach Deira – a fascinating multicultural neighborhood with numerous souks (markets). Soak up the colors and perfumes of the spice souk on a stroll with your guide and then spend time at leisure browsing the legendary Deira Gold Souk before returning to your hotel.
4x4 Dubai Desert Safari (Afternoon on Day 1 or Day 2 -- your choice): In the afternoon, leave your central Dubai hotel and head to the heart of the Arabian Desert by luxury 4x4 jeep. On the way, stop at a local camel farm to see camels of all different shapes and sizes, roaming around their natural habitat. Learn all about these amazing creatures and enjoy a short camel ride around the farm if you wish.
Next, try your hand at sandboarding – the desert’s answer to snowboarding that swaps snow-clad mountains for sweeping sand dunes. Your guide will give a comprehensive safety briefing and help you strap on your board before racing you and your fellow travelers down the dunes.
Relax on the short journey to a desert campsite for your sunset dinner. While feasting on your barbeque meal, enjoy the camp entertainment: get a henna tattoo on your hands or feet, or sit back and watch a traditional Egyptian folk dance known as El Tanoura, which is performed by spinning men in long, twirling skirts. Before returning to Dubai, smoke a shisha (an Arabic water pipe), if you wish, while enjoying a live belly dance performance around the campfire.

Excellent tour. They also accomodated us during Ramadon, as many places had different hours of operation. The Desert Safari is a must. We had the greatest time. So much fun and great memories. The buffet was very good, as was the snack. We were fortunate to have Bobby as our driver. He was very experienced and knowledgable. This was really enjoyable part of my trip. The tour operator was very good. We were picked from hotel in comfortable vehicle. Our driver Abdul Kader was very good. He drove safely. The sand dune bashing was best enjoyable part. Abdul was very skilled in dune bashing. Entertainment was good too.

Desert safari is a bit contrived, but still lots of fun. Getting a chance to ride a camel, sand surfing and dune busting meke this a pretty unforgettable day. Range of food choices at desert BBQ could be improved.

Went back in September and it was a trip highlight. The sand dunes are not for the faint of heart and I probably would have chickened out if I'd known how intense it is but it's now a top travel memory. This is a real bargain activity that I'd repeat.

The safari is good value, deserving a 5 but not the city sightseeing, maybe there's really not much to see in Dubai! We were glad to have taken the combo and not 2 separate tours which cost more. Dubai was a stop over for us, we would not take a tour specifically to Dubai.

Had a taste of the highlights of the desert. Great guide and everything went well. Some people wanted a long ride on the camel, but really, why? I thought it was just fine, but if you want a long camel ride, do another tour. This gives you a quick sample of sand boarding, camel ride, with great dinner and show and good time riding the SUV's through the sand dunes.

The city tour was wonderful. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and able to speak to people in their language. He gave background info and general info as well as made it possible for a Mall of Dubai drop off at the end of the tour to see the fountain show. In the Spice Souk he took the time to take us to a store and explain what many of the spices were and did medicinally. We got to try the various dates and nuts. It was obvious there was a deal made between the store and tour company to bring the tourists there so that we would purchase from him but he gave good prices so it was ok. Just watch the attempts at swindling with the bad math._br/_ To improve: more time in the spice souk needed. Less time in the gold souk needed to much harrassing_br/_ Desert Safari: a nice evening where Orient Tours gives personal attention where you are driven directly to the camp site unlike other tours where you are brought to the desert to have to switch cars with the 100s of others waiting by the side of the road. The dune bashing is 40 min. If you get car sick, I suggest you skip this and go straight to the camp site tell your driver. The 3 min drive to the site was enough dune bashing for me. The henna, shisha and falcon made for quick activities. The camel ride is in a brief circle for 2 min or so. Great sunset picture opportunities. The sand boarding was lame. Not at all like on snow. Very jarring many stop/starts. Not a smooth ride. But try it. The dinner was plentiful with choices of meats and sides with free pop and tea and sweets for dessert. Pick up by the driver was prompt and the ride back to the hotel was easy. A great price and value for the personalized experience.

The city tour was more of a designated shopping trip with the occasional photo shot._br/_ The safari was fine although the desert drive was very tame. The camp was good with plenty of activities. Food was good and plentyful.

