I really enjoyed this half day tour as I had limited time in Geneva. The first part of the tour comprises of the new city on a coach and the second part of the old town is on a little open train. _br/_ Beautiful insight of Geneva !

This tour is well worth doing, and the ancient buildings are very interesting. It is quite hilly, and there are also many steps to go down as well, but should be ok for most people. It was quite quiet in winter when we were there, but I am sure that in the summer it is a very busy area with lots going on all the time.

The guide was very knowledgeable and showed us parts of the city that we probably wouldn't have seen on our own. The combination of bus and walking was just right. And she conducted the tour in both English and French which allowed us to brush up on our French skills.

This tour was amazing! I don't remember the name of the guide but she was amazing. We had the perfect idea how Geneva looks like and we went to all the important place we needed to know. Thank you Viator for this tour. It is a must if you go to Geneva.

Very good tour which takes you to the main areas - new town, left and right bank and the old city. Guide was informative and was happy to answer lots of questions.

The tour in the minibus was great, seeing the UN and other places I probably wouldn't have had time for. The little train was interesting too. There was no walk through the streets with a guide though, so we saw only what the train driver could get to in his train. My husband liked it as he is not much of a walker!

Not really impressed with this . You could just do it yourself . Getting around Geneva city centre is a piece of cake taking public transportation and lots of nice strolling along the lake. The tour guide for the English tour was a quite boring and impatient.

We only had one day in Geneva and this tour was able to cover most of the highlights of the city! We especially enjoyed the mini-train ride through the old part of the city.

Took it on my first day after landing in Geneva. A great way to get acquainted with the City. Highly recommended and a great value.

very interesting with the toy train ride in the old city

The city tour lived up to my expectations--it was a great orientation to the city. We saw the outside of the buildings in the international district including the UN, the city area around the lake, and took a walking tour of old town. I went back to old town the next day to enjoy a music festival and some museums I was glad I was oriented to the area, however. The guide recommended taking the tour of the U.N. get on the U.N. website for details which you should work into your itinerary.

Mildly educational, stopped infrequently and did not provide enough time during stops to take more than one picture missed out on chair memorial near UN building. My husband took a similar tour in Geneva one year earlier and it was much better including stops at the museum, longest bench in the world, near cathedral, reformist wall and other sites. I would not recommend this tour to anyone and none of the three of us felt we received our moneys worth. Disappointed in Viator since thought you vetted the tours better so not sure would trust Viator again.

Great tour. 3-hour Geneva tour and Lake Geneva cruise was very informative. The Tramway tour commentary about Geneva's past was very entertaining and the guide very friendly. The 1-hour Lake Geneva cruise was a good way to view the city.Highly recommended.

This tour gave me a great first time visit overview of the city. The guide was very good and I liked that the tour covered both old and new features of the city - it also did not only involve sitting in the bus but also walking in the older part of the city.

The Geneva City Tour opened our eyes of what to see in Geneva along with a window to its history. Getting to know what Geneva has to offer supports our wish to come back to Geneva and to spend a few more days so as to be able to visit all the places shown to us during the tour.

We had a lovely guide, who was knowledgeable and helpful. We were disappointed that the train didn't work in old town because we had climbed all those hills the day before and since we were on a bus tour, didn't wear proper shoes to walk around again. Paid a lot of money for a tour that didn't deliver.

Excellent tour to give you a feel for Geneva - in Winter you don't do the lake tour but at least you find out it's not Lake Geneva!

I enjoyed it very much - We has a wonderful informative and engaging guide - and the tour provided a wonderful overview of this gorgeous city

A great way to see Geneva. Our guide Patricia was lovely, very friendly and knowledgeable about the city. She allowed for extra time for the walking tour of the old town which was very interesting. The remainder of the tour by bus to see the international district where the United Nations and World Health Organisation buildings among others were located was ok, however, as we only drive by these buildings, it seemed a bit pointless in the end.

It was ok. I felt like I was the youngest person on the trip and I felt I was treating as such. Shame. But it was good to get a look at Geneva and some background information.
Review by: Maia R, November 2015
It was honestly a great tour. Everything you need to know in Geneva in a very compact setting, plus whatever you want to see more of you can always go back. For instance, we are shown St. Peter's Cathedral, and we can take pictures outside. I wanted to tour the towers and the site after so I went back the next day! It definitely is informative, and you will get good pictures. Our guide was more enthusiastic than most tours that I've been on, so that was a plus. The little train ride was cute, too. I got great pictures of the monuments, and I'm overall pleased with the tour.

I would say it is ok but not fantastic... it is basically seeing the sights from the bus as there was no stop planned for us to get down for pictures

We received a general idea about the city and the highlights. The time was well spent. I would recommend doing this tour on your first day so that you know where you would like to go back and visit.
