Travel back in time and halfway around the world with the Mai Kai Polynesian Revue Dinner Show in Fort Lauderdale. A throwback to the classic tiki bars of the 50's and 60's, the Mai Kai has been putting on this show since 1956. And did we mention the award winning food is top notch?
At Mai Kai Polynesian Revue Dinner Show in Fort Lauderdale, put on your Hawaiian shirt, and walk over the rope and plank bridge into another time and place. Huge tikis stand guard once you're inside. Thatch roofs, outrageous costumes, palms trees, and waterfalls are all there to complete your experience.
You'll be welcomed to your table by the warm and friendly staff, as course after course of award winning cuisine is presented to you. You'll get an appetizer, entree, and even dessert!
After dinner, pull up a huge tropical drink (not included) since Mai Kai was voted "Best Happy Hour" by South Florida Magazine - and enjoy the show!

We were very disappointed with this show. Although the food was good, it was limited and there was an upcharge for the expanded menu. Our table had poor visibility to the stage and the show was boring and redundant. Better to spend your money on a nice meal elsewhere.

The performers were fantastic we were amazed at their talent and their smiles were heart warming, even through all that 'exercise'. Go on the self tour it is spectacular ...the waterfalls and gods and greens are perfect for picture taking. The meal was huge and we took lots home for lunch the next day...enjoy

This dinner and show was excellent. The food was fantastic as were the employees and the price was well worth it. The show was very entertaining altho maybe a bit loud. I would recommend this dinner show to anyone visiting in the area.

This place is family-friendly and children-friendly. The best part about this location is the entertainment. The entertainment was only one hour long. They gave a short history of the Polynesian culture and gave a short Polynesian dance and fire show as part of their entertainment. The location served various types of chinese foods and chinese meals and desserts at this location. My favorite meal was the fried calamari and the fried chinese rice. Their non-alcoholic pina coladas was delicious in my mouth.

The overall experience was nice. The show was very enjoyable. I did however notice that customers that used a voucher were treated differently than the rest. For example, there seemed to be a specific area for voucher users to be seated not a good view of the show and they were not accommodating. The food was ok. Nothing to brag about. What I absolutely did love was the garden and the show.

A rip off. They upsell everything and charge way too much for cocktails. The show was so so...and the food was just that ...food..

Waste of money. They sat us so far in the back we could not see the show. We asked to move and they put us further to the back. Great disappointment.

The pre-set menu doesnt have much variety. the drinks are expensive and really not that good. I got a virgin pina colada and regular pina colada. It was with a lot of ice cubes and kind of watery and the regular pina colada was double the price than the virgin which i found crazy

Great experience. Beware of cost upgrades on the menu. Honored the Viator voucher but came with limited menu.

Let me start by saying that the rating is low for reasons other than the food, and the show. The food was good, and the show really was pretty good. The problem is that when we got there, they had us waiting around for 45 minutes, and made us feel second rate for having the tickets pre-purchased. And when we were finally seated, they gave us menus, and then took them back and handed us different ones, stating that the tickets we bought only came with the limited menu. After a lot of intense conversation, it seems that the full menu was 6 dollars more per person. Did they ask me to pay the difference? No they did not, they just shoved a contract for the tickets we had in our face. The whole thing became a pain in the butt. I f you read the menu online, and read the reviews, and get there and stuff is different, it's off putting! I really don't know who is at fault, Viator or Mai Kai...... I had a party of 5 that night, and I really don't know if I'll ever go back or even recommend it to anyone!

Choice of about fifty exotic drinks, one more interesting than the next. Our food was brought quickly, and between the entree and dessert we strolled in the garden, lit with flaming tiki torches! The music and dancing by the troupe was not to be believed, and the young men juggling the fiery batons were terrific!

Pros: The food was good, the drinks were good, the show was good and the restaurant was decorated nicely._br/_ Con: Not every table has a good view of the stage. Some of the tables have poles blocking some of your view. We were first put at a poor viewing table. When we asked to change, they moved us to a better one, but it still had a partial blocked view.

It was ok. I would not do it again. Food was average and the show was average. If you have nothing else to do its a nice place to go have an evening together. They charge you the same to valet your car or park at yourself so basically force you to valet it I didn and #39;t like that at all.

Absolutely fantastic! We've been to Hawaii six times and have been to the Polynesian Cultural Center. This show was like a mini version of the many islands of Polynesia.
Review by: Timothy J, March 2016
Mai Tia was worst I have ever drank. For 16 in a Polynesian restaurant, it should have tasted like something other than sweet and soured mixer. Food was ok. Performers were excellent.
Review by: Marina S, February 2016
We were not aware that the shows were only three times a day and had to wait for the show until 10pm with small children. Also we were not told that the menu offers quite a great verity instead we got stuck with the very limited menu we paid via viator.

Dinner show was good, we were seated far to the right of the stage, could not see the stage well. The sound system was poor. Charged for parking. Nice garden out side the dinning area.

the facility was beautiful, the garden was breathtaking. the only complaint I had is that the commentator of the show did not speak clearly enough to understand her very well. other than that fabulous show and meal.
