Leave central Florence and travel west through the emerald hills of Tuscany. Your destination is Pisa, an elegant Tuscan city located near Lucca. Hop off your coach after a journey of 1.5 hours and set off to sightsee with your guide.
Walk around Cathedral Square, home to the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa – a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Pose for photos by the tilting monument, which has captivated sightseers for centuries, and learn all about its history from your guide. The square is also home to Pisa Baptistry, Campo Santo and Duomo di Pisa, so listen to your guide explain each one as you walk around.
After your tour of Cathedral Square, your guided tour will conclude with a visit to the Palazzo Vescovile in Piazza Arcivescovado. Very hard to find the meeting place. Perhaps should have said, at the station walk the length of platform 16 and then down the slop. Apart from that, we enjoyed our visit to Pisa, but apart from church and leaning tower not much else to see

If all you need is safe transportation to Pisa from Florence, this is the trip for you. On the trips there and back, there could have been, but was not, narration about anything other than where the bus would park, etc. I can only speak for the day that I went, other days could be better. When we arrived, the guide's microphone didn't work, so other than following her, there was no help there, either. We could have chosen another day, and would have, because the church was closed, and we were not told that until we arrived. She offered to make the walking trip longer, but since we couldn't hear her, we didn't opt for that.

Seeing the leaning tower excellent experience.. Watch out for the pick pockets on the outside of the tower, young and old pray on the weaker of the pack.. Our guide went off too quickly and left us behind.. The rest of the tour was excellent...

This tour was excellent and very informative - we only had about 15 people on the tour. Plenty of time for free exploring as well, I highly recommend this tour. I didn't book the Tower climb, although wish I did!

I booked this tour with the tour to climb the Leaning Tower note that the tour to Pisa does NOT include access into the Leaning Tower, which is my first complaint. After touring the church, we were to meet a tour operator to get our pass into the Leaning Tower. After some confusion, we found the tour operator who gave us our pass to enter the Leaning Tower at 5:30 pm. The bus was scheduled to leave Pisa at 5:45 pm! That left us only 15 minutes to climb the 294 steps of the Leaning Tower, run around and snap pictures, and then run back down to catch the bus back to Florence. Our tour operator was wonderful and argued urgently on behalf to let us into the Leaning Tower sooner than 5:30 pm, but all the earlier slots were booked. She promised to give us a few extra minutes in the Leaning Tower before leaving, but it was still a very rushed, exhausting and stressful experience.

The guide on the coach was first class, amusing but very informative and careful, too, to ensure our well being and safety from any pick pockets. The trip through the beautiful Tuscan countryside was great and Pisa was just fabulous: there is so much more than just the leaning tower, which we never realised. It's so beautiful, it must be seen. Our guide in Pisa was excellent, with superb English, very informative but with a great sense of humour to make it all very interesting.

Great little trip from Florence! Just one issue though, the Cathedral was closed due to some kind of special concert. It is supposed to be quite beautiful and we did not get to see inside. There is a always a possibility that any of the churches or Cathedrals can be closed at any time due to special programs going on. Other than that the Leaning tower and surrounding buildings were very beautiful to see. And of course we got our share of pictures holding the bell tower up. If you go to Italy don't miss it!

The most important thing to say is that the voucher does not give enough information about where to meet for this tour and it is very difficult to find. The directions could have been much easier if they had said to go through the train station to level 16 and walk over the covered bridge, without this information if you are using google maps and the road way it is dangerous and difficult. The guides, both on the bus and at Pisa were good. It is important to know that buses cannot enter close to Pisa and you have a 15 minute walk to reach the square and following the guide over busy roads can be challenging. If I was doing this again I would have planned my own day in Pisa to allow for more free time to explore, we only had 5 minutes of free time in the cathedral and 90 minutes after the tour to enjoy the rest of Pisa.

