Grand Canyon West Rim and Hoover Dam Day Tour from Las Vegas with Optional Skywalk
USD $143.00

Grand Canyon West Rim and Hoover Dam Day Tour from Las Vegas with Optional Skywalk

Las Vegas, United States of America

Hit the highway out of Las Vegas and spend the day touring the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam. On this day trip you'll have four hours at the Grand Canyon, with the option of walking on the popular Grand Canyon Skywalk for panoramic 360-degree views.

Leaving Las Vegas behind, you'll enjoy an approximate 15-minute Hoover Dam Photo Stop from the pedestrian walkway along the new Hoover Dam Bypass Bridge! You'll then travel through the ancient Joshua Tree Forest en route to the West Rim of the Grand Canyon - the road gets a little dusty and bumpy here!

Once at the West Rim you will have 3 hours of unguided time at the Grand Canyon. It's up to you to spend as little or as long as you wish at each of the following attractions.

Top Attractions:

  • The spectacular Grand Canyon Skywalk (if option selected) where you can take a walk over the edge of the canyon on a glass bridge
  • Eagle Point Indian Village - explore Native American history and culture with replica dwellings and performances of traditional dance
  • Hualapai Ranch Wild West show
  • Lunch at the Guano Point, Cowboy Cookout or the Skywalk Cafe (vegetarian options are available)
  • Spectacular views over the Colorado River at Guano Point and panoramic views of the Grand Canyon from Eagle Point
  • Complimentary Grand Canyon West Express shuttle bus
Travel time between Las Vegas to the Grand Canyon is around three hours each way. Your driver will provide an expert commentary along the way, returning you to Las Vegas in time for a night out on the town. Motor coaches are climate controlled and equipped with restrooms, reclining seats, video monitors and over-sized windows.

Helicopter - Boat Combo Upgrade:
Why not complete your Grand Canyon experience with a thrilling helicopter flight to the floor of the Grand Canyon. You will be flown 4,000 feet to the base of the Canyon where you will board a pontoon boat for an approximate 15-minute ride on the Colorado River. Enjoy the Grand Canyon Skywalk (if option selected) and the panoramic view.

Bonus Offer!
All paying passengers will receive a voucher allowing admission to Marvel Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N at the Treasure Island Hotel and Casino for up to four (4) passengers. All tickets are subject to a $5 service fee payable at the time of redemption. Please note: Offer is subject to change.

Excellent until the very end. We were told we would be dropped off at a different location than our hotel, which was advertised. When we complained we were transferred from bus 5620 to 5613 which was extremely HOT. Cool air not cold came out of the vents but the 111degree temperature outside was cooler than the bus! By the time we rode several blocks we could barely breathe. Most uncomfortable.

The trip is basically a taxi service to the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam. You are on your own there. There is no guide or anything of this sort. Great sights to visit though.

Good tour, unfortunately it rained the day we took the tour April 9, 2016 and we DID NOT get on the Skywalk because it was closed due to the rain and pending thundershowers. The bus ride was ver entertaining becasue of the driver, he kept us informed and was very knowledgeable. I would hightly recommend this tour.

OMG! What an amazing sight to see the Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon (west rim). Both are breathtaking. Pictures and words cannot possibly describe the beauty and color at the Grand Canyon

Absolutely astounding surroundings. It feels as if you’re in another world - completely surreal. Loved it - just a pity that there’s not enough time to visit all 3 stations. Would certainly recommend this tour. Just one thing - don’t expect great food because it’s not - More like prison issue food but edible especially if you’re hungry.

Trip to and from was made very enjoyable by Thomas our driver. _br/_ He also offered great advice as to how to budget time. Meal at Guano Pont was delicious.

We chose the West Rim w/ Helicopter, Boat and Skywalk. Our Driver Thomas was awesome. He had a wealth of knowledge to share and a sense of humor that made our 3-hour ride to the Canyon very enjoyable. Once there, the helicopter ride down to the base of the Canyon for a boat ride on the Colorado River was an experience of a lifetime with amazing views! The Skywalk was breathtaking!

To start, our bus driver Thomas, was just awesome! He was so witty, funny and answered every question we had. He explained everything that was going to happen throughout our day, very thoroughly! Our tour was a lot of fun and the West rim is beautiful!

Good experience overall but please make sure to he careful with the photographers on the sky walk. I had my pictures taken and paid for only to find that more than half of them are unsatisfactory as the photographers take the pictures in a rush as many tourists are in line.

