Wildlife park was fun - lots of kangaroos to interact with as well as opportunity for a close up with a koala. Highly recommend the Bonorong Wildlife park

This was a great tour, just alittle rushed. The Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary is small, but so informative and wonderful. This wildlife sancutary, cares deeply for all the animals that are brought here. You will love seeing all the Aussie animals. The tour of Richmond was great too, but didn't have much more than 45 minutes here. Not enough time, but well worth it anyway. Seeing the Richmond Jail was very interesting as well. I do recommend going on this tour.

Bonorong was informative and entertaining. Well worth the trip. The Richmond tour was only an hou, but a pretty city to wander through.

I enjoyed this trip, my only criticism would be that both the stops at Richmond and the wildlife park are too short and you feel really rushed at each location. Richmond reminded me of an old english village. The wildlife park was great and I always enjoy feeding kangaroos!

the trip to Bonorong was great. We only wish we had more time there. The interactions with the animals there were amazing.

A smashing trip despite the weather - it poured all day. A great driver/guide took us first for a short stay in Richmond. We visited the local gaol and a bakery - both equally interesting. We then headed off to Bonorong. What a fantastic place! It is a sanctuary for injured and attacked animals from all over Tasmania. They aim to return the animals to the wild wherever possible too. Fed loads of kangaroos - some with joeys in their pouches. One of the staff then took us on a tour of some of the other animals including Tasmanian Devils, koalas and wombats. Her love and respect for these animals shone through. A small wildlife park but a totally worthwhile and enjoyable visit.

Maybe start the tour 45 minutes earlier so you can fit a walk in without feeling rushed.

This was a great tour that made it easy to visit Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary and Richmond from Hobart. The tour guide was knowledgeable and made sure we saw all the highlights. Bonorong is an amazing wildlife sanctuary and we were introduced to a wombat, tassie devils and koalas on a tour. We also could feed and pat the kangaroos, Richmond is a beautiful Georgian town with a photogenic bridge and a delightful bakery if you need a coffee. The guide was great about pick-ups from the hotel and drop offs after the visit.

Amazing trip and highly recommended. The tour guide, Susan, was hilarious and informative. The Richmond jail was super creepy but only because it so authentic. And how do you not want to feed kangaroos and pet all the animals?

A great afternoon. Left Hobart and drove to the wild life sanctuary. This is not a zoo. The animals are free roaming and the focus is on releasing back into the wild when possible. Really enjoyed our time here. Next we went to Richmond. This is a very charming village. Stopped for a quick lunch at the local tea house. It was delicious. Then went for a photo op of the bridge. Last we went through the jail. Wonderful time.

Really enjoyed this tour. We also saw Richmond and the prison. We happened to see a Wedding Reception photo shoot at the Gaul.

The kangaroos were up close and personal. Also saw Tasmanian devils, koalas, and emus. The Richmond tour was primarily the gaol originated in 1825 and walking around the small village.

Really enjoyed the wildlife park, especially mingling with the kangaroos. Before the tour I hadn't realized that we would be so up close and personal. The stop in Richmond was not very interesting, however.

all in all a great tour, with a great driver and other helpful staff. My only negative - would be when we arrived at park the guided tour was already underway and it was not explained to join the group. however when we got it sorted a very knowledgible guide and found the information giving very informative.good amount of time for both visiting park and richmond,

Bonorong is AMAZING! Richmond, not so much. If you can do a tour that just goes to Bonorong for less money than the combo, I'd do that. Richmond was pretty boring. My impression was that it was going to be old building after old building. Not so. There were some old buildings sprinkled around an otherwise average-looking small town. The oldest bridge in Australia in Richmond was beautiful but not worth the extra 2 hours of the tour. Also, the guide told us about a short-cut to the bridge from where he parked the bus but failed to let us know there were LOTS of steps -- we had a wheelchair!

If I could I would give this tour 10 stars. Just one gripe. ....not enough time for each stop. I could have spent the whole afternoon in either place and gone back again. A tip from the wise..... don't hang around the game warden at the wild life park for too long. He loves his job and is very enthusiastic about it, but does tend to talk for too long, which cuts down on the very limited time you have in the park. There is so much to see and only an hour in which to do it. The warden will spend about 45 minutes showing you the wombat, devil and koala and the rest you are left to your own devices. There is just not enough time. As for for Richmond. .. A lovely quaint town, but also not enough time to fully explore. Maybe the tour should be broken into two?

Enjoyed meeting the wombats, kangaroos, koala and Tasmanian Devil. The tour guide was passionate about the animals in his care. Only negative point was that there just wasnt enough time to see everything!

Was good to get out and see some of Tasmania. I enjoyed visiting Richmond. Bonorong Wildlife Park is interesting but very small. It is a good tour to do if you have spare time but not one I would rush to do at the expense of anything else and probably not a tour I would do again.

A bit pricey, but still a very cool tour that I highly recommend! Bonorong was awesome!! We got to feed and pet kangaroos, pet a koala and wombat, and see Tasmanian devils get fed. Plus we saw lizards and tons of birds (including emus and some birds that actually spoke to us!). The tour guide there was awesome and our driver was also great. The stop in Richmond was nice, but perhaps a bit too long. The old town is quaint and pretty, but there's not too much to do there.

Bonorong Wildlife Park was awesome but I wish that we could have spent at least 2 hours there instead of 1. Time at Richmond could be shorter would be good.

The wildlife Park was quite natural and allowed excellent time with interaction with the animals. The only complaint I had was that there was not enough time in Richmond to really check our the town and it's history. The tour should be extended to allow more time in the town. We got lucky and had Kevin drive us on this tour aswell, and it felt like a family trip. Even with the limited time in Richmond, it's a must do trip! Desmond