I was not impressed with this tour for a couple of reasons. The guide on the tour bus Tatjana spoke very broken English and was extremely difficult to understand. Once we got to Pisa, the tour guide that we were passed over to also was very difficult to understand. The Pisa tour guide was knowledgeable but the time spent with her was very short and we were then left on our own for well over an hour with nothing to do. Do not recommend this tour.

This is the first Viator tour we've ever taken that we haven't liked. The local tour company is not up to Viator standards. When we met at the tour departure point, we had to walk about a mile to where the bus was parked with very little explanation by the tour guide and no advance preparation for the long walk. That was hard on older folks in our group. Our busy then took us to Pisa and arrived at the city with no restroom stop on the way, then no place to stop once we walked 1/2 mile into town except a McDonald's with a pay toilet and 20 minute wait to use it. Our guide had a very thick accent and didn't give us much information anyway. Fortunately, local guides are required once you enter the park where the tower is. Our local guide was quite good. We're glad we saw it but it is so touristy and one of our tour bus compatriots had his pocket picked while we were walking through the stalls that sold cheap souvenirs that I think seeing Ripley's Believe it or Not version of the tower would have been fine.

This was a great tour. It was so enjoyable traveling by comfortable coach through the Italian countryside to reach Pisa. The walking tour was very interesting, with Clara leading us throughout the cathedral, baptistry and the Tower. She was also terrific at telling people the best place to do those pushing/pulling Tower photos. All in all a lovely half day tour.

I went on a very hot day in August and the bus never really cooled down so it was not a pleasant journey there or back. However, the tour in Pisa was fun and they gave plenty of time to look around. The time listed for this activity is not accurate - it was listed as 4.5 hours but the entire trip was more like 6-7 hours. Also the location of the meeting point was not clearly described and I was worried about finding the place. A map with the location of the meeting point or more details in the meeting point description would have been helpful.

The local tour guide in Pisa was very nice and friendly. Had enough free tine for pics. The place was very beautiful as well. Worth the 1hr+ trip from Florence. The only thing I did not like (which is probably not the tour's fault) is the long walk from the bus to the Piazza Dei Miracoli.

Only marred by the fact that I was 'picked' again and lost more money in this city - I was 'picked on my first visit also so I was really stunned to have this happen again without noticing. But the tour was very well done as on my first visit I did not have a guide. The bus ride from Florence was pleasant however, the walk from the bus parking to the complex was way too long.

It was raining buckets on this tour day and I ended up missing the tour bus the one tour that leaves on time! I did hop a train to Pisa but, again, raining buckets - do NOT go to Pisa unless the forecast is for clear skies because there is absolutely no where to take shelter when the heavens open up over your head!

My husband and I had a great time with this quick tour to Pisa. We were staying in Florence and took advantage of this tour just to see the Leaning Tower, Cathedral and Baptistry. The guide did a a great job explaining everything in English, French and Spanish on the bus tour. Then in Pisa, we had local guide who took us to the Cathedral, and explained all the history of this wonderful place. The only change I would suggest is to have a meeting point in Florence closer to where the bus was parked. It was quite a long walk!

We didn't get to go. Our flights were delayed by a day and we missed the tour. Couldn't find a way to contact Viator to reschedule so we lost the money for a 4 person reservation.

Listed as an English speaking guide but ended up being 3 different languages - the trip from Florence to Pisa - I don't think there was a second where the lady actually paused. She just spoke the whole way - was quite annoying. When we got off - we walked to Pisa and had a different tour lady who resides at Pisa. This lady was a bit younger and she was okay. The scenery is absolutely stunning I must say. This doesn't include walking up the tower though - this incurs an additional cost if you're looking to do so. You have an opportunity for about 60mins to roam and have a bite to eat as well as buy souvenirs. The ride back was fairly silent to Florence. A must do trip but perhaps another tour guide company might be better.

we arrived at the meeting spot a day early but she got us in the last two seats!! Grazi...Bus ride was good but the tower was amazing. We kind of went out on our own but really enjoyed the day. Good value.
