The nearest stop to the cruise port is Stop 12. However, you may board the bus at any one of the 16 stops around the city.
Palma de Mallorca, the capital of the island of Mallorca, which is famous for its beaches and beautiful sea, has a beautiful historic quarter, deeply marked by history. The cathedral, the Palace of Almudaina, the fish exchange, and Plaza Mayor are just some of the places where visitors must stop.
You can hop on and off as many times as you like aboard this City Sightseeing open-top, double-decker bus. There are 16 stops, and the entire route takes approximately 80 minutes. The bus departs every 20 minutes from each stop. Tickets are valid for 24 or 48 hours from first use, depending on the option selected at checkout.
This excursion is located within a 10-minute walk to the cruise port, so you determine the time you return to your ship in Palma de Mallorca. Please allow yourself ample time to enjoy the excursion and ensure your timely return to the port. This excursion is not covered by our worry-free policy.
Boat Tour Upgrade The combination tour includes your hop-on hop-off bus ticket plus a 1-hour boat tour around Palma Bay with a selection of drinks and snacks served on board. (First tour is at 11am, last tour at 4:30pm, departing from Escalera Real.)
Walking Tour Upgrade The combination tour includes your hop-on hop-off bus ticket plus a 45-minute guided walking tour. See the Cathedral, La Almudaina, and San Francisco Church, and capture the history and culture of the City of Palma de Mallorca. (The first tour is at 12pm, the last tour at 6pm, departing from Antonio Maura, bus stop number 1, and finishing at the same point.)
Bellver CastleUpgrade The combination tour includes your hop-on hop-off bus ticket plus admission to Bellver Castle. You will take the bus tour for 1.5 hours, followed by a 45-minute visit to Bellver Castle, a Gothic-style structure near Palma's city center.
Went around the city on the bus. It takes about 90 minutes to do the entire route. Good stops in various places. The stops are far apart so you really can't walk to a different stop to avoid part of the route, which is a bummer.

Once we were able to get on board a bus the tour was fine. We had to wait over an hour to get on the first bus. There were too many people in port that the bus could not accommodate everyone. There should have been better planning by the tour company to have sufficient buses.Many unhappy people waiting in the line!

The bus tour was good although the staff could have been more helpful. Although I had paid for the boat trip we were not able to do this. Although I booked this trip before flying to Europe, I was not informed when booking that the boat had stopped sailings for the season.

Loved to have the opportunity to see this city albeit not thoroughly. Pick up from the cruise terminal is very nearby. Bus driver does nothing to help you. We had to change seats and share the earphones to hear about this beautiful city. We visited on Oct 22 and it was just like a lovely summer day. Had to do my shopping for my Mallorca pearls on the ship.

This was very convenient. Just a short walk from the ship to the bus halt.Takes you to all the interesting places to see. Might have to wait a bit for the bus if there are many cruise ships berthed. Don't forget the walk in the tree lined shopping district.

Saw some good sights from the bus but it was too slow at each stop. We spent ages waiting at each stop which was a waste of valuable time. Don't do the full loop like we did first...just get off at what you want to see.

When coming from the cruise ship there were no signs to point you in the right direction which meant we walked past the nearest stop as it was on a different street to the sea front and by the time we got to the next bus stop we had to wait 10 minutes before one turned up. Unfortunately this one was full so we had to wait for the next one. Hop On Hop Off should have a sign up at the end of the port entrance road advising passengers where the stop is. The weather was also diabolical but I cannot blame that on HoHo.

All of the issues encountered were NOT in Viator control. IF you only want to ride around and see the more of the town this is a wonderful way to do it. However, if you get off at one of the more popular stops then you waste a lot of time getting back on another bus took us 3 buses passing to get back on at one site. Bus stops are not well marked and they do not match the numbering system on the flyer, not all were stopped at, and there was no real indication of how to notify the driver if you wanted off at one of the less popular stops. Would have to think hard about doing another one of these tours.

We took the bus by the Cathedral which was very easy to find. Although we have an option to take it from the port which was walking distance and it is a covered walk way. Definitely worth the money for this bus.

The time for this excursion was not clear. It says 10 AM so we arrived at 10 AM and after calling the company we were told the bus would not arrive until 10:50. After standing in the cold rain for 30 mins we decided to just take a taxi and have them take us around. For 50 euros a driver took three of us for 2 hours around the island. The driver gave us the history of the island and brought us to all the places we wanted to go. I would recommend just getting off the boat and doing this. There were also at least 100 people waiting for the bus so there was no guarantee we would have made it on the first bus.

This is the best way to see the whole city and learn about the many unique features. They have earbuds to allow you to hear the narration in your native language. They also have enough buses so that you don't have to wait very long for the next bus and they usually have seats available on every bus.

Good way to see the sights....but from the Port we get the bus at 14, not 12 as suggested! That should be changed!! Also, when we got the bus to return to the ship at 4:15 mid way thru Town, we were told it would take over an hour to get to the Port due to traffic. So, we had to take a taxi back as ship was leaving at 5:30....this should be mentioned in the information.....but good tour and beautiful city! barbara
