Mallorca Catamaran Cruise and Snorkeling Trip

Mallorca, Spain

Have a fun day swimming and snorkeling off the beautiful coast of Mallorca on this 6.5-hour catamaran cruise! You’ll enjoy views of the breathtaking shoreline of Mallorca, the main island of the Balearic Islands, and you’ll have several swimming and snorkeling opportunities in the Mediterranean Sea. On the north route, you'll cruise along the Bay of Pollensa toward Formentor Beach, where you'll stop for a delicious buffet lunch. On the east route, you will depart from Colonia Sant Jordi and stop at the beautiful beaches of Es Trenc and Es Cargol, where a buffet lunch or dinner will be served.

Have a fun experience at sea on a 5-hour trip aboard a Mallorca catamaran cruise! The cruise departs from one of two locations – see Tour Options below for details.

Cruise from the Northern Part of Mallorca
Relax on the drive to the Pollensa Port. Here, board your catamaran, and enjoy views of the Mallorca shoreline and the neighboring island of Menorca as you cruise through the Bay of Pollensa.

Sail past Barcarets, Mal Pas and Las Caletas Beach, and enjoy several swimming and snorkeling opportunities (snorkeling equipment is provided). Relax and sunbathe on the catamaran’s benches or nets while you continue sailing on the Mediterranean Sea toward Formentor Cape, and grab a drink from the boat’s bar (own expense).

In Formentor Beach, stay aboard the catamaran as it drops anchor and enjoy a buffet lunch of grilled meat, salads and desserts, with water and the famous Spanish sangria (a wine punch). Then return to the Alcudia port.

Cruise from the Eastern Part of Mallorca
If you are staying in the eastern part of Mallorca, your catamaran cruise will follow a different route. Hop on board the boat in Palmer, in Colonia Sant Jordi, and take in views of the southeast coast of Mallorca as you sail toward Es Trenc Beach. Stop here for approximately 30 minutes to go for a swim or sunbathe on the beach.

Continue to Es Cargol Beach, where you’ll enjoy a longer break. Swim and snorkel in the beautiful blue water and go back on board to enjoy a buffet lunch or dinner of grilled meat, salads and desserts, with water and soft drinks. Enjoy the views of the stunning south coast of Mallorca on your way back to Colonia Sant Jordi.

Cruise from the Southern Part of Mallorca

If you are staying in the southern part, your boat will leave from Palma de Mallorca Port and sail on the south east coast.

See Itinerary section below for information on pickup locations within each area.

The Catamaran Cruise was absolutely fine. It was best happening of the whole week we spent. The ship was interesting and crew friendly. The lunch, weather, drinks and music were just perfect. Only thing we wanted that it should take couple hours longer than a half day approx four hours. More time for sailing and swimming ._br/_ More may be next time..._br/_ Pekka and Tanya

This trip is not for nature lovers, it is for drunk people that like loud bad music!!!

What is billed as a 6.5 hour trip was only about 5 hours. They call it a snorkeling trip, but no equipment is provided, nor was it indicated you had to bring your own. They book the trip to the max with barely enough seats for everyone. The lunch was good, but serving soo many people in a small area was very crowded. They try and upsell you to be able to sit on the bow of the boat. 20 euros gets you a big pillow and 2 drinks. You are under engine power for 95 of the time with only a small sail out for a short period. Great scenery and a pleasant day with nice weather.

Pick up was a little late, catamaran was very crowded, which made it a bit uncomfortable. They need to cut down on numbers by at least 15 people. Crew very friendly. Swim stops were good. Lunch also good, with chicken, pasta, and bread. All in all a good day out for the money.

Very nice value for the price! Drinks were very well priced, and the food was good. The catamaran was nicely equipped and the crew was very nice and welcoming. Only dissapointment was there were only two stops for snorkeling. Overall, I recommend this excursion!

