Kuala Lumpur By Night Tour

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Kuala Lumpur comes alive in a blaze of multi-colored lights when night falls. Visit Chinatown and stroll through its popular night markets in search of bargain prices with a guide. Then enjoy an international buffet dinner while you watch a cultural spectacle at an authentic Malaysian restaurant as traditional Malaysian dancers take the stage. Complete your evening with return transport to your hotel or experience the nightlife of KL by dancing till the wee hours of the morning.

After hotel pickup by comfortable coach, start your evening in Kuala Lumpur with a guided walk through colorful Chinatown. Explore rows of stalls at the night markets, each with its own specialty goods — including clothing, accessories, toys and perfumes — sold at bargain prices.

Marvel at the illuminated skyscrapers above as Malaysian night vendors sell their wares. Take part in the local life as you stroll the lanes and haggle for items with help from your guide.

Enjoy some Chinese delicacies before continuing to Saloma Restaurant. After taking your seat, savor a sumptuous buffet for dinner while watching a spectacular array of traditional Malaysian dances performed on stage during the show. Menus rotate weekly (see sample below), but always feature authentic Malaysian and international dishes including a selection of salads, soups, appetizers, main courses and desserts. (On occasion, the venue changes to Songket Restaurant.)

Afterward, you have the option to be dropped off at Bintang Walk, a trendy nightspot, or head back to your Kuala Lumpur hotel for a night’s rest.

I paid to tour HOWEVER, what I received was 5 minutes ride to the China town where we were dumped and were told that we will be picked up in an hour. After one hour we were picked up and again driven to the Cultural center where we ate and watched Malaysian dances after which we were again picked up and taken back to our hotel. This was NOT Kuala Lumpur by Night Tour! I bought this tour in order for my husband to be able to see KL as this was the ONLY opportunity to see it. WE WERE CHEATED. GREAT RIP OFF, Anyone can do this for less than 15 cabs are very cheap and show and meal are inexpensive too.

I was very fortunate to have my own driver/guide, Levin. This meant I could stroll through the markets at my own pace with someone by my side. I enjoyed the show and felt the performers certainly made me feel welcome but the process with the food and drinks needs more explanation and better service.

A great tour guide, very informative and chatty. Chinatown is great, plenty of time to wander and shop. Be prepared to barter. The meal and show at Saloma Theatre......show was fantastic, food not ideal for fussy diners, drinks rather sparse...but well worth going for the location and show.

A tour you could do on your own without a tour guide.... dropped off at the night markets made our own way around ... then to a restuarant which the food was not that pleasant .. but depends what you like .... on the upside the show we watched at the restaurant was fun ... we went back to the markets by ourselves again another day....

We had bad luck on this trip. Traffic was very bad(we were there during Ramada) and just by going to china town took an hour. We were able to do only china town and dinner + show._br/_ Tour guy was big plus, he gave us lot of information during long drives. Dinner was disappointment, but the show there was ok._br/_ Not worth of money – maybe on a night when traffic is not that bad.

The tour guide CHE AI was excellent, always glad and plenty of sense of humour and I liked the visit to ChinaTown area, however the very bad aspect is the awful food in the Saloma restaurant! Please change to another restaurant!

Not much of a tour, unless you consider visiting the market at Chinatown a worthy attraction. (Lots of unreal Prada bags and Rolex watches at unreal prices.) The highlight is the dinner, which featured plenty of local cuisine and folk dancing. Don't be shy -- you might be asked to perform on stage.

Very disappointing. Since your service would not pickup us up at our airport hotel, the entire experience costed us more than we had budgeted for. The driver was OK, his vehicle was sub-standard, the worst of the 14 cities we have visited on this trip. The show was less than average and so was the food. Best part of the tour seeing the Twin Tours. Our overall experience was not memorable.

Great guide and much more than we excepted for our money. The buffet dinner and cultural show was amazing. Good introduction to Malaysia and our tour to Borneo

We were not very impressed with the first part of the tour, the guide gave no introduction as to the itinerary and barely spoke at all until we reached Chinatown where we were dropped off and left to ourselves to wander around. This was not a problem, itself, however we did not enjoy being hasssled by all the stall vendors trying to sell copy watches, DVDs, clothing etc - it was a real tourist trap. A more suitable venue to take vistors would be recommended._br/_ The second part of the tour was excellent, this was the dinner and cultural show that was given, it was enjoyable and well organized.

