Hampton Court Palace Priority Entrance Ticket

London, United Kingdom

See where King Henry VIII wooed his many wives with fast-track entry to Hampton Court Palace. Even better, by purchasing your ticket ahead of time you'll enjoy priority entrance. Don't waste time waiting in lines on vacation!

Flamboyant Henry VIII is most associated with this majestic palace, which he extended and developed after acquiring it in the 1520s. The palace's many royal occupants have ensured the palace has fabulous furnishings, tapestries and paintings. It is set in beautiful formal gardens, which include the famous maze and the Great Vine.

Hampton Court has a designated Family Room, where parents and young children are invited to take a rest from the bustle of the palace. The play equipment is suitable for children aged under five. Family Trails guiding children around the palace are available at the Information Center.

The palace is pushchair friendly and a lift is available if you'd like to access the upper floor without using the stairs.

Hampton Court is just half an hour from Central London by direct train and is a great place to spend a relaxing afternoon out of the city!

At least three hours is recommended for your visit to Hampton Court.

Loved Hampton Court Palace. We took ourselves there on the train and didnt really need a priority ticket as there were almost no people when arrived.

We purchased the entry tickets before hand but found it really didn't make a difference even if we had purchased the tickets on-site. The audio guide was good but make sure you block several hours to see everything. We didn't get to see everything and we got there at 1230 and thought we had enough time. The attraction is worth the visit, lots of history to see.

I loved this tour! It was better than expected. Of course I love history, period. My favorite part was the skit by the actors in the great hall and the kitchens! Just amazing to walk where Henry VIII walked. Since it was cold, we missed a lot of the outdoors areas, but will definitely come back.

This tour was good but not as easy to get in as some of the other tours we’ve taken. We didn’t realize that we needed to go to the regular ticket window first which slows the admission process.

A self guided tour, with audio guide - a must, in order to follow Henry the VIII and the rest who populated Hampton Court.

This tour was brilliant, one day was not enough to see all that this site had to offer. Using Viator allowed us priority entry. Recommend that anyone who goes on this tour uses the audio guides as they work very well at this site.

An amazing place. We spent four hours plus there but could have stayed longer. We suggest you go early. Having a Viator ticket ahead of time made entrance easy and smooth. We watched several history specials before we went which enhanced the quality of the visit, but nothing compares to actually being there.

Always great to skip the ticket line. Arrive at opening time to beat the crowds. The rooms and artifacts on display are lovely, I did wish there was more. The display with Princess Diana's gowns and photos was fantastic and I was very happy we were there in time to see it. Do not miss. Highly recommend taking your time in the gardens, the park beyond and the Orangery just a short walk away for afternoon tea - a memorable experience.

A good visit to the historical location. Self guided. An interisting historical reancatment was presented in the Great Hall during my visit. I enjoyed walking in the gardens. Adequate access to food services and bathrooms. Do advance planning to get to the site from central London. Visit as soon as possible in the morning to reduce the crouds that come later in the day.

Lovely Palace with multiple activity trails for the kids! Plan to spend the day here as they have an amazing kids playground where your children will play for at least 2 hrs. Helpful guides in each room and audio tour included in tickets. We just used her ghost siting activity trail and the map.

Loved Hampton court although just walked in with everyone else would alow about three hours if you did it at a slow pace

Review by:   Diane R,    July 2017 Review: 1 star rating: I do not recommend this
My issue is not with Hampton Court, which was wonderful. My problem is with the priority entrance ticket, which was a waste of time and money because there was no priority ticket entrance. After seeing the ticket counter line to get in, I asked someone where to go since I had bought a skip the line ticket. A woman told me to go right to the entrance of Hampton Court. We did and presented our printed ticket. The people who work there looked at me like I had three heads and said I needed to go back to the ticket counter. I told them I was just there and they told me to go to the entrance. One of the workers disappeared for 10 minutes to resolve the issue. In the meantime, people who had been in the ticket line, passed me on their way into the palace. Don't waste your time or money on this ticket.

It was easy to book the priority ticket, and there were no problems at the gate. Just be careful to print out the paper voucher before you leave on your trip, or make sure your hotel can print it for you. Hampton Court is a great day trip, just don't assume, as we did, that you can also go to Windsor in the same day. There was so much to see at Hampton Court that we did not make it any further.

I am not sure whether this booking helped us skip the lines since we still had to go to the usual ticket counter. The day we went there were no lines though and we had a very good experience overall. There were various shows that the kids will really enjoy and it is worth the money since the palace will take 2-3 hrs to cover.

So much easier when you can skip the line! Just remember to stop at the ticket office to exchange your Viator paper tickets for Hampton Court tickets. DO NOT miss the re-enactment with Thomas Culpepper and the other actors. I believe this happens by the fountain in the main court area around 12noon. Ask to get the exact time. The whole court experience really came alive for us with this._br/_ Taking the train out .Hampton Court is interesting. There's still a walk to it after you get off the train - maybe 3/4 mile - and the trains don't run too often, so check the schedule so you don't have a long wait. I can recommend the hot chocolate from the vendor at the train station it was freezing cold!.

Loved our visit to Hampton Court, we did the tour on our own with headphones. Great history, magnificent palace of Cardinal Wosley who had to give it to Henry V111. _br/_ Would strongly recommend.

Although we purchased skip the queue tickets, when we arrived at the ticket office, there was no skip the queue facility and we were told to wait in line. When we got to the front of the queue, we had to wait until someone went into the back office to print our tickets.

I love Henry VIII history so this tour was at the top of my list! There really was no line when we went in the afternoon, so that part was unnecessary. I am amazed how open the house and grounds are. In America, everything would be behind a rope or glass. In the UK, you get much closer to the real thing. This house just keeps on going...as it kept on growing through history. The tour is designed to emphasize the history behind that fact. By all means, take some time to enjoy the park. After days of touring, it was a beautiful spot to just sit and enjoy.

The day we went to Hampton Court there were no queues but I can see how advantageous the skip the line facility would be and I would do this again. It's like insurance. You may not need it but very glad of it if you do. The free audio commentary was very good. It is very informative, some times too much so but you can skip forward and back as you wish. Fabulous to see something that we had previously only seen in books and on TV. Highly recommended.

Great history in a beautiful place. Getting out of London by train and enjoying the Palace and the town was a great day out. Would highly recommend. We also did the bike ride around the grounds which made a really nice day out.

Not fantastic in terms of the jump the queue experience, as we still had to queue for quite a while at the pre-purchase ticket office and the instructions didn't say we had to do that. Hampton Court Palace itself though was amazing. In future, I would just go and pay there.

This tour was amazing! What a great palace with so much history. Be sure and tour through the Henry VIII kitchens and Queen Mary - Privy Gardens! We took a horse drawn carriage ride at the entrance of the main garden.._br/_ Just by the exit at the back end of the Palace. Learned more history here.
