This was my second Atlantis submarine ride. It is a thrill to go down in a sub. It felt very safe. The crew was delightful and pointed out things to see. Each person had access to a large porthole for viewing. This is a good option for those of us that do not dive or snorkle. We dove to a depth of approx. 100 ft, Unfortunately, at that level, everything looks blue! You do not see the pretty colors of the fish or of the coral. I wish they had used exterior lighting to offset the blue coloring. Friends that are divers, use lighting for that purpose. For that reason, I gave it a 4 instead of a 5.

it was hard to understand what the captain was saying over the intercom and we were packed in the seats like sardines

When we booked this tour, we thought it was a bit expensive, but we're on vacation and life is short. It was worth the cost. Neither of our party are great swimmers, so to be able to see the reef and fish in their natural environment was wonderful. The shipwrecks were also very interesting. Our guides were informative and helped make the experience memorable unfortunately, I am bad with names and have forgotten his name. Thanks for making our first trip to Hawaii even more terrific!

It was a great experience. For medical reasons, the wife and I are unable to get in the water, but the submarine adventure allowed us to get down to the reef and see many different species of fish including a shark and barracuda. The guide that traveled with us was knowledgeable and had a great personality. The support staff was helpful and ensured we were able to get in and out of the sub safely. The equipment was all first rate and seemed safe. Unless you are planning on scuba diving, it was simply a great way to experience the reef, and I highly recommend it.

This tour was very good. I saw more sea life than when I did the trip in Honolulu but this was due to the location.

I took Carol on this because she doesn't snorkle and this was a chance to see some beautiful fish. We did see some fish but the viewing windows are quite thick and also due to the depth, a lot of the colors were lost._br/_ Over all an ok trip but not outstanding.

Great crew. Fun and informative. I would still rather scuba, but this was an easy, dry, different way to go 100 ft under the ocean.

Good experience. Not as many fish as anticipated but did get to see a shark. Seating a bit uncomfortable

The Atlantis submarine experience is definitely worth doing at least once. We went on the ride at Kona and should have scheduled it for Maui also, as they have a good discount for multiple trips. Just the experience of being in a submarine is unique and the scenery is interesting and fun. The tour leaders were entertaining and educational.

We saw lots of different kind of fish and everything was well explained--if you are not a scuba diver--this pretty much replaces the experience--but without the danger--and you see different fish, etc than snorkeling--it was totally worth the moola--we had a truly special experience.

Very good undersea tour. Lots of coral, fish, and wrecks. Cool AC in sub....no claustrophobia. Lots of veiwing ability. Guides are very friendly and informative. Well worth the $.

This was an amazing tour. I would have liked to have seen the colors of the corals but unfortunately with the UV lights from the sub, we could not see how colorful it was. A little cramped in there, but I guess that is to be expected - it is a submarine after all. Great crew!

just getting on the boat and in a submarine and going more than 110 ft below the surface was plenty exciting. The crew was friendly, the speaker was funny and knowledgeable. A must see.

The staff was very nice and understanding when after they closed the hatch, I went into a little panic and asked if I could leave. My husband loved it.