My driver was excellent- on time and made sure that I was able to get some good pictures of Petronas Towers at night. The only downside was that I was the only one booked on the tour so I was by myself for the night since the driver didn't join me (obviously). On the other hand, I was extremely happy that the company did not decide to cancel the tour because it was just me. Then I would have been really bummed! The show was great and the food was pretty good too. I liked that there were a lot of vegetarian options for me.

We surprised as we thought not apply a private tour but the night tour just us, 3 persons. The car really comfort use Mercedes. Guide good hospitality, a good driver and good knowledge for all places we passed by. We liked Alor street ...so many food stalls .. interesting place. China Town also interesting. We tried shabu-shabu and grilled sea food...very nice and cheap ..most the sauce, delicious ! Enjoy shopping some souvenirs and try some fruits. The dinner at Sri Melayu Restaurant with many kind of traditional food with very good performance local dances ..really good and memorable. We enjoy the dinner until the last performance and have chance taken photo with the dancers. During back to the hotel our guide gave us photo stop for the twin tower PETRONAS ...we're so happy. KL at night specially the twin tower is amazing !

Our flight was late so we met this driver/guide at a different location. The company was cooperative. The malay dances and food were good. Tour of chinatown okay. Again at least we weren't taken to an expensive store and expected to buy stuff that cost hundreds of dollar under the guise of handmade.

We did this tour NYE. The guide was on time and very nice/informative. We went to the Chinese markets before the show and it was great - our type of shopping - bargaining etc. Our guide did warn us before about the inflated prices and that we should start bargaining about 70% lower than what they asked plus they were all genuine rip offs :) We didn't find this stop long enough so we went back the next night and continued shopping. The dance and dinner was great - my husband finds traditional dancing a tad boring but because this dance was from all cultures and kept moving he found it entertaining. Dinner is buffet style and was extensive however if you can't eat curries/spicy food (like me) then your choices are limited. We really enjoyed this tour and would recommend it.

Dinner was quite good at the restaurant and performance was interesting. Our guide got us a front row seat which was great. Got us hooked onto Chinatown markets though by getting great bargains!

Our tour guide was great and informative - spent 1 hour at night market then a temple then onto show and dinner. Show was really good but the buffet meats were dry - sweets were better. Overall worth doing.

Due to protest at American embassy did not go to China town but guide took us to Petronas towers instead and took us to China town on another tour. China town was a big disappointment nothing like Hong Kong or Singapore. Very cramped and persistent . salespersons from India. Cultural meal was fine but we found the audience very rude and inconsiderate. We actually had to tell them to sit down as we could not see the dances.

What a surprise this was. Dinner at the cultural centre was great and they had traditional dancers - if you wear shorts be prepared to wear a sarong (provided at the restaurant).

Basically a shopping trip followed by dinner show. You don't see anything beyond one market. Buffet was atrocious. Either bone, fat or gristle or just inedible. The show was equally poor; a form of Indonesian dancing to techno music. The only redeeming part of the show are two girls performing traditional dance, to traditional music which is very good.

Loved this tour, particularly the buffet dinner and entertainment. The visit to China Town market was great, managed to pick up a couple of bargains in the time we spent there. Would recomment this tour if the dinner is organised at the same venue.

You are dropped off in China Town with upto an hour and a half to browse and shop. The guide advised us on the best method of bargaining. Afterwards we drove through areas of the city, got some good photos of the Petronas Towers and KL Tower all lit up. Then on to dinner at a Malay resturaunt with a show included. The dinner was buffet style. Our guide took us around and decribed each of the dishes and helpfully pointed out those with peanuts, as one of the group was allergic. We helped ourselves to a bit of everything and we on dessert when the band stopped playing and the dancers appeared. The dancing was not all Malay, as Malaysia has historical influences from India Burma and Thailand. At the end they ask some of the audience to participate in oneof the dances. Great fun. We were not sure the children would like this tour but they loved it and got up on stage for the dancing.

The guide was very cooperative and friendly. The part of tour in china town was not exciting .however the dance show was the actual essence of the whole tour. Food were so so and at the end making picture with the dancers was amazing.

Rather disappointed as to the nature of this tour--do not think it was value for money, but it did not help that there was only three of us on it, so therefore no atmosphere--I could have arranged this independantly just as well for a fraction of the cost.

Excellent - what can I say? Very efficient local tour guide, personable, knowledgable, and friendly. Chinese Markets (Petaling Street) still the same - loud, bustling, crazy vendors touting for your business, bit overwhelming for first timers (my son). The cultural restaurant venue (name escapes me) was great. The food was in abundance, huge selection of all Asian cuisines and the Malaysian dancing was just fine (for the tourists). We had front centre stage table and everything was perfect. Georgina Walton, Brisbane.
