The Lyon City card includes unlimited access to 22 of the most prestigious museums in and around Lyon. Enjoy guided tours, self-guided audio tours, boat tours (April to October) of the city as well as unlimited use of the public transport system. Museum entrance is restricted to one admission per museum, per duration of the card.
I am a great believer in getting the City Card for cities we go to for the first time. First, you get the transportation card included. In Lyon, we used mostly the Metro which gets you anywhere fast! Second, you get a City Bus Tour Hop-on-Hop-off type which takes you everywhere in the city and you get a flavor for the various sections and what you might like or dislike about them. We also got the 2 hour guided tour of the Old Town which was probably our favorite tour of the whole 3 weeks we spent in France Nice and Paris were our other destinations. We got free entrance to many fascinating museums and even to a puppet show and museum. It's great how the puppets started in dentistry. This card is perfect for the first time visitor to Lyon.

I was very sad that this card did not include the on/off bus. It was very confusing because we bought this specifically because of the on/off bus. Imagine our surprise when they told us at the bus that the card did not have this feature.

The Lyon City card is the best deal for your money. City transportation, museums, boat rides, and just plain convenience makes this expense easy to justify. I recommend this card because Lyon does have hills, and sooo many places you will want to visit. This was the first item I purchased before my visit and I would do it again. Cheers!

Good value and a great way to get to appreciate this wonderful city. Lyon is a great place to spend several days visiting. The city has it all. Great food and wine, museums, transportation system and best of all the friendly people of Lyon. We used the public transit system which is very efficient and visited a number of sights including the Musée des Confluences interesting museum to visit for half a day or more. The museum has a great restaurant located just outside the main building and the Musée des Beaux Arts de Lyon, which also has a wonderful collection and a lovely outdoor restaurant. Great place to stop and re-energize after a few hours of visiting the museum.

Just two activities a day and the card paid for itself. I got in 3 activities one day, 2 the second, plus used it for public transport! It was very easy to use and accepted at all of the locations I visited without any problems. I highly recommend!

Be aware that this card is valid from the morning of the day stated. Not from the time that it is activated. As we had a difficult time finding the tourist bureau, we didn't get the value from it that we would have wished.

This was well worth the money and great way to take in Lyon in one day. We picked up our card at the Lyon tourism office, and it was one of the most well-organized and beautiful office we have ever been in. The people there were very helpful and gave us lots of tips for how to take full advantage of the card. We took advantage of the hop on/hop off bus tour and we visited 2 museums. We also took advantage of the extremely well organized and easy to use public transportation system to save some walking time. I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Lyon.

The city card was well worth it. If you're only spending a few days in the city I would highly reccommend this, as this saves you having to worry about buying the correct tickets for the correct destinations constantly. It not only gets you onto the public transport system but also into museums.

We purchased the 3-day pass. Over the course of the three days we visited only half a dozen of the included attractions, but combined with the transport pass, we still got good value out of the Lyon City Card. What purchasing the card did for us was give us lots of information about Lyon and lots of options so that we could tailor our sightseeing to our interests. It also encouraged us to go to a couple of attractions that, if we had to pay specifically for that attraction, we may not have gone but as it was included in the price of the Card, we went along._br/_
We would certainly recommend the Lyon City Card.

Was in some ways dissapointed with it as we had booked a 3-day pass for a 4-day stay and only found later that we could not use it on public transport on arrival as you have to travel to the tourist info centre to get it validated. This meant paying to get to the hotel and either taking all our luggage with us to the TIC en-route or going to the hotel and out again!!!!!! For the cost per day (£22) for 2 persons, you have to pull in a lot to make it worth it, especially as we did not spend any on day one. The only way we got some of it back was to travel on the bus on our 4th day to the station in the morning, saving around 3 euros each, so in actual fact it was nearer £30 per day over the 2 remaining full days left to spend. The big bonus was the freedom to just jump on and off the local transport and go on the river boat and into one of the museums. I am not certain I would have bothered with the museum though if I had not felt that I had to spend it on something! I do not think that it is worth what it costs do do that though, so would not buy one next time.

Good value and even more so if you can get organised with planning. This i did not do but by asking the right questions at the Tourist Centre where I collected the card I still think great value. (The boat cruise is fantastic and recommendation to spend time in old part of the city across the river and up to the Cathedral made for a memorable day)
