When your cruise ship docks in the Falmouth port, embark on an exciting tubing adventure down the scenic Rio Bueno, a river in Jamaica. After pickup from the Falmouth port, you’ll receive a brief safety overview and training before taking a short walk over the Irie Bridge through the lush rainforest to the launching spot.

Then, jump in your tube and follow your guide downstream! Enjoy the twists and turns of the Rio Bueno as you float down the winding river. Stop for a break under bamboo trees and spend time relaxing by the riverbanks, swimming in the cool waters or trying out the nearby rope swing.

After lounging, get back in your tube and float over some more rushing rapids as you pass under an old stone bridge toward the Caribbean Sea. Once you reach the river delta, paddle over a few small waves with your guide to get to the white-sand shores of Bengal Bay. Here, lounge in the sun, swim, and admire the tropical Jamaican landscape.

The first time last year was so much fun we had to go back for more this year. Lots of fun and the tour guides are amazing our river guide Brenton was awesome!. We went from Falmouth Port. It's super easy to get there. Simply walk to the parking lot at the port and wait for your friendly Braco driver in under the shaded tent. Your driver will direct you to your clean, air conditioned vehicle. It's a short ride to the Rio Bueno where your guides will set you up and you'll begin your adventure. You'll take a short walk/hike, learn about the local river and its beauty, walk and climb some rocks in the refreshing falls optional and take a cool plunge in the river. After that, your guide will help you in your tube and down the river you go. We felt safe and well taken care of by Brenton and Devyon and all the staff. They're super fun and make the trip worth it. After tubing, you end up taking a small raft to the open ocean waters and end up on a beautiful beach with a bar, freshly made food to order, showers to rinse off, restrooms and don't forget the delightful beach to enjoy. This trip is definitely worth it! Don't forget to tip your driver and especially your river guides. Seriously- they do a lot of work to keep your adventure fun and safe... don't leave without letting them know what a great job they did.

Transport to the shore excursion was difficult. We had to wait under a large white tent located within the gated area owned by the cruiseline. The tent is located to the left of the main walkway into the town of Falmouth. There was no one to help us find our ride.The ticket was for a 1p.m. pick-up however, the ship was using eastern standard time and Falmouth is an hour behind. We were unsure whether we would be picked up on ship time or local time. _br/_ Eventually, a driver appeared to pick us up. Upon leaving the gated area, we were taken to a seedy back street parking lot and told to switch vehicles. This alarmed my wife greatly. I then noticed that the second vehicle did not have the window stickers the first vehicle had which, apparently, was needed to get into the gated area. My suspicions were confirmed since we were dropped off outside the gates upon our return. _br/_ The location was about a one-half hour drive away from Falmouth. The river was fairly swift with mutiple mini-rapids. We had a guide with us in the water who steered us away from rocks, saw grass, etc. We went about three miles down stream. We then were taken by boat to Bengal Beach which is at the mouth of the river. The driver met us at the beach and took us back to Falmouth. The whole excursion took about two and one-half hours from door to door.

We loved it, but it was a little too short. If you like just being in a comfort zone, not to much choppy water, then this is for you. If you are looking for more waves, then you need to find a different river.

My husband and I recently went on the Jamaica river tubing adventure on the Rio Bueno. It was one of our favorite excursions starting with the friendly van driver to the professional staff. The river rapids and scenery where spectacular!!! We would highly recommend it to anyone!!!

While the rafting portion and beach was nice, the port pickup was TERRIBLE! The phone number provided by Viator didn't work, so it was hard to find the guide. Then, once we found him, he said "wait right here" and never returned. 1 hour later, thanks to another guide's kind help, we found our van!
