Koh Samui is a popular boutique island that is favorite to many travelers of all kinds. Situated in the lower gulf of Thailand it offers that 'coconut' feel and boasts some of the best beaches and resorts in the country. As the name suggests this tour will take you around the island to see a number of the highlights and attractions Koh Samui has to offer.
The 'Big Buddha', Samui's most popular attraction sits 15 meters tall and is a monumental landmark on the islands north coast. Grandpa and Grandma Rocks (or locally known as 'Hin Ta and Hin Yai') are natural rock formations that raise indulgent chuckles from those who go to see them. Namuang waterfall and Nathon town are just a some other examples of the places you will visit on this tour.
Well organised trip, which we enjoyed. Various places of interest were shown to us in the time available. I would recommend this trip.

Value for money sightseeing trip. Guide was knowledgeable and his English was good and a separate was provided. Would have liked to go around the top of the island from the capital, however went back the way we have come towards our accommodation as apparent time constraints three couples on the tour - each from different resorts.

Very enjoyable tour. Air conditioned vehicle with water supplied. Our driver was great and our tour guide Nan was very knowledgeable as well as entertaining. We got to see some amaxing sights and met some wonderful people from many countries.

Excellent tour. There 8 guests and 2 tour guides on our tour. The guides were informative and very helpful. There was just enough time at each stop so that it was neither rushed nor did it become boring. This is a great tour to give you a quick oversight of the island.

Really good value for money and a lovely tour guide. The only thing we were unhappy about is seeing monkeys and elephants in captivity used for tourism. Something we don't like and were avoiding, it was not mentioned in the description as part of the tour as well as the seeing the mummified monk. Would recommend though.

Tour and guide ok but left for around an hour as bus took another guest back to hotel as was ill. Saw parts of the island but places we stopped at were very basic.

Very good tour which is worth doing to see the island. This tour is quite relaxed with just a 15minute drive between sights (I think there were 5 sights).

Nice but not more. Tour guide just explained a few basic things at every stop and then left the group alone for 20-30 minutes. At the last stop (Nathon) we were left for 60 minutes with and #34;here are some shops and restaurants, have fun and #34;, no recommendation. I and #39;d say: Ok to get around for the first time.

Poor. No itinerary discussed or maps distributed. Difficult to understand guide. Very little information given about the island or particular sites we visited. We spent 30 minutes at the gold painted Buddha when 10 would have done. The main sites were visited but felt that we could have taken a taxi around the island for all the information that we were given. A pleasant guide but felt that this was a relatively new experience for her. Wouldn't recommend this unless looking for a cheap taxi service around the island.

We saw loads of places, and it was good value for money. However, the tour was totally ruined by the sights of animal cruelty. You are taken to a Monkey 'Show' were you are shown how the monkeys are trained to collect coconuts. They are chained up and forced to face forward for tourists whilst sitting on their arms. Also, there is also an elephant trek. The elephants are kept in a tiny pen and are stressed you can see them rocking back and forth. Lose the monkeys and the elephants and you have the perfect tour!!

Very pleasant tour. We stopped at several interesting places and go to see a good portion of this island. For the price, I would recommend it highly. It gives you just a sample of some things that otherwise would require a larger and time investment.

Myself and my husband found this tour very good. It was a nice way to spend a morning and we learnt plenty of info from our tour guide Aom I think!. There was just 3 of us on the tour so it was great to have all of the guides attention. We stopped at a lovely viewpoint looking back toward Chaweng and from there continued on to the Grandfather and Grandmother rocks at Lamai. We then made a very short stop at a coconut farm to taste the local produce and saw a few monkeys who were trained to retrieve the coconuts from the trees. We then when inland to visit the mummified monk and on to the waterfall. We also stopped at Nathon where our guide gave us helpful tips for markets. We finished up at Big Buddah but when we arrived we were not allowed up the steps due to maintenance. Aom took us to Wat Pai Leam instead which was nice and unexpected. _br/_ We thought this trip offered great value for money and we saw parts of Samui we otherwise would not have. It definitely helped having a knowledgable and funny guide. Would recommend!

Value for money 40 aus each to see most of the sights in koh samui. It was a very hot day so very grateful for air conditioned van. Need more group interaction and encourage mingling between tourists. English guide spoke good english. Bottle of water should be provided as a nice bonus.

Very nice tour. Guide was funny and informative. Able to tell us lots about the culture and folklore of the people and island. Places we visited were good with adequate amount of time at each spot. Was nice to also get in a bit of retail therapy at the end of tour when we stopped at Nathon for over an hour. Even had time for a glass of wine at the irish pub!