We took a day tour to west rim from Las Vegas. The tour is good and offers interesting views on the way to the Canyon and great views at the west rim. I feel views from Guano point are much better then from Eagle point including the Sky walk ._br/_ Take a warm jacket with you as it can get very cold and windy at the west rim in a hurry with out prior warning. Food available at west rim eating places is not good and little selection, better take food you like with you. The bus was comfortable and the driver Thomas was very entertaining and knowledgeable . Trip is worth the effort and cost will recommend.

My wife and I totally enjoyed the Grand Canyon tour from start to finish and were especially impressed with Gray Line who arranged for us to be picked up at our hotel rather than having to get to another location much further away by 5:55 AM as we were originally advised that pick-up was only available at certain hotels of which ours was not one. They also gave us an unsolicited wake up call to ensure we'd be on time on the day of our trip. The guide/bus driver Anthony was very friendly and provided many interesting facts along the way to the West Rim. Would recommend the tour to anyone visiting Las Vegas.

Great trip when you include the helicopter and pontoon boat ride. At 200/pp it is well worth it. While the stops along the tour were breathtaking, getting into the canyon itself was a life event. The Skywalk was neat, but in the end pretty quick and if you aren't bad with heights, it is no biggie. Without the chopper/boat, probably rate it a 4-star instead.

This is the tour to get if you only have one day to visit the Grand canyon. The stop at the Hoover Dam is only 20 minutes. You see it, take a picture then go. People that took the helicopter ride came 90 minutes late, so we were all late. Be mindful of others if you are doing those. Great trip!

Felix was our Driver, he was so nice and told us all about Grand Canyon West rim and how to go about the place. There was no tour guide but trust me the narration provided on the bus and the map was just enough. It was fun.

The return trip from Grand Canyon was supposed to start at 3:30 PM, but the bus driver waited one and half hour for one couple who did not respect anyone's else time._br/_ This ruined the whole experience as everyone in the bus was waiting. There should be a policy that the bus should leave at a specific time. Waiting more than an hour and wasting everyone's time should not be accepted.

Magnificent. The Grand Canyon was great however the stop at Hoover Dam was a little short. There was only just enough time for a few photos. But still worth it.

I loved this trip! We had a great tour guide - he showed us extra things! The ranch thats western style wasn't great and the food was awful! But the views were amazing and there's 3 different sites to go to once you get there! Very comfy coach and didn't feel the time on it. Hoover dam was a wow!

First off let me say the Grand Canyon was absolutely amazing, fantastic views from the two separate look out points. The skywalk was great but much smaller than I had though. They told us the tour was 12 hours but don't tell you most is sitting on a bus and we didn't even see the Hoover Dam at all!

Breathtakingly beautiful. Gave 4 starts because we opted for a helicopter ride through the canyon and the helicopter people forgot about us-wasting an hour of our time at the Grand Canyon. However, once they got us on the helicopter, the rest of the tour went magnificently. We didn't do the skywalk because we didn't have time thanks helicopter people

Amazing tour to the West Rim! Early pickup and a fairly long bus ride but, well worth it once you arrive at the Grand Canyon. Despite being somewhat afraid of heights we loved the Skywalk portion of the tour and the breathtaking views it provided. Thomas, our driver, was amazing and provided a fantastic experience. We would highly recommend this tour.

1. It's a very long drive_br/_ 2. You have absolutley no time at the Hoover Dam. _br/_ 3.Your photo op at the dam is from about a mile away IF you are able to climb a lot of stairs._br/_ 4. Actual time to view/walk the canyon west rim area is about 2 1/2 hours at 3 different sites that aren't within walking distance of each other._br/_ 5. You don't get to see much of the Grand Canyon._br/_ 6. The promised lunch buffet was not a buffet at all with very little food. _br/_ 7. You could not take pictures from the skywalk, you have to buy theirs._br/_ 8. Supper stop on the Interstate was not good. No time for hot food which was available. You had to get snacks and get back on the bus._br/_ 9. Always waiting on late people._br/_ 10. Expensive._br/_ I would recommend renting a car and driving there. Bring your own food go where you want.

