Red Rock Canyon Sunset Horseback Ride and Barbeque

Red Rock Canyon Sunset Horseback Ride and Barbeque

Las Vegas, United States of America

Get ready for a memorable horseback ride along a winding trail through the narrows on the Red Rock Canyon floor with your experienced wranglers. Watch for wild burros, jackrabbits and desert lizards along the trail before gathering around the campfire for a true western barbeque meal.

Enjoy the real West! Ride for 90-minutes on horseback with a guide along trails like the ones cowboys rode a hundred years ago. Set your eyes on the dramatic and colorful walls of Red Rock Canyon, as well as deep gorges from high atop a desert mountain.

Stop as the sun begins its daily descent, and you'll see the lights of the Las Vegas Valley far below. Then, it's back to camp beneath the moon and stars, guided by the light of the campfire, for a freshly prepared BBQ Dinner with your choice of a 16 oz. New York Strip Steak (cooked to your preference), grilled chicken or grilled salmon.

Your dinner will be served with crisp green salad with dressing, baked beans, baked potato (served with butter), corn on the cob, beverages (soft drinks and water) and Cowboy S'mores for dessert! Cowboy S'mores are marshmallows sandwiched between chocolate chip cookies. They taste best when served at night around the campfire.

Enjoy live entertainment, cowboy poetry and country western singing, before returning back to Las Vegas.

This was a fun experience. My husband had never rode a horse before, and I have only ridden once before for an hour. So we were not experienced. They walk no trotting or anything you through a trail and we saw a lot of desert, mountains, cacti, and we saw a rabbit. We unfortunately didn't see any other animals. I was hoping to see some more. The guides were very cool and answered all our questions. They made us a delicious meal and cowboy s'mores. I got a lot of great pictures. It was about 68 degrees when we went and if I could change anything then I would have brought a jacket and a bottle of water. My husband wore shorts, but I recommend wearing jeans or at least something that covers your legs because you do go by some bushes that might be a little scratchy.

This was my first time on a horse, and it was amazing. The horses are well trained and gentle. They do most of the work. We were on them for over an hour. The food was yummy, well cooked. Both our guides were great and kept a constant chatter going and were very pleasent.

This was a great trip - my first time riding a horse, but a very relaxing experience. Our cowboy guides made us feel welcome, and although we didn't have a full briefing on how to work the horses, it was all a very safe and enjoyable. Lovely setting, watching the sun go down behind the canyon. Our steak meal at the end was of a higher quality than I had expected, very well cooked and presented. Cooking the 'smores on a GAS fire is very difficult - not sure a real cowboy would have any time for that!

On the information it says 5 hours it was actually closer to 4. Its overpriced for what it is. The thing that makes it is the stunning scenery. Horses are healthy and well looked after which was a concern. Enjoyable yes, do it again? Definitely not. Nice to watch the sun go down and be out of LV for a little while.

We really enjoyed our 'cowboy experience', riding horses and gawping at the views of the canyon. We'd never ridden a horse before, and were a little nervous. We were very soon put at ease and the horses are so well tempered. BBQ was yummy, steak was so tender - lots of food!

This was a wonderful finish to our vacation in Vegas. Emily, one of our tour guides, wrangler, etc was absolutely wonderful no, she didn't tell us to say that:. The wranglers were all extremely helpful and made the trip fun as well. Joanna, our bus driver and cook, was lovely. Very informative and a great cook as well. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone going to Vegas.

This was a great time. Beautiful views, wonderful horses and super helpful Wranglers. The meal was very good including the smores over a camp fire afterward. We really enjoyed the entire time and loved the mountains and area we went thru on the trail ride. Everyone will enjoy this ride and dinner.

