Explore the historical El Dorado Canyon like never before on an exhilarating off-road adventure on an ATV or UTV from Las Vegas! All-terrain vehicles are the perfect way to tour the back canyons of this remote and long-forgotten area, plus you'll take a walking tour of the spooky Techatticcup gold mine.
On this exciting day trip from Las Vegas you'll ride your ATV or UTV into extreme mountain terrain, surrounded by cactus forest and with towering, multicolored rock formations as a backdrop. Riding under the big open sky is an awesome experience, flanked by the Colorado River and mountain ranges leading to the Grand Canyon!
On your tour you'll be driving a fully automatic, easy-to-handle off-road vehicle that's an absolute blast to ride. After a safety and operations orientation, beginners and experienced riders alike will be ready to hit the trail with a professional guide.
You'll also take a stroll into the pages of history with a walking tour of the Techatticcup mine. Venturing deep into this gold mine, which is rumored to be haunted, you'll visit three deep shafts and learn how the miners labored feverishly on their quest for gold.
Your meal stop in the Old West Town will also take you back in time, at the foundations of one of the original 19th-century mining camps. Enjoy a picnic lunch under the covered pavilion while you hear the sound of the natural spring which attracts big horn sheep and a variety of desert wildlife. Look closely and you might see creatures that otherwise blend into the natural landscape of the desert.
Our guide Sherman picked us up at our hotel early and whisked us out to our starting point. All of the employees and owners of the store were great and made our experience fantastic. I would highly recommend this trip for anyone! Take a quad, it is way more fun than the UTV!

Tour was awesome! Enjoyed every moment. Ed, my tour guide, was very kind as I am not the most skilled ATV rider. He was also quite knowledgeable about the area and answered all of my questions thoroughly. Having had a long flight the day before, I appreciated that it was only a short ride from the Strip. Morning pick up was quite punctual. Worth the money.

A well organised trip from the start with excellent communication confirming hotel pick up time the day before. I was with my teenage son, this trip appealed as wanted to do something adventurous and adrenaline fuelled which we certainly got! 8.45am pick up and approximately a 45 min drive to El Dorado Canyon. We stopped en route for a drink/rest room break to a quirky place with loads of cool memorabilia with time to explore and stretch our legs. Then a 2 min drive up the road we were sorted with gloves and helmets. We were in a group of 8 people. To start we warmed up on a trail to get used to our atv's. It was our first time ever on an atv, my son did great but I found driving a little more challenging and was rather slow compared to everyone else. I had the option to ride passenger in a double. This did not lower expectations as it was just as fantastic driving as being a high speed passenger. We had breaks during the atv trail stopping off at some old buildings and caves and were given cold bottled water which was great. Staff ratio was great as we had someone lead the group and someone at the back of the trail so everyone was together. On heading back to the mine we had a fresh Subway lunch, drink, crisps and cookie which went down well. We were then given some history on the different piece's they had on show from an aeroplane to cars and old mining equipment they used to use. Some pieces had been used in films and there was a wedding ceremony happening in the afternoon. I think we spent about 20 minutes in the mine, it has been well looked after and was nice and cool. Then it was time to head back to Las Vegas._br/_ In conclusion it was very dusty from the trail and I wish I had taken a scarf to cover my nose and mouth. This is a great day trip with lunch and water included. I would highly recommend it!

This was a great day in the desert! After being picked up from our hotel, we drove approximately 30 minutes to get to our ATV’s near Techatticcup mine. Once there we had some time to look around at all the old stuff & peruse the gift shop. I had no idea 3000 Miles to Graceland was filmed there! We then rode our ATV’s a little over 2 hours on rough terrain. Our guide Chad was great at giving us breaks when riding and giving us a lot of history lessons! After lunch, we took the gold mine tour where again our guide Chad gave us a plethora of information! Highly recommend this tour to anyone who likes history, the old west, and who likes to go fast!

This was a birthday present from my wife and what a great one it was! We got to ride our ATVS for hours and enjoyed lunch in what feels like an old west ghost town! There were some great antiques around the property and plenty of photo opportunities! Our guide Chad was the best guide I’ve had on a tour; providing loads of history lessons throughout the day & tailoring the tour to our groups needs/wants! Remember to bring cash for the gift shop and to tip your guide as this trip was definitely worth every penny spent!

It was Great. Our tour guide Chad picked us up from our hotel and took us to where the base was. We got on the ATV and #39;s shortly after, they were easy to ride full auto. We road for approx 2 hours on rough terrain which was fun. The walking tour of the mine was good to see very informative. Recommended!

I very much enjoyed this trip. Justin read our groups abilities well and adapted the trip accordingly. I feared that it would be boring and sedate but it was anything but. It was challenging and fun. I would have no hesitation in recommending this trip.

We where really exiting about our trip, we loved it it was great. The only thing was that we needed cash for some fuel or something. We new about that cost, but we thought that was also taken on the card when we paid. So in the future, if this could be taken care of as a part of the payment in front, it would have been great. Thank you. Best regards Cathrine

Our tour guide, Bruce, was awesome! The tour was a lot of fun and seeing the Gold Mine and old mining town was very interesting! I highly recommend this tour! The only negative thing is that the ground you ride the ATVs on is very bumpy. My husband and I did not care for that - but it was still a lot of fun.

Awesome quad bike tour, great fun cruising round the Mojave desert. Thank you to Bruce who was such a nice guy, really friendly and knowledgeable and a great sense of humor. They accommodate everyone so don't worry about your level of experience it all happens at your own pace. A look inside the abandoned gold mine was great fun and really interesting. Will be recommending this to everyone! Must do in Vegas!

A great value and worth every penny!!!

If I could give this a 0, I would. This is nothing more than driving around a track littered with old tires, an old mattress, and trashed buildings which is leased by the tour company. The tour is a short drive through the state park in a van.

We had a great time. The tour guide was fantastic and whent out of his way to make sure everyone was ok and enjoying the day. We returned to our hotel head to toe covered in desert sand - but with a wide grin on our faces. Most fun event of our whole holiday!!

Awesome fun !! The ATV ride was fun. It was good for beginners, maybe not as aggressive a drive as I would have liked as an experienced rider, but the views were great, and was still fun, the guide made sure to keep everyone together . The tour guide was great, pointed out lots of interesting facts, very knowledgeable. The gold mine tour was amazing, very interesting, it was a definite highlight. Also, loved the ghost town house and all the cool old stuff to look at. I would recommend this for anyone looking for a real adventure outside of Vegas. This was my favorite part of our Vegas trip.

Too many things went wrong on this trip. They sent us on the wrong tour, unprofessional van driver, (he drove reckless---speeding, tailgating, cutting of drivers, answering his phone, etc), van would put the heater on every time driver accelerated. If you tip over your ATV, you have to pay $150 even if it is not you fault. They don't tell you that until you get there and if you don't sign, you don't ride. We did not get to go to a gold mine, which is why I signed up for this tour.
