Florence and Pisa Shore Excursion from Livorno

Livorno, Italy

You will be picked-up at the ship at the arranged time driven to Pisa, which is a 30 minutes drive, first to see the Leaning tower complex. Before getting there, you will be driven through the city to see some scenic views. You will stay in Pisa for about 1 hour, the driver can buy the tickets to climb the tower (18 euros p.p.).

From Pisa then head to Florence, about 1 hour drive; stop first at Piazzale Michelangelo, a top hill panoramic terrace, then to the city center to see the highlights: Duomo, Santa Croce, Ponte Vecchio, Paklazzo Pitti etc. A visit at Uffizi and Accademia can be added and the driver can book the tickets (16 euros p.p.). You will stay about 3-4 hours in Florence.

On the way back to the port we can detour in the countryside to visit an estate and taste some local produce like wine, olive oil, salami, cheese etc; the visit is lead by a local guide in English and lasts 1 hour. The drive from the estate to the port will be 45 minutes or an hour from Florence if we go directly to the port.

Leonardo was very helpful, informative and polite, and we felt very comfortable with him. He did not really engage our 2 kids, however, so I am not sure this would be a great tour for a family.

Best Tour ever.......My family and I booked this excursion instead of our cruise excursion. Our tour guide Leonardo surpassed our expectations.He was at the port on time.Very knowledgable, knows the history and even managed to hold the interest of all 3 of our kidsages:16,13,9 throughout the tour.We are vegetarians and he made the extra effort to find us a great little eatery for lunch and as an added bonus, took us to a Vineyard in Tuscany on our way back to the port.One of our most memorable trips. Highly recommend.

We had the best tour guide Andreas!!!! OMG...we just can't say enough good things about him...he really let us experience true Italian restaurants and made the tour fun and interesting. We would go back and book him again and again!

Our driver was at the pier with our name on a placard and was on time when we came out from the ship,the car was a nice Mercedes,very comfortable.We went straight to the leaning tower of Pisa and took lots of photos and he was very good in telling us the history of the area,we were there for about forty five minutes to an hour exploring the cathedrals and so on,when by the time we finished about 10 bus loads of tourists arrived.WE were gone and the next stop was Florence ,he took us on a walking tour at a casual pace no hurry what so ever,we walked through the town and did a bit of shopping he gave a good history lesson on the area,it was great in a way knowing what you were looking at,and took visual in your mind that you were looking at buildings that were thousands of years old.After that we went on a scenic drive and stopped for lunch in a big square and took more photos.I recommend this tour to anyone travelling to Livorno.

This excursion was for 8 hours on a nine-passenger van. Highly recommend if you are group of eight. Our tour guide was punctual, first took us to Livorno to see the Leaning Tower of Pisa. If you have time, go up the tower but you won't have time to to that on this excursion, as we still had to go to Florence. Our guide, Simone was awesome she speaks good English! She drove us through the countryside on our way to Florence, and that was really good as the views were amazing! Florence was for shopping, but if shopping is not on your list, you can ask the tour guide to personalize your tour e.g., winery/wine tasting as it was pre-offered to us, but we didn't do it.

When we stepped out of our cruise ship, our tour guide Leonardo was already waiting for us. He asked me where we wanted to go, and I told him our wish list. Leonardo is very knowledgeable and accommodating. There were 7 of us and we were comfortable in his mini van. We wanted to have a nice lunch, and Leonardo took us to a place that is frequented by locals. The food was one of the best I've ever had - even my kids cannot stop talking about how good the lasagna was. This tour was one of the most memorable we've had.

Leonardo was an excellent guide and we fitted in a lot of sights and Leonardo provided us with plenty of information about what were seeing. If only there was more hours in the day to fit in some shopping!

Our tour with Discover Tuscany, owned by Leonardo Soricelli was fantastic. We were picked up at our ship on time and we returned within our time schedule. The van was very comfortable and well air conditioned. There were 6 of us that included two children-11 and 8. Leonardo was great with us all and his English was perfect. Before the tour I told him what I wanted to see but failed to include a visit to the Tuscan countryside and a winery. He was able to get us squeezed in to visit. This winery visit turned out to be one of the highlights of our tour and was extremely special hearing the wineries history and story. We toured Pisa with just enough of a visit. In Florence we wanted to visit the Museo di Palazzo Vechhio which turned out to be a great choice. The kids enjoyed this visit. We also toured town and Leonardo pointed out all kinds of places and things to see. We ran out of time so we grabbed lunch on the move and had to skip the Galleo Mueseo but we will have to visit this another time. I would highly recommend this tour company. It is your tour and you can decide what you want to see or Leonardo will help guide you. A great insighte to the Tuscan area and worth every penny we paid.

This was an outstanding excursion! Our guide, Leonardo, extremely well versed in Pisa, Florence and Livorno history. Picking us up right at the cruise port, he gave us an extremely personalized experience and even added in a Tuscany wine tasting experience on the fly. For about the same price as just transportation from our ship port we had one of the most memorable days of our cruise. Definitely well worth the money and significantly cheaper than a non-personalized cruise ship excursion. Book this excursion if you want to get a taste of Livorno, Pisa, Florence and Tuscany in one day.

We were in Florence and Pisa last year so this year we wanted to bring our son and parents.. It was very convenient having a van and our own driver accommodate us . The ride was somewhat jerky and the driver wasn and #39;t tuned in for a smooth ride. These are not licensed guides don and #39;t expect history.