The city tour was excellent. Saw interesting places and Ruben was very knowledgeable, patient, and we'll organized. The desert safari was in a class all by itself. We are experienced world travelers and we found this event to be absolutely fantastic. Yarif was superb as a guide and desert convoy driver. The up and down ride across the sand dunes was thrilling, the photo views of the landscapes and of us with camels and falcons exquisite, the shows at the desert camp entertaining, the camel rides weird in a good way and the evening meal in the open tents fantastic. For those interested there was also sand surfing, henna painting, and other things. We have lived in the Middle East and expected the day to be a little tame for us. IT WAS NOT!!

Racing around the sand dunes was amazing and scary at times. It was reassuring to have internal crash bars in the vehicles as we felt we were going to need them at times. Our driver new exactly how far he could go to make us scream but still keep safe. It was the family in the vehicle with me that were screaming - it wouldn't have been me!!_br/_ The BBQ in the desert was adequate and the entertainment with belly dancing and a whirling dervish was great._br/_ It was the first time I have ridden a camel and yes it is as hard as it looks to stay on when the camel stands up and again when it sits down.

I thought the safari was very interesting and exciting for someone who has not seen the dessert before. It was perfect for us. The guides were all friendly and helpful and they helped take pictures too. Enjoyed the night show too. The entertainment and food were both very good. We enjoyed the city tour the next day. Absolute must for your visit to Dubai!!! I went with my mother and from beginning to end we had a blast! The desert safari was so thrilling! Our tour guides picked us up on time from our hotel and later transferred to SUVs that took us into the desert. This was one of the highlights as we sandsurfed the hills of the desert, dipping and weaving in between the other SUVs felt like an adventure movie! After, we driven to the campsite, where we rode camels and ate amazing traditional food very tasty! while watching the sun set! There was also a performance, henna tattoos, and hookah! It was an absolutely amazing! Must do!

The tour group we went with, Orient Tours, was amazing. The Desert Safari was so well planned with a new attraction or experience at every turn. We got to try Dune Bashing, Sand Boarding, getting henna done, trying shisha and Arabic coffee, visiting a camel farm I chose not to ride the camels as I felt bad for how it was all tied up. Camel riding is an option for those who choose to participate and more!! It came with dinner and cultural dance show. Basically, everything you want to experience in a day.

The Desert Safari was outstandingly good 5 star and I thoroughly recommend it. The city tour - very poor indeed. Monotone delivery from the guide and poor quality sights. We must have been driven in the oldest coach in Dubai. The souks are entirely charmless rows of shops, the Jumeirah mosque wholly unimpressive and the rest not worth even mentioning. _br/_ I recommend booking the safari separately take the cheapest deal you can get as there were around 20 vehicles from multiple tour operators delivering exactly the same experience

The Desert Safari was awesome5 stars for desert safari but the city tour was average. For the city tour we had a very knowledgeable guide but the bus took almost 2 hours to pick everyone up and we were left with limited time to see the attractions the rest of the day. Other than that it was still a good experience . I would give 4 or 5 stars if the city tour was better organized by the tour operator.

So much value for money, we were literally waiting for something to catch us out but there never was. We had a guide called Martin taking us on a tour of the souks etc and he was full of so much information. We had a driver called Nofa called himself 'no fun' but far from it for the sand dunes who was very kind. He managed to get me out of the ride on the sand dunes, as this wasn't something I wanted to do, but the rest of my family had a fab time and got the best pictures. This honestly is such a once in a lifetime opportunity and was by far the best part of our holiday. We went to Dubai for 4 days, so it was a quick trip. We were so glad that we chose this tour. The City Sightseeing gave us a good overview of the city, covering both old and new. We really enjoyed the spice market and gold market at the Souks. The Desert Safari was a blast. It was action packed with a drive through the Desert Dunes, camel ride, and topped off with a show and lavish meal.

Picked up from our hotel in a four wheel drive and driven out to the desert where we met up with 15 other vehicles, they took us over the sand dunes to a desert camp. You could go on camel rides, sand boarding, get a hemma, hold a falcon. A bbq dinner was included which was delicious. There was a fire dance, traditional dance and ending with belly dancing! A fun night not to be missed.
