A 5-hour hiking tour on the edge of Ljubljana, to the hills of Šmarna Gora or Rašica. Enjoy a lunch filled with local Slovenian delicacies and see spectacular views of beautiful Ljubljana from above.
When you look from the Ljubljana castle tower to the north, you will see a double hill called Šmarna Gora and Grmada, which resembles a volcano and is one of the favorite meeting points of Ljubljana residents.
On the hilltop of Šmarna Gora, you will find a magnificent baroque church and an excellent restaurant. With a belly full of Slovenian delicacies, you can take a walk around the church walls and enjoy the view of one-third of Slovenia, from Styria over the Julian and Kamnik Alps to Notranjska and Dolenjska. Beneath Šmarna Gora, you will of course see Ljubljana in all it's magnificent beauty.
When looking towards Šmarna Gora, on the right you will see another hill, Rašica. A pleasant walk through the woods in summer, full of mushrooms and blueberries, we will take you to the top of the hill to a lookout tower. The tower offers spectacular views of the Šmarna Gora and the entire Ljubljana basin. Under the tower in the woods, there is a cozy mountain lodge, where you will be pampered by a young team with homemade dishes and craft beer.