The trip was fun. The company running the trip were great. Good food. Trip last 4 hours. Viator could do with knowing a little bit more about the trips they are booking for. They were not really able to help enormously with my questions. I would be skeptical about booking with Viator again.

The crew were nice and friendly. Lunch was great. The only thing was that this is not a snorkeling trip as we had to pay for the equipment so it's not included as it said on the invoice. The trip lasted shorter than expected. We had a great time, the end was a bit confusing, it was not a round trip.

This tour has just lunch during 2 hr free time at one place and nothing else. _br/_ Pick up /off service wasn't provided with the reason that we stayed in the center of the city. _br/_ They didn't even mention about snorkeling and also didn't include snorkeling equipment. _br/_ You have to pay for the beverage except for the lunch time. _br/_ For the staffs, it seems like it was the time for selling the beverages becuase people has nothing to do on the deck. _br/_ Also staffs are not helpful, not supportive, and not kind._br/_ The cost is very expensive when considering its services and conditions.

Pure money making trip!!! 85 from 100 possible people cramed onto a cat, Softdrinks only free during meal, snorkeling equipment a joke - only goggles and snorkel, no fins...trip took about 5 hours, from which 2 hours where spent at one spot with no real snorkeling area...rip off!!!! Trip started on hour later....

The trip was marketed differently. We didn't stop at any beaches but only once in deep waters. I was expecting to see at least one beach... And the picture of the boat does not look like 50 people can get on board, which was the case.

I took the east coast trip. I thought it wasn't worth $100. It is NOT a snorkeling trip. They don't even have fins for you. Basically it's a booze cruise. I would not recommend this trip. If you are looking for a booze cruise there are trips that are specifically for that. This is not for snorkeling

Many thanks to Toni at staff at No Frills Excursions who were able to get me a spot after I couldn't go first time around due to illness, and were terrific with directions for meeting the boat. A really wonderful way of seeing Palma from the water. The captain and crew were lovely and helpful, everyone on board seemed to enjoy themselves. A relaxing, and fun way to spend the day!

The crew was great. The places we stopped to swim were beautiful. We did the southern route. Beware though, this was a booze cruise. There was a huge group from Austraila on the cruise. Unlimited sangria for all. Things got a bit crazy. It wasn't appropriate for my children.

The boat trip was a lot of fun. We enjoyed getting the chance to jump off the boat and swim as well as have lunch aboard the boat. The only issue we had with this trip is that we didn't do any snorkeling at all. Overall we had fun though.

Review by:   Geneviève E,    August 2012 Review: 2 star rating: It was OK, but could have been better
After purchasing this trip, we received the information that we have to contact the supplier by ourself to arrange the hotel pick up. After contacting them, we received an email telling us that they do not offer the cruise on Mondays but that he would arrange a replacement trip for us (we could not go on another day). He kept his words and got us into another catamaran. He even called my hotel to make sure we would received the information as soon as we would check-in. However, the main reason why we purchased this cruise was because we were going to visit 6 beaches. The cruise that we end up we end up with was for only 1 beach which we stayed 2 hours at. Food was great though. We were a bit disappointed about that and are still wondering why the cruise was offered online for Monday if the supplier does not run on this day... I would not book again on this website but you would definitely go back on a Catamaran tour in Palma!

Pros: They serve you a very nice meal of the catamaran and on the way back they go slowly to several nice areas around Palma so you can see the building and take pics from the boat. _br/_ Cons: We did this in May and the fast ride with lots of wind was chilly and the water was ice cold. They pulled into a beach area but to get to the beach you had to swim so we were trapped on the boat and were soo cold that the whole thing just sucked. If you do this do the tour in July or Aug and only if the weather is good. The crew were sweet but did not talk to any passengers nor did they actually explain what the sites we were seeing were. So as far as a tour...this did not fit the bill.

We had a very nice day on the catamaran. They stopped a couple of times to let us swim and lunch was very nice along with the drinks. Crew was very nice as was the boat. Would definitely do this again.
