I enjoyed these hop-on-hop-off bus tickets! One thing that must be recognized is that the busses have routes that they take. You need to have a map of those easily available at the bus booths, and be aware that if you want to go south and the bus route is headed north, you will need to stay on the bus until it takes you in the direction you want. Most busses are narrated live or via audio they provide free earphone jacks in little sealed packets. After walking everywhere, these bus rides/tours are wonderful for touring the area in comfort. The upper deck allows for great picture-taking in good weather, too. When you want to get off, they have buttons to push to tell the driver you want to get off. They stop at all the stopping places anyway, but pushing the button will give you time to get downstairs. I highly recommend the HOPO Tour bus tickets if you are relying on public transportation or walking for your visit, and even as a first-time-around-the-city orientation tour.

Brief overview of Inverness. I went to a number of the highlights later in the day so the trip for that reason was worthwhile

This is our second experience with this company. This one was again not up to expectations. The one bus ran only once every hour. We missed the first stop by just about a minute. We saw the bus as we departed a shuttle bus only to have to walk nearly a mile to get to another stop. The bus was extremely noisy, and we could not hear the narrative. This was by far the worst hop-on hop-off experience we have ever had. We have done many of them in our travels. Don't waste your time on this one. Far easier to just walk to sites within the city.

I love taking the HOHO for any city. This city is small and beautiful. Only one bus was running, so you must plan for the time if you are in a tight time frame.

Very nice!

The driver was friendly, but the sights lacked interest. There was no available online map so you have to pick one up at the main stop. The bus engine was loud so it was difficult to hear the tour recording about the town. However, showing a ticket from a Jacobite tour does get you a discount.

It was a good tour. I really like the freedom of the hop on - hop off. The only disappointment that we had was the castle. It was closed for restoration while we were there so we weren't able to go inside.

Nothing exciting. About a third of the cost of the crowded ship bus.

Quick tour around Inverness. Good to take the first day to get your bearings.

If you have never been to a city before then I would recommend one of these tours for sitting on the whole way round, just to get an idea of where things are. It is also good for if you have a bit of time to kill, or want to see stuff but are too tired or lazy to actually move - I would be the latter.

It was raining on the first round, the second wasn't too bad. There isn't a lot to see but it was worth doing.

This is a small tour, but well worth doing to get your bearings and views you might have otherwise missed

This tour was a little disappointing compared to the other hop on hop off tours we booked on this trip. There was not a live guide, only audio. The driver was not helpful or friendly. The tour only runs once an hour (which we knew) so getting on and off was not a good option. also the description implied that part of the tour was both land and water and included a 30 min. tour on LochNess. That is not true. There is a stop where boat tours leave from, but these are longer tours (2+ hours) and have to be booked and paid for well in advance. There are shorter tours on LochNess, but the departure point is a distance from Inverness and the bus does not go near there.

Inverness was a quaint little city and I thoroughly enjoyed this little city tour; in fact I took it twice :) I recommend this tour to anyone who visits Inverness.

Great overview of a surprisingly interesting city. I got the impression that this was a place where most use as a base for touring the Scottish Highlands, but Inverness was very interesting and attractive in its own right. The Hop-on-Hop tour allows you to experience this for yourself. Our tour driver was a spunky friendly lady and the recorded commentary was great. The bus also gave a very interesting and comprehensive overview of what there is to see in the city. Great value for the money to boot and highly recommend doing it as it allows us to get to discover a lot of great things about this city in a short time.

Unfortunately I ran out of time and was not able to participate in this hop-on hop-off tour, but I am sure that those who did participate had a great time doing so.

Disappointing - the automatic commentary was out of sync. Over hanging trees made it dangerous upstairs. View obstructed by overgrowth. Would come to Inverness again but not sure whether we would take the city tour bus.

My wife and I and her brother went on a British Isle cruise on Princess Cruise line._br/_ We pre-ordered the hop-on hop-off tour bus for all the ports that were available;_br/_ Dublin, Liverpool, Belfast, Glasgow, Inverness, Edinburgh and London after the end of the cruise._br/_ We also purchased “Skip the Line” at Guinness storehouse, _br/_ which was good because of the long line to purchase tickets. _br/_ We walked right up to the pre-buy line person and walked in._br/_ All the hop-off hop-on buses were very good, clean and all workers were courteous and helpful. _br/_ I don’t think they see the Viator online print off tickets very often, _br/_ but there was no problem using the computer print off tickets._br/_ I would definitely recommend the hop-on hop-off tour buses every where you go._br/_ Pre buying did not save a lot, but you did not have to worry about having local cash to buy them._br/_ I normally do not conduct a rating but everything worked out well, so I will in this case. _br/_ Gary, Renton, Washington

Quite disappointing really. The Voice Over was not in sync with the location of the bus. Therefore we had difficulty working out what the narration was relating too.
