Start your tour with a safety briefing and some basic training before setting off on a route through central Madrid.
Pass by Almudena Cathedral, recently completed in 1992 after more than 110 years of construction. Although the church is relatively new, this spot has been a place of worship since the city's earliest settlement.
The Palacio Real or Royal Palace, was the brainchild of Felipe V, the first of the Bourbon Kings. His plan was to build an architectural masterpiece to rival its European counterparts. What you now see is an Italianate baroque colossus boasting around 2800 rooms. It is still used for official receptions, however the current King does not reside in the Palace. You will also see the beautiful Sabatini gardens in honor of Francesco Sabatini, an Italian architect who worked a great deal on the Royal Palace.
See the amazing Templo de Debod, a 4th Century-BC Egyptian temple which was saved from the rising waters of Lake Nasser and sent block by block to Spain in 1970.
Cruise through the famous Plaza de Espana where you will see a statue of Spanish writer, Cervantes. At the writer's feet is a bronze of his most well known characters, Don Quijote and Sancho Panza.
Return to the heart of Madrid, Plaza Mayor built in typical Herrerian style. Formerly a center for Royal festivities and Bull fighting, the square was burnt to the ground in 1790 but, was subsequently resurrected. Today the square is lined with shops and alfresco cafes, which makes it the perfect place to end your tour.
Madrid has so much to offer that no amount of time spent there would do justice. But this Segway tour showed us the best of Madrid and easily made it our favourite destination in Europe. The tour guide Alex was extremely helpful and helped us get comfortable with the Segway before exploring the beautiful city of Madrid. The Segway is definitely a win mainly for its ease of usage and compatibility. The tour showed us the historical and modern side of this vibrant city. We were fortunate enough to have the weather gods bless us with pleasant weather that made this tour lot more enjoyable. Though the tour company kept us waiting for a bit, they made up for it by giving us an unforgettable experience. Highly recommend this!!

At first I wasn't sure if I could ride the segway. But it was really easy and fun. Both my husband and I are in our late 50s. No problem using it. Three thumbs up!

I didn't get to really do the tour because I fell off the Segway after bumping into a bollard soon after we started. Having never ridden a Segway before, I didn't know what to expect. It wasn't for me because I couldn't get the hang of it and it didn't help that we had very little practice time and that Madrid was so crowded that you had to watch that you didn't crash into a pedestrian. Having said that, my friend had no trouble and she had never ridden a Segway before and the instructors were nice and oursRoberto was very knowledgable about the sights visited according to my friend who completed the tour.

It is true that learning the Segway is easy. The guide was very friendly and he took us to some interesting spots. The only bad thing is that Madrid is so crowded that you are really concentrating on not running people over than looking at the sights.

Wow ! Just amazing. We did not know to drive the segway before this trip, but the guide helped us learn this in a matter of 10-15 minutes. Its really very easy to drive it even for a first timer. After learning - there is no stopping. The guide took us to all prime/noted touristy places and gave a brief explanation. We went back the next day to those places to explore more of Madrid. We truly enjoyed our Segway Tour! The Segways were very easy to learn and navigate, we covered a lot of territory in 2.5 hours, and our tour guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. He was interested in customizing our tour to our interests. There is so much to see in Madrid! My one suggestion is that the company offer an email address to confirm. We tried to call and confirm our tour as requested on the booking and spent 15-20 minutes on hold on two separate calls and never was able to speak to anyone. We just showed up hoping that we could still have our tour. They didn't seem to have a problem that we had not confirmed, but it caused us some anxiety. In spite of that, we would do it again.

We usually love this kind of tours as it gives you the opportunity to visit places that you had no time or chance to see before while walking all over town. Unfortunately, we had a very nice guide with a very limited English and knowledge of the city history. If possible, make sure to get a guide that is doing this for at least a year if not more.

Angel and Chris were GREAT!! As I was the only one scheduled for the 6pm tour, they gave me the Royal Treatment. I had never ridden on a Segway before, but it was extremely easy to grasp. As an initiation to any new city, the Segway tour is the way to go. You get to see a lot in a very short timeframe without having to do the hop on/hop off bus tour or walking. I would do another Segway tour again.

Best part of our time in Madrid and best tour we took in all of Spain! We had a 2.5 hour tour with Angel and it could not have been better. He asked us what type of tour we wanted sightseeing, parks, history, etc and tailored based on that. I had never ridden a segway before, but he patiently taught me and I quickly picked it up. He had interesting and funny tidbits of history that he shared throughout. He also patiently was a photographer for us when we wanted to capture the moment. I can't recommend this enough!!!!

The highlight of our trip. My two boys, 10 and 13 years old, loved the Segways. They were a fun and efficient way to see Madrid. Our guide, Bou, was very nice, informative, and accommodating. I wasn't sure if my 10 year old, 75 lbs, would be allowed to ride, but they had no questions, and he did fine. would definitely do it again!

My husband and I have enjoyed a number of Segway tours in other cities as they are a great way to get your bearings and locate important sites as well as being a lot of fun. This 90 minute tour disappointed us as we didn't glean a great deal of information about Madrid or even see the most significant buildings such as The Royal Palace, cathedral and the 2 most important art museums, Reina Sofia and Thyssen. That said, our guide Daniel was clearly well informed when we did stop at places of interest, but there just weren't enough of them.

This is great and a really enjoyable way to see a city. Myself and my 2 kids 16 and 11 took the Segway tour and it was great fun. the guide had perfect English and was very knowledgable and well known by all on as we shot around the city. Top class afternoon. Next time I visit a new city I will start with a. Segway tour as you get a really understanding of where everything is and can go places you just wont get to on foot. Overall these guys are pros and it was top class.