Hated not to give this tour 5 stars, because seeing the Grand Canyon up close would actually be 10 stars. First, the good things ... The bus was comfortable and stopped twice going a quick photo stop at the Hoover Dam and a pit stop and one pit stop on the return trip. Amazing views from the two of the three stops once we got to the Grand Canyon -- Guano Point and Eagle Point where the Skywalk is. A third stop is the Hulapai Ranch. The Grand Canyon is simply breathtaking, of course! I would say the Skywalk is definitely worth doing only because it's like the When in Rome... type of thinking. Something you gotta do! It does take a little more time to get through it if you want a professional photo because you can't take any electronics on the skywalk, so if you want a pic, you have to wait in the photo line. You could get through the Skywalk in 10 minutes without the photo otherwise we waited about 20 minutes just to get to the front of the line. Guano Point, to me, is where I would've preferred to spend most of my time. You get about four hours to explore, but this is where my problem lies. It's the logistics/organization issue. About four hours to explore, but you're spending a lot of that time on the shuttles between the three stops, so plan each stop, and allow time to get back to the bus at the end. Before we got off the gray line bus, the driver told us to head to an area to get our tickets and shuttles. Wrong! Turned out that HE should've given us the tickets we needed to board the shuttles, so we had to get back on our bus and he went to get the tickets for us and then we headed to the shuttle. If it wasn't for me reading previous reviews before I booked this tour, I would not have known what we were to do. The driver Juan did not explain anything! He was also a little hard to understand. He should've mentioned that we get a ticket for our meal, which is only at the Hulapai Ranch which is one of the three stops. And really explain something about each stop. Other than the lunch at the ranch which was very good, I wouldn't waste much time at the ranch, and proceed to the other two stops Eagle Point and Guano Point.

Both my husband and I took this tour and if you don't want to drive yourself to the Grand Canyon this would be a good way to go. The drawbacks...We stayed at the Venetian and were told to be at the Ground Transportation Level at 6AM. Someone from Grey Line tours called us at 5AM to make sure we were up. When we showed up at 6AM, there was no bus driver. He showed up at 6:10AM and then proceeded to wait an additional 20 minutes for a couple who never showed. I asked him if we were going to wait for every late person and he said yes...and that the Grey Line central station located just past Mandalay Bay did not open until 7AM anyway. The next hotel stop was the same wait for the late person thing and again they did not show up. Once we got to the central meeting point sans the late people, we were divided and sent up to their counter for wristbands and then you could purchase a breakfast snack at their fast food counter. We missed the first West Rim bus because of the no show late people and made the second one. Our driver was friendly enough but there was another company rep wearing a blue oxford shirt who sat in the front seat and spoke to no one on the trip there and back...his function is still unknown to us. As we drove, a canned history of the Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon was played. When the history ended, a Jackie Chan movie was played. No comments on the Hoover Dam...very short stop but could see and read about it all on signs in the 30 minutes allotted. When we reached the Grand Canyon, we were split into two group...helicopter tour one way and skywalk/just viewing the other. We were told to be back at the bus at 3:30PM. There was no explanation as to the different stops on the Grand Canyon bus there are 3 btw...first is an old western town, second is Eagle Point where the Skywalk is located and third is Guano Point, no explanation as to the Mountain time zone so people would show up at 3:30PM, no instruction as to where one could use their lunch voucher. A nice woman in the Skywalk gift store clued us in on lunch and her recommendation as there are a few places to eat. We did the Skywalk and it was amazing...nothing can take away from the majesty of the Grand Canyon. Upon arrival at the bus at the end of the day, we found our driver and the man in the blue oxford shirt asleep inside. Once they awoke and let us board we again waited 20 minutes for a late couple...unbelievable! The ride back to Vegas included the second half of the Jackie Chan movie but not a word from our driver. Drop off could have been better. My husband and I were dropped off at the back of Harrah's and had to walk from there back to the Venetian. Doesn't seem like much but remember we had been up since 5AM and walked quite a bit during the day. Our driver did do a good job of driving but really a canned piece on gratuities...that's how the drivers make their money... before stepping off the bus into his waiting hand was very distasteful. _br/_ So, in conclusion, if you don't want to drive yourself to the Hoover Dam or the Grand Canyon, this is a good way to go but it is not without aggravation that could have been alleviated by Grey Line Tours.

Everything went well. We would have preferred to spend more time in visiting the Canyon, because it was so amazing! There are three_br/_ stops in the Canyon: we avoided the first one a little touristic village, we went to the Skywalk, and we could spend more time at the last stop where we had a 360 and extraordinary view. The driver was not so well-prepared, and on our way back to Las Vegas he stopped at a souvenir shop which was not so interesting. We would have rather stayed half an hour admiring the Canyon.