Transfer included. Fantastic, lovely people. Well kept horses. Beautiful, stunning scenery in Red Rock canyon. Even better at sunset. So nice to have some down time among the madness of Vegas! My daughters, who are experienced riders on English saddles, loved the cowboy saddles and cowboy ride experience. _br/_ Between the 5 of us we had the steak, salmon and chicken options of food, which were all great. My steak was so tender. Too much to finish! _br/_ Regret we had no poetry or cowboy songs under the stars which we were disappointed about, hence 4 star rating, otherwise it would have been 5 stars. _br/_ Would definitely recommend, and would do it again if we return to Las Vegas.

We had a fantastic time! The weather was beautiful and the dinner was really good. We had a party of five and had both the steak and the chicken in our group. We had a 12 and 15 year old in our group, the 12 year old is around 80 pounds and not quite five feet tall yet and she did great with her horse. The guides were fun and it was a very nice evening for all of us.

Our Red Rock Canyon sunset horseback riding tour and BBQ was amazing! The guides and chef were so nice. The food was delicious! The horses seemed healthy and taken care of. My family and I really enjoyed the atmosphere around us during our tour with breath taking views and all in all enjoyable horseback riding. We'd do it again!

The guides, view and horses were wonderful. The van was on time picking us up form our hotel and the van driver was also our cook- an exceptional one at that. I had a good visit but for me, the terrain for one third of the ride was downhill and/or in rocky areas where rocks were so close together that the horse had to put forth much effort in picking her footing to prevent slipping on rocks. _br/_ I was too busy leaning back a bit to help the horse to notice the views at this point. The best part of the ride for me was at the very end where it was flat terrain. Easy for the horse to walk and I could look around without focusing on my horse. She was a good horse... Sugar, I believe her name was. For the horse's sake, I truly do wish the footing was flat for the entire 1.5 hr ride through the desert, especially since we were informed they sometimes do 3 of these tours a day. I would want easy footing for my own horse.

I went on this trip with my wife, I have no riding experience and found the instruction given very good, the horse was excellent, except a few times when he decided to go on a trek of his own, but soon sorted it out for me. My wife is an experienced rider and enjoyed the trip but would have liked a more demanding trail or faster pace. The staff were excellent and the food was fantastic, the stakes were cooked perfectly. Would definitely recommend this trip.

This excursion is a must. I had never been horseback riding before so was a little nervous but the staff were confident, friendly and all round great throughout the trip. The location is breathtaking and the actual trek time just right. Food was a hearty American meal and marshmallows around open fire was a perfect end to a prefect experience. Can't recommend this trip enough!

We really enjoyed this trip, the hotel pick up was prompt and we were told what to expect and lots about the ranch. We were matched with horse according to our experience and anxiety. The skilled wranglers made sure we were safe and enjoyed ourselves. The ride was over a mixed terrain with the beautiful Red Rock Canyon glowing in the sunset. The meal was huge and well cooked. There was time to chat to other participants and the wranglers after the ride around the camp fire. Made me want to ride a horse again.

A wonderful experience! A bus came right on time to our meeting spot at our hotel. Comfortable seats on the bus and it was only a short 30 minute drive. Staff was so friendly and welcoming upon arrival. A few papers were required to fill out prior to your ride and a detail orientation was givenvery helpful for first time riders. A true 90 minute ride into red rock canyon and the views were beautiful! The sunset time is a great time to go. We then went back for a BBQ dinner that was delicious! The size of the steaks we were given were at lest 16oz! So delicious and the sides were great too. Your night was concluded with a campfire and s'mores. Would 100 recommended this tour. Well worth your money. I do suggest bringing a light jacket and they do provide saddle bags for you to keep your belongs in while you ride.

Great experience! This was an excellent trip, highly recommended. We were picked up at the hotel right on time, and had a great drive out to the ride. Our experience on the horse back ride was great, horses were easy to ride, and the guides were awesome. Overall surroundings and views were beatiful and after the ride we came back to a fantastic dinner and a nice campfire. The experience was incredible and the people that worked here were outstanding!

