Feel the passion and heat of Spain's traditional dance at the legendary Cafe de Chinitas flamenco show. Be swept up in the rhythm as an internationally renowned flamenco group of artists perform Spain’s national dance, against a background of beautiful Spanish tiles inspired by Granada’s Alhambra. Some of the greatest names in flamenco have sung and danced on stage, and no Spanish trip is complete without experiencing flamenco in Madrid. Watch the show with a drink or choose the dinner option to include a traditional Spanish meal.
Founded in 1970, Cafe Chinitas is located in a beautiful and inviting 18th century mansion – a perfect place for those wishing to combine Mediterranean cuisine with the best flamenco in the Spanish capital. Some of flamenco’s most important artistes have performed at Cafe de Chinitas. Tomas de Madrid, La Chunga, always barefoot and spontaneous, the legendary Rosario, Maria Albaicin, Carmen Mora, PastoraImperio, Manuela Vargas, and the "Los Pelaos" family as well as the most outstanding singers dominating a variety of styles, such as Carmen Linares, Tony Maya, Maria Vargas, Enrique Morente, El Lebrijano, and Jose Merce, who started his career in this tablao to become one of the most famous flamenco artistes of the moment.
Among the guitarists that have performed here, one must not forget the grand maestro Victor Monge "Serranito", Andres Heredia, Manuel Sison, El Entri and the Carmona brothers, better known as "Los Habichuela". Nowadays, some of flamenco’s top virtuosos and young promises perform regularly at Cafe Chinitas, who see the tablao as a door to the flamenco world.

Terrific show in very intimate environment. Great dancing, singing, guitar playing and ambience. Really worth reserving a dinner there to complete the evening. The food was great, and lots of it. Highly recommend this experience.

Fantastic ! The dancers, singers and musicians were performing with all the energy, passion and their heart as they would have done had they been in front of their own family gathering. _br/_ Restaurant comfortable and waiters very helpful and friendly.

Amazing!!! Amazing!!! Amazing!!! Did I say Amazing!!! The show was absolutely amazing - the dancers, singers, musicians, everything was absolutely amazing. And, the food and sangria were also great. Would definitely book this again.

Our performers were amazing. Our father in law told us not to expect much in the way of food, but we were pleasantly suprised by the the dishes.

Very disappointing, manager more concerned with squeezing as many people into an uncomfortable venue as he could. The food is inedible. Dancing was good without being spectacular. And then they charged me 20 Euros for one beer and a glass of water!

The Flamenco show was great and the deco in the restaurant beautiful very moorish, the food was average, all in all a very enjoyable evening

the place is stuffed with furniture you can barely move.....substandard flamenco performance with a claustrophobic atmosphere!!!

Wow! The dancers and musicians were amazing! The dinner was a letdown though. Overall, it's highly recommended.

This show was disappointing. We were really excited and looking forward to the show. We went on a Thursday night. The performers appeared bored, there was no interaction with the audience and we were sitting close to the stage. The staff were disinterested and bordering on being rude. They had your money and the staff could not have cared whether you were there or not! If you go, check your bill, because they tried to charge us for someone else's table. They were drinking lots of straight spirits and had already left. When we objected they said Well someone has to pay!

Extremely dissapointed.Expected show to last longer. No castanets used and also would have thought that they would have performed together.Plus when arrived they couldnt find our booking, even though we had our paperwork.

First time seeing Flemenco! The dancers were fantastic!

You can't go to Spain without experiencing an authentic Flamenco Show. I thought it was very entertaining and the outfits were beautiful. The staff was attentive and friendly. They also let us stick around for a second performance since I was there on a slower night. My only criticism is this is more of a ticket to a show than a tour. You have to find your way to the venue and back to your hotel. Luckily for me it was only a few blocks from my hotel so it worked out perfect!

The dances were beautiful, but there was no customer service in the resteraunt. Literally 0, no one even told us when the show was over, we sat at the table for a long time thinking it was intermission or something. They would not even sell us food or more drinks! (We had the one free one.)

