Really good value, tour guide was great. Suited us perfectly as we were only there for a short time being on a cruise, gives you a bit of time before boarding the ship to do your own thing. Would recommend for anyone who wants a quick rundown and sightseeing of Hobart

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour and our guide was most informative. How he managed to drive that bus on those narrow streets was unbelievable. Nigel was a very informative and pleasant man.

The weather in Hobart was torrential rain. Tried to call this office and was put on hold.....No one ever responded to the call and we needed instructions to get to the meeting place......bottom line....No local contacts.....no assistance....no use of this services......very disappointed

We were taken to some unexpected places like historic women's prison. Stopped at botanical garden but due to weddings parts were blocked off. However we also saw some beautiful sights and guide had a good sense of humor.

Review by:   Lorraine T,    February 2018 Review: 2 star rating: It was OK, but could have been better
Three of us took this tour and agreed that the experience could have been better. The commentary seemed hesitant at times, and the tour guide was not always conscious of the fact that some of the participants may not be familiar with Australian expressions. The last stop on the tour was a 45 minute visit to the Botanical Gardens. This was not enough time to see the gardens so it felt more like a filler rather than an informative stop.

The tour itself was very informative and the driver was very friendly and answered all questions. Only issue was we booked specifically to go out on an old tram and instead we were on a regular coach. The driver advised that we saw additional areas as we were on the more manoeuvrable bus but it was still a disappointment. The stops themselves were good and with enough time to look around each.

Trip was ok. It would have been nice to reverse the tour the day we were there as it was raining heavily the later part of the tour and we weren't able to see the botanical gardens or the view from the high point overlooking Hobart.

Boring tour and seating on the tram was the most uncomfortable ride and the roof leaked.

Our guide Greg was a wealth of information. We saw a lot more than if we had just driven around ourselves. Thoroughly enjoyable way to get an intro to Hobart

I chose to book this rather than the hop on hop off bus and it was really good. We were given a very good oversight of key places and even stopped off at a number of places where we could follow up later on. Also had the chance to see places outside of the CBD. Good value

After a disappointing start, the bus tour itself was very good. The driver was extremely informative and the areas the bus toured was great. However, I had called up the day before to confirm the trip and was told to go to Pier 1 at 9.15am. Myself and my 79 year old mother stood outside in the freezing cold from 9.15am as advised in front of the empty bus until 9.45am. I called the company to find out what was going on and was asked where I was waiting and was I inside at the Greyhound counter? I had no idea where she meant and there was so signage anywhere to state there was an office inside. Even when I called the day before to confirm the booking, I was not told there was an office inside the building and that is where you wait. As we arrived early, we had entered the building and sat in the cafe at the front overlooking the driveway until the bus arrived. Again, there was no signs anywhere to say there was an office inside or where to wait. I was then told on the phone that their small desk is located at the other end of the building?? She put me on hold and then came back to tell me that the driver was just 'picking up his paperwork' and would be coming out to open the bus.....by this time it was 9.50am. So for those people who wish to do the tour, it is a great way to spend 3 hours touring Hobart, it was enjoyable once we eventually got on the bus, just know there is apparently a bus counter in the building somewhere. I would recommend the tour, however, the office staff seem quite disorganised, unhelpful or apologetic.

Unfortunately my Tram Tour was cancelled - I was offered a full refund or a transfer to another tour. I ended up doing a half day Richmond tour which was great!

Good overview or Hobart and its history. Driver/tour guide was interesting, with many anecdotes. Should have skipped the female prision. Nothing there. Add time to botanical gardens

I was a little disappointed in this tour. The Tram and smaller groups of only 29 enticed me. However, it was a large coach with many more people on board. In hindsight I would have taken the on of bus.

Ian the driver was a cranky man, lecturing us about being on time, and making us drink our enclosed cup of coffee before we got on the bus, spoke to us like we were 5 year olds. When I found the bus at the gardens 5 minutes before meeting time, I wasnt let on the bus, as he was eating his lunch, made us walk back to entrance and he already had an elderly non walker sitting on the bus for the 1/2 hour we were there_br/_ His commentary and knowledge was good, just didnt need to add the jokes, as he was not at all funny

A good trip to take to see more than just the city sights. The drive through Battery Park was great. Going into the Anglesea Barracks and wandering around to see all the memorials to past conflicts was excellent. The gardens at the Cascade Brewery were lovely and it was good to see the Brewery but I would have liked to have been able to tour the brewery. The Female Factory was very interesting, disappointing we were not allowed to go into the cottage but it was very interesting anyway. The drive over the Tasman bridge and then to the lookout was lovely and wandering around the Botanical Gardens was a treat just would have liked a little more time to wander the gardens.

Brilliant tram tour of Hobart with very informative and funny driver. A must if it's your first time in Hobart and have limited time but purchase on the day rather than pre book as it is cheaper.

The tour was as stated comfortable coach, and even though the driver was new to that tour she was very well informed. The only problem we encountered was some confusion in the tour departure time. We were told that Viator needed to update their information, because the time changed with the season.

This was a great Hobart tour. _br/_ The botanic gardens were amazing. They gave 45 minutes to visit the gardens. We could have spent the whole day there.

Driver Pete was funny and knowledgeable and a great guide. However it was disappointing to waste so much time at the start waiting for people who'd booked last minute. Also, it was also disappointing not to be notified earlier that we would be in small vans rather than the coach tram. But the sites chosen to visit were great.

Such a great introduction to our holiday and to Hobart! 'Captain Nigel' was a font of knowledge and several cheesy jokes but that just added to the experience : Got to see some lovely architecture, the Female Factory, Cascades and the Botanic Gardens to name a few spots. Well worth it and highly recommended.