It was windy and dusty but this trip was so beautiful. Easy pick up from the Strip and we drove all the way to Red Rock Canyon. While riding it was so nice to enjoy the views. The horses were looking very good. I rode September. She was a sweet horse during the ride and luckily I really had to ride that horse a little bit. It's a ride anyone can do even people who never rode a horse before. Believe me the world looks so much different from the back of a horse. The BBQ afterwards was so nice and well cooked. After the meal we went outside where there was a campfire and we roasted mashmellows and we had cookies so we could make S'mores. It was the perfect trip.

This was a fun way to end our western experience. The horses were great and the guides stop at one point and take photos on your own cameras so you have a great picture of your experience. The food at the end of the ride is awesome and if you love the great outdoors this is a fun way of seeing it.

Scary a times I had never ridden a horse before but after a while you could really enjoy the spectacular scenery instead of just worrying how to stay on. Real sense of achievement afterwards and fun bbq dinner afterwards to lovely sunset. People who run it are very friendly. Toilets are very basic but that is how cowboys go. :

We had a great time on the trail ride. The ride was very relaxed and took us through beautiful scenery. Our horses were Gerry, Maggie and Molly and they were all well behaved. Our wranglers Rose and Brian were great. They were really friendly and looked after us all the way. It was truly an oasis of peace and relaxation amid the hustle and bustle of Las Vegas. Last but not least the food was amazing so thank you Darlene. If you choose this tour you won't be disappointed.

This tour was truly amazing! Lovely to spend an evening out in the wilderness under the stars away from the madness of Vegas. I have ridden horses all my life but was a challenge to drag the hubby who had never even sat in a horse...turned out to be a highlight of his trip! And Vermondo...legend!

We enjoyed this tour. You are paired up with your horse, then guided along the trail. We took this tour in mid May. The temperature was fine. You ride your horse taking pictures of the landscape. Once back, you are treated to a big steak dinner if you like, chicken and fish are also on the menu, and then sit around the fire making smores and lively conversation. The people who operate the tour were great and we met interesting people for all over the world.

My wife and I had such a great experience on our recent horse back ride. From the moment we were picked up to the time we returned to our hotel. The staff was so friendly and knowledgeable about the history of the area. We were matched up with horses that fit our riding experience and had a great trail ride. The Red Rock canyon is so beautiful, especially at sunset. We were treated to great grilled steak dinner and camp fire smores. It was everything we were looking for. We will definitely do this again.

This was a wonderful way to appreciate the magnificent landscape of Red Rock Canyon. Very convenient being only 30 minutes from Las Vegas. My wife and I are inexperienced riders and appreciated the outstanding guidance and patience that our leaders Sandy and Katie offered. The barbecue dinner prepared by Darlene was equally delightful. We would highly recommend this excursion for folks who have not had the opportunity to explore this beautiful part of the country.

My wife and I enjoyed the Sunset Ride and Western BBQ while visiting Las Vegas. I'm not generally a horse person, but my wife really wanted to go and it was something we had not done together, so I went for it. I was a little reluctant with the high price, but she's worth it. It was money well spent. Robert, Jasmine and Sandy took excellent care of us and the horses. They answered all our questions, led us on a leisurely pace through the hills and canyons overlooking Red Rocks, and were a wealth of knowledge along the way. The horses were beautiful, well fed, and extremely well trained. I had Cricket and my wife rode Sunny. Both were easy to direct when necessary and I felt completely safe and comfortable._br/_ When we returned to the stables, Rick was standing on the cliff-side strumming his guitar and singing. He serenaded our group as we dined on delicious steaks, potatoes, corn, salad and beans. Rick was a source of entertainment all his own and was the real deal cowboy country singer. He used to tour with Johnny Paycheck and some of the other western groups. He was a great guy, super friendly, and just down to earth. We really enjoyed him. We barely had any room left, but enjoyed the smores made with chocolate chip cookies as we sat around the campfire as Rick took more requests._br/_ If you are in Las Vegas, check this out. It's less than you'll likely lose on the slots in 3 hours, and well worth getting off the strip for a trip back to nature and back in time. We drove out to the site since we had a rental car, but they also pick you up from several locations along the strip.
