It was about 3 hours from Lucerne. One thing to be wary of is the weather if you book the tour ahead of time. You may want to wait until the last minute to book, as there isn't much to see when there are clouds engulfing the top. While the cost of the tour is pricey, it is worth having someone who knows the train schedules, has a reserved car for you on the train especially important in busier months and can lead you around. Our tour guide didn't provide much in the way of 'touring' during the ride back and forth nor while at the top. She was friendly and educated on the things asked, just not proactive in providing information. Bus ride was very bumpy and side to side - I don't know if that was due to the drivers driving capabilities or the intense switchbacks up the mountain!!!! Even in early May, it is BUSY!!!! Having a guide to keep us straight was such a relief. Grab yourself some Swiss Alps whisky to enjoy at home. One of the staff recommended a whisky liqueur as well. And apparently this is the mountain where Bollywood movies film if there are any mountain or snow scenes!!!

Our tour guide, Boy, was wonderful. There are a lot of connections and you definitely need someone to guide you. The scenery and information we received made the trip even more than we expected. My husband got ill from the thin air, and our guide made sure he was well taken care of.

The tour itself was great. We all felt bad that we left a woman in Interlaken, but also had to respect Kid our tour guide for leaving her. He went to each person to confirm that they knew when the bus was leaving, so she had no excuse. And she never did catch up to the tour. The view from Jungfraujoch was amazing, at least when we first arrived. The weather started to change about an hour later, so we were really glad to have arrived when we did. The price of the tour seems a little expensive, but everything in Switzerland is expensive. And given the cost of the train tickets, it's almost a bargain.

This tour was a great way to see a snapshot of Lauterbrunnen and Jungfraujoch. Unfortunately, we didn't have great weather as it rained/snowed the whole time limiting visibility of the sights. The weather improved in the following days. We booked this tour in advance to fit in with our itinerary and to avoid it selling out. If I were to do it again, I think that I would wait and book closer to the date to check the weather forecast. Nonetheless, it was a great day out.

I was disappointed in my tour. It was my impression that we were to visit Lauterbrunnen and Grindelwald but instead had a very short window of about 20 minutes only in Interlaken, enough time for a bathroom break. I actually contacted Viator ,before we actually departed for our vacation, to ask specifically how much time we would have in both towns and was told possible 1 to 11/2 hours, which at the time surprised me. I failed to get the persons name I talked to. Our guide was gruff and slightly rude at times. I felt very rushed as if herded thru like cattle. Upon completion of tour we ended up having about 45 minutes down time before leaving top of Europe so I felt the rushing was not necessary. Other than this Jungfraujoch was a sight to see... So Beautiful and definitely worth seeing.

All I can say is..... WOW!!!! The reviews weren't kidding! This tour was most definitely the highlight of our trip to Switzerland! Not only is the country stunning... not only was the tour itinerary amazing..... our tour guide, Kid, MADE this tour!!!! He is absolutely hysterical! We had the time of our lives and are very grateful to have had Kid as our tour guide. He made the tour so much fun - I haven't laughed that hard in so long!! Kid makes this tour so unique - he took some pretty incredible pictures of us and others at the top of the mountain and sent to us to take home. Some of my favorites of the trip! Absolutely amazing time - thank you Viator for offering this tour! It's one we will never forget!!!!

The younger people in our group thought this was a great trip, but the rest of us thought it was a little too demanding and fast-paced. Our guide was brusque and practically ran us through the various stations, but we understand with a group of our size, he had to be so rude to manage the schedule. He was very accommodating, taking great pictures of passengers from the train windows with the mountains in the background. His skills at enabling the best possible pictures were amazing. I was just disappointed that this was such a large group. Because of the number of people, both in the group and on the mountain that day, we hardly had time to do anything. And through no fault of Viator, the facilities on the mountain were terrible. Lunch was impossible - expensive, tasteless fast food that you had to wait for forever. Also not attributable to Viator, the scenery was, of course, the most beautiful. We had fabulous weather which made the mountain scenery spectacular. I would take this or a similar tour when in the area. It can't be missed.