It was a good experience but at 50 dollars just for the dinner, food was sub par. Hardly any options and not impressive. The show was good. But I would recommend spending a lot less money somewhere else.

The show was great but kind of long....don't include dinner....not worth it. Just get some drinks and eat somewhere else.

We had a really good night at this venue with an excellent Flamenco show. We had a three course meal, but the dessert was a little disappointing, just a little bit of chopped fruit in juice in a small bowl. Otherwise definitely worth a visit...

This was just ok. The dancers weren't great and one of them seemed really bored and not present. It seemed very touristy.

First bad review. The show was good but the acoustics are horrible and everyone is talking including the waiters, thus it is hard to hear the show. I ordered the dinner and showed them I had. After that they never brought the dinner but ignored us the remainder of the show. They were very cold and uninviting.

The dancing was unique, the dancers all different and you could tell they loved what they were doing. The back ground group was not what I expected (I did not realize there was so much chanting) but they were appropriate to the dance. The food was very good but the restaurant was a little crowded.

Show was fun. Food not so good. Preferred the tapas and flamenco. Otherwise go on your own.

This is the worst Flamenco Show we have been to. The flamenco dancers except for one of them were old and looked as though they were well past it. It was not a professional show and the dancers lacked fire and passion. The venue also was not very good and the drinks were very expensive and the service was extremely slow. As we were not enjoying the Flamenco Show we decided not to stay. We were told afterwards by one of the hotel staff where we were staying that there were much better flamenco shows around that were very good. A week later we went to see an authentic flamenco show whilst we were in Seville which was fantastic.

If you go to Madrid, do not miss this at any cost! For all the spanish culture you've seen on TV/Web this is the real deal. The flamenco performance was amazing. Started off with just the instruments (guitar duets) followed by 4 dancers. The performers are brilliant, energetic and keep your attention for the show. Worth every penny.
Review by: Biljana B, August 2014
The show was amazing! The performers were really into it and had so much passion - it was so much fun. However, the service staff is somewhat incompetent. They moved us THREE times, even during the show. They need to get it together. Happy that we did not buy the dinner option as it looked like they were serving baby food.

SHOW WAS VERY GOOD. DONT OPT FOR THE DINNER WITH THE SHOW.MEAL WAS NOT WORTH IT. EAT BEFORE OR AFTER SHOW.
Review by: John H, June 2014
Food was ok. Cafeteria style but what you would expect. We took dinner package which included a tolerable sherry and a pretty ordinary red. I think the wine was sharp and a bit disappointing. However the show was great. Met all expectations. An added bonus was to have own table for two. Often you will be in a share situation which can reduce enjoyment. Had a great seat flush with the stage and had to shift wine glass so dancers skirt didn't brush it. Up close and personal. Venue is small and when you consider number of performers and their need to make a living out of it cost is reasonable. Good value.

Great Classical Flamenco. The venue was small so we were up at front of stage and it was very loud .We enjoyed the dancing and the guitar music.
Review by: Victoria W, May 2014
The dancing and music was very good. But the start time on the Viator confirm was wrong (9:30 instead of 9:00pm). DO NOT buy the dinner package though, food was not good and the wine was cheap. Better off buying dinner yourselves beforehand.

Very nice show, the dinner also very good, people from there very friendly. It was my daughter''s birthday and the waiter brought the desert with a candle on it, singing Happy birthday!
Review by: Tina H, August 2012
Dancing was ok. The place was very small and we had no idea of the program or what was happening. People started leaving after about an hour during a change of acts and we were wondering if it was meant to be an intermission. As far as we worked out it wasnt, after about an hour and a half all that was happening was a man playing the guitar and we decided to leave. We didnt do the meal option and people who did were just being served their dinner as we left.

Great evening. The food and wine gave a very authentic feel to the night and the show was really energetic and entertaining. The room is beautiful. A lot of people left right after the dinner and main show but we hung around after as the entertainment continued.

Good show. The show was 3 hours. It was also within walking distance from our hotel. There are so many choices for Flamenco shows. Wondering if there is an easier way to decide which show to choose.
