Fun but I would suggest to limit the number of people in one 4X4. Very uncomfortable ride. The food for dinner was nice and riding the camels and quads was fun too.

This is a real action packed day. In a good way! there is little down time, but did not feel rushed. We had a great English speaking guide with nick name of the general. A well educated and very interesting man. The day included prompt pick up from hotel, then to a outdoor activity centre. There we had tuition in our language which had emphasis on safety. We had a few minutes to get accustomed to riding quadbikes followed by an outing in the desert and back to the centre. A quick rest and refreshments then by 4x4 to the Bedouin camp where we had some tea, tried sand buggies and a short camel ride. There are local crafts to look at and buy if you want. Later it was bar-b-cue and the show which featured the locals and some audience participation. All during the day our guide had time to explain about the culture and answer any questions. All in all it was very good. By necessity the various activities are quite short, but as a taster and in one day, thats probably all most would want. All day a crazy and fun photographer is catching it all on video and pictures with the optional DVDs being a very reasonable price, delivered to your door. My advice to others is remember that you will be in very hot sun most of the day, so better to cover up and yes, take that headscarf! Very good value and excellent choice of local service provider by Viatours.

Not as advertised. There was no BBQ and only 30 mins in the 4x4. Much of day spent waiting round they gave camel and horse ride and quad bike ride. sent from one activity to another with long wait inbetween.

We ripped throughout the sahara with a cool driver and a knowledgable guide! It was beautiful! The village is awe striking! They do so much with so little! The driver washed in the well water and encouraged us to do so as well! We did! He's a really cool cat! Just hang in the back of the crowd with him and you'll get to do all sorts of things while the guide isn't looking He really made the trip! We also zoomed across the dessert on 4-wheelers and doom buggies!!! Bring your own scarf, the ones you can buy are overpriced and not good quality! You can get them in the markets for about 15 LE! The dinner and dinner show are also nice! The telescope is high powered and allows you to see celestial bodies with much clarity!

Probably the best trip to undertake whilst in Hurghada. There are a number of villages so this was a nice surprise to me as I had been on another one in May 2014. So the slight difference was most welcome for me. Most folks will do this via the bikes but didn't fancy that as that can be a strain on your back/body driving over such terrain. The jeep was brilliant fun and totally enclosed - so completely safe. The camel ride was something else. Ask the wife! But fun for the rest of the family. If in doubt don't try it! Otherwise have a go. It's not every day you get the opportunity. Bring plenty of water with you! They give you water but believe me you will want more!! Overall one of the highlights of our holiday. Thanks to everyone who run this trip. Very enjoyable.

Called the South Sinai office on Friday since they are closed Saturday and Sunday and no one showed up on Sunday, the day of the scheduled BBQ. Someone from our hotel finally found they had tried to pick us up in the wrong hotel and they did rearrange it for Monday. When it happend it was a great trip. I'm still not sure how the driver found his way through the roadless Arabian Desert.

The village looked like a bad movie set and it was clear that few, if any, people lived there. Those that do don't live the traditional lifestyle, as we saw plenty of tire tracks, gasoline powered equipment, cell phones, and a poorly disguised satellite dish. The few people we encountered all had their hands out for tips. The annoying camera man who was constantly standing in your view or with the camera in your face was not (as we assumed) filming a promotional video for the company, but instead was filming for the dvd you could purchase of the day. And to end things our “Bedouin BBQ dinner” was the food tucked under the van seats that had come with us on the trip. The only good part was stopping for 5 minutes of star viewing on our two hour trip back to the hotel. We heard the same complaints from people at our hotel who had taken the morning tour with the same company. Save your time and your money.

Interesting afternoon and evening. A long drive to the village but an interesting 4WD trip. Not so sure of the genuiness of the Bedoin village and nomad existence though when some of the village people are walking around with mobile phones! Our guides were so so professesional nd informative and placed a high emphasis on everybody enjoying the experience. Recommended!

A great cultural experience and so much fun bouncing over the desert and through the mountains. We met others from many parts of the world. Our guide was able to speak to all of us with a good knowledge of many languages. There were eight guests per jeep, plus the driver and the guide, and three jeeps in the convoy. We especially enjoyed the camel ride and the amazing sunset in the desert.

The tour was interesting from start to finish. The drive out to the Bedouin camp is about an hour off-road through the desert. We stopped halfway for picture taking. Once out at the camp, we were met with coffee and dates. We saw bread being baked in the sand, took a camel ride, and toured some of the community buildings of the camp. The most memorable part came next - a walk through the desert along a dried-up river bed and down a little hill to see the place where the Bedouins get their water. The tour guide stopped to explain many things along the way - the plants, the rocks. Back at the camp, we ate dinner, which tasted very good, and the atmosphere was very nice. The Bedouins then sang a song, and we left. On the way back, we stopped in the middle of the desert to get out and see the stars. The experience was unforgettable.

Absolutely a treat. No one should go to Egypt without doing this. Our driver was awesome. Only one thing, the toilet is not good. As you would expect out in the middle of the dessert. Also, the stars are something to see.
