Ayman, was my private tour guide. He was personal, friendly, and very knowledgeable. He made my trip!

I have to say, this was a wonderful trip. The wife and I would consider the accommodations as four star as they were a little dated. But, WELL WORTH WHAT WE PAID. I would recommend this River cruise to everyone.

AMAZING EXPERIENCE from start to finish.... I did not sign up for the private guide option but was assigned one. I had the privilege of Michael Samir's company for the duration of my cruise. Michael is an OUTSTANDING guide..... His in-depth knowledge, passion and professionalism were second to none. Thanks to Michael, I would rate this trip 10 star not just 5 !!!!! The AMARCO1 was a great boat, excellent service, good food and the staff made every effort to make me welcome for the duration of my trip. The tombs and temples were extraordinary! Make the effort to visit ABU SIMBEL, it is a must see this is an optional trip and it is not your assigned guide who will accompany you - I hope you are lucky and get a decent guide..... mine was awful. Fantastic memories from each place. Sadly, my Egyptian adventure is over. Shukraan/thank you Michael for making my Nile Experience a trip one I will forever cherish.

The is the second time we have taken this cruise in 12 months. The staff was great and we can't say enough about how wonderful everyone treated us. Our guide was excellent and will remain friends with us for years to come.

This was our first tour booked with Viator and we were pleasantly surprised. Very organised which gave piece of mind to mum, super friendly guide and #39;Haythem and #39; who looked after every detail for us, and the cruise had large clean rooms, smooth sailing, the food varied a mixture of western and egyptian.

I would guve this trip 10 stars not just 5. The boat and staff were so nice and went out of their ways to make us happy. Iour tour guide was amazing! Very polite and pleasant person. We enjoyed his company very much. I will try to add puctures to this review later! It was such an amazing trip.

The tour is really great. The room is perfect. However, if the door at the end of the hallway is left open, then the exhaust fumes comes into the boat and the room and it is nauseating. Make sure they keep that door shut. It is totally worth paying for the private tour. Aviator on-line support was amazing. However, I sent Aviator about 10 meals asking to clarify certain things. They promised to respond within 24-36 hours...they have not responded to a single one!!! Viator just abandoned us.

I really enjoyed this cruise. There is a lot of free time and you can choose what you would like to do on excursions. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. There were not many passengers onboard for our trip, and we had the same guide for our group of five the whole time. Food was great!

great trip....outstanding value for money....unbelievable sites.....having more detailed trip notes and someone on the ship to give us a more comprehensive history of Egypt would have helped us to understand more about what we were looking at.....locals selling felucca trips, horse rides and taxis were a pain in the backside and the police ought to be doing more to stop them....guidance from Viator about how much to tip and to who would have been very helpful and helped to remove a constant source of worry

The swimming Pool was dirty - we did not use pool for the entire trip. The cruise itinerary 8days 7 nights as advertised was not followed. We did not overnight in Edfu on return, the ship went from Aswan to Luxor with a three hour stop before breakfast. We got back to Luxor a day earlier than advertised. We sailed only thee days, two from Luxor to Aswan and one day from Aswan to Luxor. We stayed at the Hilton Luxor Resort & Spa before the cruise and after the cruise and that was definitely 5 STAR - a well recommended Resort. There was no electric jugs in our two cabins. Tea and coffee was served at breakfast, but we had to pay for tea and coffee at lunch and dinner. Bottled water and soft drink was LE 12.0 on the ship and LE 3.0 to LE 5.0 on Land. There was no complimentary bottled water in bar fridge in cabin. The bar fridge was empty - no grog or soft drink at all. We could not borrow or rent an iron for ironing my shirts. WE had to pay for the very slow laundry service on the ship. The laundry service could not guarantee reliable outcomes for their service and so offered as an example 10 x the value of the cleaning cost i.e. LE 5 for a Shirt. That would equate to LE 50 for a shirt that I paid LE 500. There was no safety briefings and where to go if we were on fire or sinking, even the staff gave me as many answers. The internet Connection was very slow. It was a 6 day 5 night cruise, Luxor to Luxor. The only cruise from Luxor to Aswan over two or three days and then travel to Abu Simbel.

Trip down the river was excellent from Luxor to Aswan; enough people on board to make everything worth doing. Trip back from Aswan to Luxor was not nearly as good. Very few people on the boat, and as we had seen all the temples on the first trip, sun baking and swimming in the plunge pool where the only activities.

El Nil, as we now call it went beyond all my expectations it was a wonderful experience especially so as there was only 10 passengers for the first 4 days and 25 for the last 3. The up side of cruising out of season! Full marks also for the tour guide.

Could not fault the ship itself, the food or board service. Excellent in all respects. Only drawback was initial boarding at which point all we had was a voucher and there was no one to meet us on boarding the ship. To their credit however the front office manager of the ship soon inquired as to who we were and organised our documentation. They ended up sending over a guide some 2 hours later who informed us of the program and told us the cabin number. That part could have been much better handled but the overall experience was excellent. Would recommend but make sure they provide written documentation before you board.

Everything worked well, the ship staff was very kind and helpful. The food was very good, and the sites we saw were unforgettable. It was sure worth doing! A history course on the go.

The ship itself was lovely. However, the orchestration of our tour was less then great. Our first guide was horrible, and when we managed to get a second guide, it was only with much difficulty. In the end, it was a good experience, but annoyance in the actual structure of activities limited its enjoyment.

Continual maintenance work being carried out during the cruise, electric sawing, hammering, etc which went on until late at night. Refurbishment of lounge during the day. Unpleasant smell of cellulose in cabin as a result of maintenance work. Brick and marble flower bed dismantled in reception area during last two days of tour, creating a hazard when going to the restaurant and getting on and off the boat. _br /_ Lack of information from crew, eg. breakfast time for following day changed after we had retired. No additional tours offered by guide, inquiries met with 'difficulties'. Guide left boat in Aswan so we were on our own for the return trip. Tour itinerary different from one supplied and no reason made apparent or given. Significant amount of tips expected when on included tour, tips for bus driver, boatman, etc. Food cold and not varied. Insufficient food on the return trip at mealtimes.

This is a great relaxing way to see the Nile and the sites of Upper Egypt. The cruise staff was very friendly and our tour guide was very helpful and informative. Unfortunately, he could not travel with us on the cruise due to the boat being fully booked, as we were told, so he met up with us at each stop. The only other setback for us was not being met at Luxor Airport on our arrival, as arranged, meaning we had to get a taxi from the airport to the cruise boat. Otherwise, it was very enjoyable overall.

Great trip! Service on the boat was excellent during this peak Christmas week. The boat was relaxing since it was the 7-night tour, but you could do the Nile cruise in 4 or 5 days as is also offered on this boat (though for some reason, not by Viator). Pack your jacket during the winter months as the mornings and evenings are cool, but days are sunny and warm. Entertainment was weak. Food was pretty good for a buffet, always with red meat, chicken, fish, salads, and fresh fruits. Heard no stories of intestinal disorders. We had a fantastic guide who gave us the history in a compelling fashion without endlessly going on and on or just repeating phrases as inexperienced guides can do. He made our tour experience fun and memorable.
