You start your day 7am and return to your hotel at 1130pm it was such a long day and you spend 80 of your day travelling to and from places. The kindergarten was good but not worth a stop. The terracotta warriors were very disappointing and is just really a stop to sell you jade jewellery. The panda stop was also disappointing they were sleeping and thats all u get to see would of been better to spend more time at the zoo looking around. Then you spend the next 3 hrs driving to Guangzhou having lunch at 4pm, also disappointing cold food, holes in table cloths etc, then from there we walk to the market which was good and then drive to the temple which was also good. Then you drive to the train station and wait there for an hour or so till you catch the train back to Hong Kong. The day would be much better if you caught the train both ways to Guangzhou and spent more time seeing the local attractions. The tour guides for the day were very informative and helpful. But be aware they do ask for a tip which I thought was a bit much especially how expensive the tour is and there are three of them to tip.

In Guangzhou, we had dimsum lunch which was tasteless and cold. It also caused my diarrhea after I arrived Hongkong. The jade shop should be scrapped altogether as it was a waste of time. We were rushed at Sun Yat-Sen Memorial last stop before the train station back to Kowloon and did not have time to take good photos. The local tour guide in Shen Zhen/Guangzhou was hard to understand his English. Overall, it was not a good tour.

Only negative was this is a very long day, 16 hours from start to finish, would be beneficial if you could join the tour at the ferry terminal as was 2 hours from being collected to getting on ferry. Guides were extremely knowledgeable.

Alex, Albert and Bill the driver were great. A lot of information provided in a friendly and passionate way. A long but well timed day that gives you just a taste of China. What made this trip was one wonderful guide, Alex, accompanying the group from beginning to end.

While visiting China was fascinating, the Viatour guide Michelle rushed us through every location except a very small Jade museum with one terracotta warrior that then opened up to be a Hugh jewelry store, where we were given more then enough time to shop! Our tour started out with a sales pitch to buy a map and photos of what we were going to see that day along with a set of chopsticks. Most people in our group did not buy that. Our Dim Sum lunch which was delicious was very rushed. In and out in 20 minutes. When we went to visit the Pandas at a beautiful zoo, we took a few shots of the bears and then hurried back on the bus....never to see anything else at the zoo. When we went to see a monument and wanted to go inside, she told us no one could enter because they were having an important meeting inside that day, not sure that was true since I saw tourists all around the building. All in all, visiting China was fascinating but we would have preferred a tour that was not a forced march!

Very interesting trip with knowledgeable guides Michelle and Richard who looked after us really well. The trip had lots of variety. A highlight was the kindergarten, as well as the history of the region.

Disappointing.Experience second rate.Pandas behind a small glass enclosure in a zoo.The 4 warriors yes the only 4 displayed behind glass in a 'museum',or a jade retail outlet.Kindy saw us looking through windows to see classes in action. It was a great way for a brief view of China, without the hassle of a full visa. Panda's were wonderful, lunch was great. Only fault would be the quality of the English of the Tour Guide that met us in China, could be better.

Great one day excursion from Hong Kong. As US citizens we didn't need a visa. Process to submit copy of passport in advance was simple. We spent a lot of time on the bus and the train, but if you want to get into mainland China from Hong Kong to see it and say you've been there, this is a great tour.

Long, day, well run tour. Picked us up from our hotel and dropped us off as well and that certainly was good service, saved us trying to find _br/_ where to go and finding our way home after. Our guide, Alex, carried out the tour in a very friendly and competent manner. Thanks for a great experience!

They try to do to much. We felt we weren't in any one location long enough to get a good feel for the places we were visiting. We also felt a little uncomfortable/surreal in the Kindergarten especially if you consider were you visit after which is the zoo. You are encouraged to take photos of the children as if they were a show. There is little to no need to visit the Terracotta exhibit which is only and opportunity for them to try and sell you stuff. You get two tour Guides, Alex who we met us in Hong Kong was great, he stayed with us through immigration explained the process thoroughly and helped where he could. He even came back with us on the train, however once in china be prepared for the second guide to take over and bombard you with numbers, x number of Mcds in China, X number of KFC's etc etc etc.

Overall a great day. Michelle was amazing. She was friendly and helpful and had a great sense of humor. My favorite part was seeing the pandas and the dinner and market tour in Guangzhou. I didn't care for the Xian warriors so much, but probably because I've actually been to Xian. I would recommend if you want to see a bit of mainland China.

From tour description expected more than 1 warrior and 1 horse at entrance to a gift shop. Pandas were in glass cages not natural habitat as are most other overseas pandas. Lunch poor, mostly deep fried and little variety. Guide unpleasant when I asked about the warriors. Wrong birthdate on tour manifesto caused problem at immigration. Officer realised and was pleasant going into China but lady unpleasant coming out. I called guide over to help but he refused,said to keep guiet and lady was girlfriend. Very unsettling and upsetting Also arrived back at hotel at 11.30pm two hours later than advertised. Will not use tours again. Guide needs to develop some empathy and be more concerned with guests comforts rather than trying to show how impressive he was.

This tour was great. Got to see a lot of wonderful sights and pandas and some were more active than others. Everything went very smooth and even though it was a long day it was well worth it.