My husband and I completed this tour on our second day in KS. It was a great way to see the Island and get our bearings. We loved Nathon and all it had to offer. Would I do it with this company again....probably not. I found the Tour Guide was not informative enough. He really only answered questions when we asked and did not offer much additional information. He advised it was our lucky day as we were the only ones on the tour and usually there are more people who ask too many questions??? At our last stop (Nathon) he asked us how long we will be so I asked him how long have we got? He advised to be back within the hour and earlier will be better. Needless to say we spent the entire hour there. We were then dropped back to our Hotel which was ealier than scheduled. Overall ok but not great.

Then this can hardly be called a tour... Its merely a transport which brings you to a certain point and give you certain time to stay there. Barely ANY information was given and I mean it. In the end the 'guide' said he is still studying english, as if we didn't realize that before.... Do realize this is not a tour and do not expect to hear any information.

Unfortunately the guide did not speak very good english, although obviously much better than my Thai!!! She did not give much information about each place, and after a very quick comment left us to it. We were just dumped in a car park in Nathon for 45 mins at the end of the tour before return to our hotel which was not what was expected. Was not one of the best Viator Tours I went on during my holiday.

Can't for the life of me see how this tour is do highly rated. It promises a 5 hour tour of the island whilst taking in a few of the main attractions. Instead you're taken to their HQ where they kept us for over 2 hours showing us circus sideshows whilst badgering for tips.

Had to call as we had not been picked up, finally an hour after pick up time a ride in back of a ute arrived. Where he took us to a safari camp for elephant riding, monkey show and fish spa. this is not stated was very disappointed. This tour was not guided as stated but rest of tour was in a van.

Tour was disappointing, Guides did not tell us anything about the local history or give us a run down each time we visited an attraction - so we learnt little about Koh Samui._br/_
Day hot, no refreshments offered and got dropped off to have lunch around 2pm in the day to be back at the van at 3pm. _br/_
Guide fell asleep in the van all in all a disappointing day. _br/_

Fantastic trip round the island. We ended up getting a private tour which was brilliant. Our guide Mame was very informative and the driver Phume was lovely. We got to spend as much time as we wanted at each stop which was brilliant.

Half day tour. Most of it was travelling with maybe about ten to fifteen minutes in each place. It could be improved by the tourist staying in the locations a lot longer. Not a bad tour but it has room to improve. If you want a quick tour then this is great for that plus we only had four people in the tour which was really good.

It is really really hot at Koh Samui and with this trip you can see in in an air conditioned van which is always a plus. There are so many places you are taken to and you virtual see all of the main attractions in 5 hours. Plus there is a shopping opportunity at the end of the tour. Our guide was great, he helped my husband with some recommendations for tailors.

Excellent trip, so much to see. Drivers always on time, so much information given. Mumified monk, elephant and monkey show. Not sure about treatment of the monkeys. Mother and father rocks. All well worth the trip. Sadly we lost all our photos when camera fell into the sea.

DISGRACEFUL...so appalled by what we saw we walked off the tour before we even got started. Got picked up in some battered up old open top Jeep thing, then taken to the rendezvous point where we were told we would be getting Elephant trekking, Elephant show and a Monkey show, we explained that this wasn't our tour but were told it was for free. The holding area had a baby elephant tied up in a pen no bigger than my living room just pacing left to right (horrible to see) you could see the "show" area for the elephants with goal posts so we refused to watch. The Monkey show followed so we gave that a try, absolutely abominable, the animal handlers / presenter were all smoking right next to these animals and in front of everyone this part is listed by viator as as "see the elephants and monkeys demonstrate their daily work", when did Elephants play football or hoopla, or even worse when did Monkeys in the jungle play Basketball, crawl like a soldier or ride a tricycle. We left the so called show (Circus) half way through with my wife in tears, no idea where we were but were so outraged we told the staff and went. Viator should be ashamed at being associated with such a disgraceful place.

This was a good introduction to the island of Koh Samui and covered most of the major sights and tourist areas. The guide was also very friendly and good fun. Having said that he didn't actually tell us much background to the island itself.

First class tour. Guide and driver were excellent. Our guide (Tan) was very informative and he gave my husband, who is blind, a lot of assist ance. He even took some of our group to where they could have an elephant ride, even though that was not on itinerary. Nothing was too much trouble._br/_
Trip lasted nearly 2hrs longer than advertised and was excellent value for the price. Met other Australians doing similar tour who only had a driver and were just dropped off at the different spots and were given no information at all.
