Hollywood is a place, a name and a phenomenon known in every corner of
the globe. But there is so much more to this mecca than just movies.
Hollywood is a living museum of American architecture and history.
Discover little known theaters, landmarks and architectural marvels on
this insightful one hour walking tour!
Part sightseeing tour, part architecture tour, part history tour! Go behind-the-scenes on the only tour in Hollywood offering access inside to landmarks including Disney's El Capitan Theater (where the Disney movies are premiered), Grauman's Egyptian Theater (birthplace of the movie premiere), the Blossom Room (site of the first Academy Awards ceremony), a real Hollywood 'Speakeasy' from the gangster era of Prohibition Hollywood and the Stella Adler Academy (where movie stars train as actors).
In just over a hour, your guide will personally escort you directly to Hollywood's most famous landmarks including Grauman's Chinese Theater (home to many stars' hand and foot prints), the Dolby Theatre (home of the Academy Awards), Hollywood and Highland, the Walk of Fame, the Hollywood Sign plus much more. By way of a personal headset, you'll listen as your guide tells you about the history of
Hollywood and movie making plus the stars that helped shape Hollywood.
A good walking tour of Hollywood, though I wish we could have seen a bit more of the Chinese theatre. That was really minor though. Totally recommended.

Really had no expectations but WOW was I surprised. Pip did a great job and we really felt like we were back when Hollywood started. Just the right amount time for a walk. Thanks

This was a nice tour for a good price. Yes, Hollywood Blvd. is a little seedy, but it is also the home of much cinema history and the home of the Academy Awards. Only with a tour would you really appreciate what the different sites along H-B represent. We thought this tour did a good job of highlighting the good, the bad, and the ugly of the move industry. We suggest parking a block or two away from the Blvd and doing a parking meeting. We paid for lot parking 15 and then realized that there was probably no reason to do that.

This tour was great!! Excellent view of Hollywood Homes. However, they vendor needs to post better signs of site location..It was a hassle to find among the chaotic hollywoodslightly comparable to NYC time square. As a result I was a lost and late. But overall had a geat time

This tour didnt cover much grond, but the guide told some fun facts and about the history of hollywood. It was also nice that you got to go inside the Egyptian Theatre.

The tour was very informative and went longer than 1 hour. I'd suggest doing the earliest tour when the street crowds are thinner.

Interesting with a great historical perspective well worth it. We would have liked to have seen the inside of more of the theaters light the Chinese Theater than we did, even if it took more time and cost a little more. The guide was very well prepared and informed, and had a wonderful personality.

We enjoyed the Behind the Scenes Walking Tour. The Grauman's Egyptian Theater is gorgeous and I honestly had no idea the Dobie mall is where the Oscars are held. And thanks to the juicy details about Hollywood's historical elite, I'm a bit conflicted about the snapshot I took of Charlie Chaplin's star on the walk of fame. Hmmm.

The walking tour met my expectations. The tour guide was able to provide additional information about what we saw, was friendly, and didn't lose anyone.

very informative to get into the Egyptian Theatre and to look at the hand and foot prints at the Chinese Theatre with some information about it, given by the guide.

Jared was our guide. Highly informative tour. We saw and learned things one would never get by walking the area by yourself, especially with the large crowds in the area. Recommended if you want to learn the history of the area and see sights you may not get into any other way

Guide (whose name I can't remember) was very informative and fun. In a short time, I think I got a feel of the the "old Hollywood". Enjoyed this walking tour despite temperatures over 100 degrees.
Review by: Lynette A H, July 2014
This was a great tour. In a short space of time we walked and heard the history of Hollywood. It was fun. The guide managed the group well (crossing roads and staying as a group while we walked through crowds). We all were connected via headsets so we could hear all the time.
Review by: John C, May 2014
The guide was really good and we learned a great deal about the past and present of Hollywood Boulevard (with a little bit of future mixed in). Well worth our time and money. - Family on a tight budget

My friend and I enjoyed this tour - the guide was excellent! The only complaint I have is that nowhere on the website did it indicate that it is customary to tip the guide.- so we felt unprepared. And the guide was deserved a generous tip!
Review by: Oscar B, April 2014
It was great, very interesting facts about Hollywood, a glimpse to the Hollywood sign and a great explication of the walk of fame. We enjoyed it a lot.
Review by: HRU, January 2014
The tour guide gave us a lot of history about Hollywood which was nice. Was friendly too. The place was very crowded, so even with headphones, it is hard to fully hear what the guide is saying unless you stay close to him/her. The place where the tour starts is somewhat inconspicuous, so go there fifteen minutes early so you can find it.

After a long flight from Sydney to LA arriving early morning - thought this was a good way to spend a few hours._br/_
It was very interesting and informative and a good snapshot of the Hollywood strip area including the theater tour._br/_
Especially enjoyed the various stars that were pointed out as well as some of the hand and foot prints in front of the Chinese Theatre.

The guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining, and worked very hard to ensure people were involved in the tour. This is a great way to get a little more insight into Hollywood, but there wasn't much 'Behind the Scenes'.
