If you're a certified diver who wants to experience some of Hawaii's best diving, this two-tank scuba diving tour from Slip 18 in Kawaihae is for you! Off the Big Island coast, you’ll enjoy two 30- to 45-minute dives at different locations chosen by your captain on the day of your dive. Possibilities include Bandit Ledge, North Golden Arches, Kaloko Arches, Turtle Pinnacle and Thunder Reef. See amazing marine life, a third of which is unique to Hawaii.
After meeting your diving group at Slip 18 in Kawaihae, board the diving boat and head out into the Big Island’s tropical waters. You will be given two full tanks of certified diving air, each of which will last 30-45 minutes, depending on how fast you breathe.
Your captain will choose your two diving sites depending on the day’s visibility and weather.
Possible sites include: Pentagon: Lava Tube Diving. Lava tubes and arches
Arena: Diving with White Tip Reef Sharks in Hawaii. Arches, tubes, white tip reef sharks
KPC: Whales in the winter with Waikoloa Coast Divers. Coral, gradual drop off, winter whales
6th Hole: Manta Ray Cleaning Station on the Big Island of Hawaii. Manta cleaning station, eagle rays and golf balls.
Mauna Lani Fingers: Reef Lava-flow coral formations, lots of coral, fish and turtles
Turtle Mound: Turtle Cleaning Station on the Big Island of Hawaii. Turtle cleaning station, arches, lava tubes, white tip reef sharks
Paniau, Puako: Fish and Reef on the Big Island of Hawaii. Cavern, coral, turtles and walls.
Puako Point, Puako 3, Puako 4: Diving Through Arches. Coral, arches, garden eels, and turtles.
Please note: This is not an introductory dive. You must be already be a certified diver, with your certification documentation or card, to participate in this dive.