Fantastic trip would definitely recommend it. The guide whos name I've forgotten was a bit bossy but funny with it. He was brilliant in herding a big group of us and making sure everyone knew exactly where to take the best photos on the train. He even took some for us.

This was a total rip off. We have taken several trips from viator. In this case, we were left alone by the tour provider. There was one person to control 20 ppl and he was hardly able to keep up. During train off boarding, we 8 ppl boarded a wrong train and then got separated. Then somehow we came to know about it.. turned back and reached Jungfrauch after quite some time. There we made announcements if the tour guide was waiting but no.. he was not to be found. We then had to make all the arrangements to come back to Lucerene on our own.

The trip to Jungfrau is a must to anyone visiting Switzerland. The tour bus picked us up from in Lucerne with passengers from Zurich and was punctual. Although the tour guide Kid was very efficient and gave us great photo opportunities, we would have liked more info about jungfrau and the geography of the region. Everything seemed rushed and time constrained and although we would have loved to, we had no time to do the glacier walk. Also, being tourist season, the place was packed. However, the day we took the trip was beautiful with fantastic views up the cogwheel train and on the top of Europe. Well worth the visit!!

This day trip to the 'Top of Europe' was a real highlight! _br/_ Our guide Kid was very entertaining, knowledgeable and organised. As we travelled to the top, he always made sure no-one ever missed out on the perfect photo opportunity. Many facts, tales, tips and tricks also kept us thinking, informed and entertained along the way. Once at the top, Kid's ability to navigate us through the very large crowds to ensure we saw and did everything we wanted to, was very much appreciated. _br/_ In the middle of summer we were also able to experience all weather conditions. After two rainy weeks in Europe, I finally had a sunny day in Lucerne and decided that this trip looked exciting. It was a wonderful day and Kidd was a superb guide He made sure we didn't miss a single unobstructed view and took care of us like a parent ensuring that he knew where each of us was at all times. We saw the Eiger from the train and went to the top of the Jungfrau. If altitude affects you, you might think twice before ascending to the top, but I found it well worth every cent it cost and I HIGHLY recommend Kidd as a guide. He was amazing.

My mom and I took this tour in April 2017. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate. We got on the bus in Lucerne, where is was cold and rainy. We were really looking forward to some amazing views, but the higher we got, the less we saw. At the top of Jungfraujoch, all we could see was blinding white everywhere. We had booked the tour months in advance, and this was our last day in Switzerland rescheduling wasn't an option. So, we made the best of it. Our tour guide, Kid, was great and he made the whole experience very memorable, despite the bad weather. The train rides were very cool, and Kid went out of his way to take pictures for us. I would definitely recommend this tour even in bad weather, but I'm still said I didn't get the amazing views I'd imagined. Mother Nature is fickle.

Were disappointed that we would not make it beyond Kleine Scheidegg due to high winds. But the bus ride via Interlaken and train ride to Kleine Scheidegg was all along breathtaking. Lucerne is nicely located for the day tour and is not very exhaustive. Cog wheel ride is amazing experience. Tour operator tried their level best to make it to the top but unfortunately the weather was not permitting. However, they were prompt is refunding the difference without asking.

The best tour I did in Europe. The trip is amazing, it takes you from Lucerne to Jungfraujoch via Interlaken by train. We were lucky to have a great tour leader, Kidd, he made this an unbelievably great tour. The views of the hillside are breathtaking and scenic just like the postcards and pictures. Kidd is larger than life and full of enthusiasm and excitement and he is all about you having a memorable day. Kidd was more than happy to take photos for you but would also ensure that he got the best landscape in the background. Jungfraujoch is beautiful, great view of the alps. I highly recommend this tour as a must do!
